My Family

Update 12/3/07 On My Daughter London
London had the surgery to correct the wound today. It went better than expected!! They were able to clean out the scar tissue and the old nasty stuff then they pulled down the tissue and were able to close it completely. They did however find a hernia in her abdomen and they took care of that at the same time. The surgery was scheduled for 2 hours but took almost 3 hours. I was so pleased when they finally came out and told me that it went so well. London is happy with it and in spite of extreme pain is in good spirits. She will NOT have to have the skin grafts that they thought she would need. There is a drain in her to help it drain and heal quicker. She will probably be coming home in a day or two. it will be so good to get her back here again. Thank you all for your support, thoughts, prayers and well wishes. Several people have been trying to get in touch with me the last couple of days, so here's the basics... I have been dealing with depression for most of my life and over the past two years, my life has been spiraling out of control. I never drank until two years ago and due to my additive traits, I sucummoned to Mr. Jose Cuervo and the last 5 months or so is has gotten MUCH worse. In fact, I believe that I had only been tipsy once up until December of 2005 (at age 33) .This will not be a shock for those who know me, but maybe the degree for which is has risen may. In fact, there was not a day last week that I did not drink at least a 5th of tequila. I got a motel room Saturday, drank over a gallon and drove myself crazy when I could not get any of my friends or family to come see me. This binge lasted until the next day, when I was so completely shitfaced, that I apparently walked out into traffic on Hwy. 85 in Charlotte. Thankfully I was not hurt and I did not cause anyone else

Ok I know some of you woman think you know what I am going to say but listen up and read. LoveMmm many of have been in love and some of us no longer believe it exists any longer. What do you do when you have so many thoughts going through your mind and you don't know which is the right thing to do? I try to believe that there really are no bad people out there but once again the mother of myh boys has proven me wrong again. Work And Life
I have often heard speak of something called a work/life balance. How this is achieved I am not sure as my life seems ever more preoccupied with work. For those that have noted my absence, I can only apologise but work has indeed taken me away a lot. I am doing, on average about 55-60 hours a week (and that is work and doesn't include lunch time etc). However things are coming to fruition as there appears to be some move to get some people to manage those areas that I don't need to do. This leaves the more interesting work to do and removes the drudge. Add to that, my manager seems to recognise that I am pushing a little too hard and has gone out of his way to ensure that I am included in the 'fun' areas. In fact I shall be going to Paris (France) tomorrow morning for an all-expenses paid lunch with first class travel all the way. What A Day!
Okay, my cousin's accident wasn't even all that happened...the sad saga gets worse. A very close friend of mine's mother was taken by ambulance Friday (they live in the mountains of PA and are 1 1/2 hours from nearest hospital) after having a stroke and seizure at their home. She has had a spot on her brain for the last 10 years and was told by her doctors then that if she ever started having severe headaches to let them know for it might be a sign that she would end up needing surgery. Just recently, she started having headaches that were severe but didn't quite make it to a doctor. Once they finally got her to the nearest hospital, she had another stroke and seizure. They wanted to stabilize her before they moved her to Univ. of PA but even if they got her stabilized, there was a winter storm happening and it's actually still snowing there so there was no way to move her and apparently, the hospital she is in is not equipped to perform the needed surgery. I bought a cactus a couple of weeks ago, and much to my dismay, it died the other day. And thats when it occured to me....I'm less nurishing than a desert... I was at the park the other day reading a book, and, to my surprise, I heard someone making 'smooching noises.' I looked up and saw a man standing about 5 feet to my left. At first I thought he was smooching at me, but then I realized that about 4 feet to my right, there was a squirrel. The squirrel was paying the man no attention, as it was eating an acorn. Have you ever noticed, that while you are driving, or even if you are just observing driving for that matter, whether it be from the passenger seat, or as a pedestrian, that no one....and I mean no one, at least in your mind drives as good as you. It's hilarious once you realize that everyone on this planet, in your mind, is either a slow-poke, or a crazy bastard. I finally found it out thanks to my 8 year old son who, quite happily pointed out that in a span of 30 seconds, I had yelled at someone to get out of the way, followed directly be screaming at someone for being an asshole. So it got me thinking....never in the history of my life, or at least the last 14 years since I have been driving, have I ever said..."Man that dude knows how to drive." Just one of those things that is probably and indication of how much free time I have on my hands, but funny nonetheless.......

Some general maintence procedures for your computer are listed below. This is just general how-to knowledge that may cause your computer to run more smoothly and restore funtions without having to wipe your drive and reinstall everything. The easiest way to fix any glitchy computer can be done by simply using the format command from a command screen. In order to format your hard drive you will have to boot your computer to command prompt mode using the F8 key on your keyboard at system start up. It will activate a command promt where you can type format c: It will then ask you to confirm file delete and then upon typing "y" and pressing enter it will start the format process. This will cause complete and total data loss for the selected hard drive. However most people would rather not do this because of all the files on their drive that have a value to that person. A Typical Childhood Summer Vacation.
My mom used to date a guy named Ed for a while. His son Ritchie and I ended up good friends so it worked out pretty well. Ed had some friends up in Michigan that lived on a farm. New Chair
My old desk chair finally broke last weekend... it was so work out that only half the cover on the seat was still there. lol. I used a chair from the kitchen table last week, and that wasn't too comfortable. So today I got a new one. I had one picked out, just like the old one. $49 at Office Max. Why Does The Keep Happening?
There are times in my life where I feel like I give far to much of myself to someone or something and I always end up feeling disappointed with the results. Why is that? It usually happens in love (or lust as some may call it), but I have noticed in friendships as well as careers. I find myslef putting my heart, soul, and feelings out there, and when I reel the proverbial "line" back in, very rarely is there anything on it but despair, heartache and disappointment. I’m At 170! *last Time I Checked*-- Written Yesterday
Yes, last time I checked I weighed 170 pounds. I can't even remember last time I weighed that much. I keep losing weight, and that makes me so happy. At my highest, I was at 220. I vow never to weigh that much again-- ever. I was always happy to just get to 175, so you have no idea how happy I was to see 170 on the scale. My next goal is 165, then 160. I know that I can do it. Josh said that he will start taking me to the gym in the afternoon, because there aren't that many people there at that time. I asked him if he would stay near me until I am comfertable to be by myself, and he said that he would. Members are now able to re-rate a photo about once per week... the re-rate will count as a full rating (ie: it will look like they've never rated it before, but the number of ratings and the average rating will keep increasing for the photo). So...I had a dream last night that kinda threw me through a loop. I had a dream that I was at some country club helping my mom clean up and my ex fiance came in and picked me up and kissed me. Taking A Break
WHEW~! Can you say busy?? This weekend ended up being a busy one for me. The kids and I got up Saturday morning and went shopping. They got each other some things and I picked up some household things. Then I went grocery shopping. It was nearly 2:30 by the time I got home and we left the house at 8:30 that morning...WHEW~! Sunday we went and visited with my best friend at her Mom's. My best friend lives an hour away but her Mom lives 30 minutes away. So when she goes to visit I try to go over and see her. I had a good time chatting with her. Even though we talk all the time through e mails...it is not the same as seeing her face to face. So far today...let's see where to begin. My son and I took my daughter to school and headed to Wal-Mart for some things. We left there and went by a store for my sister and then over to another clothing store (Ross) so I can try and find me a dress for this coming weekend. well the day was october 30 2000. i had to go into the clinic for a blood draw, since my nose had been bleeding non stop for 2 days. well the lab had called my mom up and told her they thought they had made a mistake. so i had to go back and get it drawn again. the next morning one of the nurses from the lab sad i had to get to the er because i have end stage renal disease. which basically means kidney failure. so my mom rushed home from work and took me to the er. mind you it was halloween day so i was pretty freaked out. when i arrived at the er i waited only 10 mins before i was in a room having an iv put into my wrist. then within the hour i was having emergency surgery for a catheter to be put in my neck for dialysis. i was so sick the first 3 days i don't remember much except that i was in icu. i remember the third night i was taken to a regular room. the first meal for me in 3 days. i could barely eat i was still weak. after the first few dialysis treatments i started to feel be
