Hiya I just wanted to let you know why i haven't been online all week and won't be on that often over the coming weeks. My mum underwent surgery last Tuesday for lung cancer, they removed half of her lung. I have been back and forth to the hospital every day and when she is discharged i will be going back and forth to her house to look after her for a few weeks/months. So my visits here will be sporadic to say the least. I may well be signed in here but not actually here, if you get my drift. I rented this, because Jason Statham, in my wife's eyes, is one of the hottest men in the world. In fact, he's Jason Hotness in our house, for easy reference. And I like action/crime movies, so we both got what we want. Wesley Snipes and Ryan Phillippe were also in the movie, and thats a plus for me also. Wesley Snipes is one of my favorite actors. He usually overacts, which he does here, but he does it so well, and so often, you just expect it. He's in a bunch of my favorite movies, and he is in his better role, that of a bad guy. Ryan Phillippe plays the rookie cop, Jason Statham's new partner, and is really good in the role. He's best known as Reece Witherspoon's ex hubby, but if you check out his movies, he's always solid. I know what you're thinking, another vampire movie. And in some aspects, you are correct. But in a twist, it takes place in Barrow Alaska, which has a month of darkness, hence the title. I'd first like to compliment the casting person. They did an excellent job of putting the right people in the right spot. Not once do you look at the person, and say that there is no way that they could play the part. Usually there's one or two per movie, but not here. Next I'd like to compiment the special effects people. They did some gore, but didn't go overboard. In today's overboard society, they did a great job of reigning themselves in. The acting was good. There was very little overacting. It seems like an unknown cast, but you will recognize a few of the actors, from similar sized roles in other movies. I once was into writing poetry. It seems that while I am not necessarily as into it as I once was, the urge to write it has returned. I think I will go back through my old stuff, re-touch up things, then expand upon my former works in a way that is fitting of who I am now. I used to be an angst filled teen and young man who knew nothing of life, beyond what I perceived to be true. I have learned a lot in ten years, and maybe I can write poetry now that will finally bring me a bit of relief rather than more pain.

Its a very hilly town, the houses are built into the slopes and the streets are steep. Yesterday, after sudden illness struck two weeks or so ago, my mom's mom, my grandmother, the grandparent I was closest to and the one that was deeply beloved by the entire family, passed beyond this world into the next. She was an amazing woman, her humor, her wit, her truly unique view on life and love and family was something to behold. She lived a good long life during her near 90 years here amongst the living and passed almost exactly 20 years after her husband, my mom's dad, my grandfather, passed under rather sudden and quite similar circumstances. Well,I changed a few things on Fubar for me. Nothing like the last time when I changed the Scrawny Pale Guy to Phuck Q. All and became an instant asshole.Much to Alice's chagrin,Phuck wont be back.But there will be somewhat of a name change here eventually. Well, where to begin?? I just got home about 3 hours ago from L.A. and after an 8-hour drive, I'm pretty beat, but the trip was great!!!! Update!
hey all this is for the ones that I told about what happened or what was wrong with my dad...well he is in good shape right now maybe alittle weak from laying in a hospital bed since last monday til friday cause monday morning he about had a heartattack and they hospital that he first went to put a stent in him and all this stuff and he stayed all night there and then they decided to take him to central baptist hospital tuesday morning and have surgery done which didn't happen cause dad agreed to not smoke cigarettes anymore and he was in ICU there for a couple of days and then they let him go home friday afternoon that's about it and he's doing really good and he hasn't smoke a cigarette ever since even mom hasn't had a cigarette lately!

Going Into The Hospital
This Wed April 2nd at 10:30 I'll be in the hospital getting a hernia repaired that is above my naval. The Doctor said I could be in the hospital 3 to 4 days. Fruit Stuffed Pineapple Shells 1 small pineapple 1 large papaya 1 orange 3/4 cup chopped dates 3/4 cup plain yogurt 1 T. honey 1 T. chopped fresh mint or 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mint 2 bananas 1/4 cup EACH chopped macadamia and coconut Cut pineapple lengthwise on one side of the stem so that you have two parts, one is larger then the other. So I am partially asleep when my cell phone rings. I blow it off and think I'll call back later. It keeps ringing. I pick it up. Grilled Lime & Cantaloupe Salad You make this fruit salad to accompany grilled meat dishes. 1 cantaloupe- cubed into bite sizes honey cayenne 1 lime Cut lime in half and place both cut sides on your grill until you get nice brown grill marks on them and they will be caramelized. Another Update
Still stuck at my father-in_laws..but we are looking for a place. Things are getting worse there so we are trying to get away as soon as we can...Lee is finally back at work(WOOHOO). We are always fighting with them about the light bill and since I am rarely there I don't know why they are fussing at us for the light bill being so high...we have an 18 yr old nephew that comes in and out all hours of the night and day that does not have a job and eats everybody's food. So not only have we been paying to stay there as it is..we are feeding him too since he gets in our food without asking while we are gone and we have nothing left when we get back...I WILL BE SO GLAD TO GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE

Gingered Tropical Fruit Plate 2 medium bananas 1 1/2 T. lemon juice 2 oranges 1 medium pineapple, peeled, and cut into 1/2 inch rounds 1 papaya, peeled, and cut in 1/2 inch lengthwise slices Raspberries (optional) Red or green grapes (optional) Lime wedges (optional) Ginger Dressing (directions follow) Cut bananas into 1/2 in diagonal slices; toss with lemon juice. This is an odd Blog. I am posting it with my cell phone. Many of you know what has been going on with me here lately but most of you don't. He had heart trouble but was given a clean bill of health 3 days before we lost him. My whole family made the trip to attend his very emotional funeral. He was a veteran so he recieved veterans honors. Well my grandma was not healthy enough to make the trip so we placed her in the hospital for observation. well her health dropped this morning very fast and very bad. The doctor was asking us just a while ago if she was a DNR and if she has a living will. I am scared because I will not be able to handle lossing her as well. Fresh Orange And Onion Ring Salad
Fresh Orange and Onion Ring Salad 4 large oranges 1 large red onion, sliced into separated rings 1/2 cup salad oil 1/4 cup white wine vinegar 2 T. sugar 3/4 t. paprika 1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. dry mustard Butter lettuce Remove peel and white membrane from oranges; cut into thin crosswise slices. Layer oranges and onion in shallow bowl. Combine oil, vinegar, sugar, paprika, salt and mustard; blend well. Pour over oranges and onion slices tossing to coat. Cover and chill AT LEAST two hours, or until the next day. To serve, arrange butter lettuce leaves on serving platter. Lift oranges and onion rings from dressing and arrange on lettuce. Pass around marinade to spoon over servings. Makes 6-8 servings.

Changing My Life........again!
I havent blogged for a long time been so up to my ears in the day to day shit that has consumed my life here as "manager" of this establishment i call home. I love this place...being by the salt water...the people...tenants and guests and the neighborhood and ambience of this navy town. What i dont love is my tyrannical, crazy, cokehead boss. This past week was telling for me. I woke up Monday not wanting to go to work...and I didnt. I called in sick. For the past year I've worked 60 hrs a week and been only paid for 40. I get a free room at the inn to share with my 17 year old son and cat. No privacy. Then I spend countless hours on my only day off...Sunday..showing this man's empty and available apartment houses. All for $10/hr...net $321.47 a week. I am verbally abused on a regular basis..(You fucking piece of shit this, fucking bitch that), accused of stealing his money/property or whatever it is that week he feels he can threaten me with. Pineapple Stuffed Avocados
Pineapple Stuffed Avocados 1/4 cup each: mayonnaise and sour cream 3 T. finely chopped fresh mint or 2 T. dry mint 2 t. sugar 1/4 t. Tabasco 2 T. lemon juice 3 large avocados 3 small bananas 1/4 cup chopped celery 1 cup fresh or canned pineapple chunks mint sprigs combine mayonnaise, sour cream, mint, sugar, Tabasco, and 1/2 T. lemon juice; blend well, cover and chill. Cut avocados in half lengthwise and remove pit; sprinkle evenly with remaining 1 1/2 T. lemon juice to prevent discoloration. Thinly slice bananas and mix with celery and pineapple chunks. (March, 30 2008) This is an expanded version of a comment I left on a MUMM about why people lose and gain faith in God and will write more about it soon. For many people, God or Christ is a concept for in which we measure pain. For others it is a a way to find guidance to the mystery of why they are here and what they "should" be doing in their lives. For some, it becomes a way to learn love and compassion, while others it becomes a trap of old views that date back to medieval times that have hardly evolved with scientific and historic discoveries. Religions actually keep us from understanding our true nature, the nature of the universe and of each other. For example, lets look at the reason for Atonement. Thai Pineapple Pork Salad
Thai Pineapple Pork Salad Butter Lettuce Leaves 1 medium size Pineapple, cored, peeled and cut into 4 rounds. 1 pound extra lean ground pork 1 small onion finely chopped Lime Dressing (Directions Follow) 6 T. Finely chopped roasted peanuts 4-8 pickled red cherries or sweet cherry peppers sprigs of fresh cilantro or mint Line 4 individual salad plates with lettuce leaves. Lay a pineapple slice on each plate; cover and chill. In a large frying pan, cook pork over medium heat, stirring to break up, until it losens it's pinkness (about 5 minutes). Add onions and cook, stirring until limp. Skim off and discard any fat. Prepare lime dressing, add to meat, and cook, stirring, until boiling and slightly thickened (about 30 seconds). It's amazing what a difference a day can make... I turned 35 yesterday, not a major milestone but still another year gone. It makes me think back on how much has happened in the last year. Update On Me
Ok, so as some of you know I had to have surgery on March 26, 2008. I had been having problems with my foot and had tried everything, so my doc suggested surgery. Well I am doing better. For the first few days I was highly medicated and pretty Dopey! I am stll in some pain, but it seems to be slowly improving.
