I'm not sure where this is going exactly. My cousin just came home from Iraq and we caught up for a little while today. In the course of our conversation, I did ask him how he felt about the on-going conflict. He said something I thought I should share with you all because whichever political persuasion you have, I think his perspective is one we should hear. It is a statement about the present state of our political system and how it fails on both sides to listen to the troops. Some of you might be curious to know. Saturday morning my cousin Ryan was killed in Baghdad. He had called home the weekend before and said something was not right that he knew that it was just to much. First two of his sergeants were killed. He died in gun fire combat. I prayed that he was not scared but I know that he was. I have been crying for so long that my eyeball sockets hurt. I am asking that everyone please pray for the family for strength and for peace. May god now take your soul and rid you of the pain that is living on earth.

Who Knows?
is love real, or just a facade that someone uses because they feel obligated to you about something? Way too many questions, so little answers and feelings of contentment. Pineapple Marinated Pork Chops Recipe
Cook these pineapple pork chops in slow cooker, on the grill, or broil them. INGREDIENTS: * 6 pork chops * 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks with juice * 1/4 cup brown sugar * 2 teaspoons soy sauce PREPARATION: Put pork chops in a plastic storage bag; mix remaining ingredients; pour over pork chops in bag. Herb Baked Pork Chops With Rice
INGREDIENTS: * 4 thick center cut pork chops * ground marjoram * dried leaf thyme * salt and pepper, to taste * 1/2 cup uncooked rice * 1 (10.5 ounces) can condensed beef broth, undiluted * 1/2 bell pepper, sliced * 1/2 tomato, sliced * 1/2 medium onion, sliced PREPARATION: Sprinkle pork chops with marjoram, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste. Place rice in a large casserole dish. Top with pork chops and cover with the beef broth. Layer vegetables over pork and cover with lid or foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serves 4.

Dazed And Confused New Me
I sit in my room alone but for the snoring boy on my bed and think about all that has happened to me lately. I've changed so much sometimes I feel like I don't even know me anymore. Do I like who I'm becoming? I'm not sure. Am I happy with the "new" me? Again I'm not sure. I'm not as shy as I use to be. Confused

2 Choices
Alright, I'm not actively seeking romance, however should it find me I've two choices... Older man who loves me but who has money and his kids are grown and moved away and doesn't want anymore? She Cries

I was not looking for you, how can you be looking for something that you have thought was not there to find. Something that just thinking about can bring a smile to your face, with a word can can open your mind, and with a tear can unlock your heart. The One
There is something about her; I try to find the meaning in what effect she has on me, to no avail. My thoughts are filled of her, my dreams are fulfilled by her. Just knowing she is out there, waiting and going about her day, makes me smile. You ask who she is, for that you would have to know her as I know her. Urinally Speaking
I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying: "Hi, how are you?" I'm not the type to start a conversation in the men's restrooms at a rest stop but, I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin Just Fine!" And the other guy says: "So what are you up to?" What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh I'm like you, just traveling east!" At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question. Can I come over to your place after while? My Weekend..
I just got back home from my grandma's about an hour ago. I had fun. We had lasagna, garlic bread, and salad for dinner. it was delicious. We played a few games of dice and watched tv and went riding around on the golf cart on some tracks in the grass. Later on that night, we sat by the fire and roasted hot dogs and made smores, and listened to some Patsy Cline. Once we got done making smores, I got kinda lonely when the music was playing. I was missing Eric so much. I ended up going to bed that night at 10. and I woke up this morning at 9 or 9:30. I slept so good. I actually just talked to Eric. He called me from a pay phone. He said they just left the studio about a half hour ago. So they should be home in about 2 hours at the latest. I can't wait to see him. I miss him so much. Stents
Last month, iwent under the scalpel to have stents placed in my arteries, i had 4 blockages in them which icannot remember where lol i know therewere 2 ;large and 2 small they were fixed tho and stents to open and such the blocked arteries around my heart, at first i was scared stiff, sweating like a hot dog on a grill! but everyone assured me it would come out alright and it did or i wouldnt be here now lol. i thank god that iam back to my old self tho many foods i had to cut back on, no frozen chicken which took most my freezer lol, and a whole lot of other things too low salt and low fat diets came next. right now iam doin great and feel even better just wish the doctors would stop callin me in lol (just kiddin) :P

Bannock Recipe
Ok, so I was bored today so I looked up this recipe. It claims to be the Webs best. I seldom follow the real recipe though so I changed it up a little bit. Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups of flour. whole wheat if you have 6 tsp Baking powder. 1/2 tsp Salt 2 Tsp Sugar. I added brown sugar 2 eggs. (Optional) I added 1 1 cup of water. I added milk. There are a few methods for cooking these, but I'll cook it my way or no way at all lol. take a large pan and put some olive oil at the bottom and heat to medium low, spread a little dry flower on it. Vent your aggressions and mix all the ingredients into a mixing bowl (small pot in my case) form into pancake sized portions and place in the pan. Be careful, the real recipe calls for water so it'll brown the dough mixture more quickly. Just keep the heat low so that the middle cooks well. then cut into bread stick sized slices and dip with butter or honey. Should take about 12 mins per batch. This recipe made 5 for me.

well lets see...where to start...i had posted a mumm a few weeks ago about my hair. my sister has told me many times that my hair was too light for my skin tone so i decided that i would color it...well guess what...it turned gray....AHHHHH..then i thought well maybe if i go get it cut, it will take away the stuff that is really gray....well damn it...now its too short and it was still gray...so i bought another box of hair color..tried to color it again...now its on the blackish gray side and looks worse now than it did to begin with. 9/9/07 Astrology And Update On Me
Astrology:: It's a good time for you to think about the most important people in your life - and maybe to rearrange some priorities so that they get as much of you as they deserve. It shouldn't take a major overhaul. Wow its been a crazy couple of weeks for me, I got moved out of my place and got all my stuff packed up. I've been to court twice and still have a little more paper work i have to finish but the judge did give me full custody of my daughter WOOO HOOOO!!! In the meantime i came back to montana to spend the weekend with my daughter... well i'm glad i came home because my daughter had a massive seizure and we spent 4 days at the hospital with her, yes she is okay now but we found out she has epilepsy. Sucks because now she has to be on medication to help control the seizures and we dont even know if she will have more. So currently i'm in montana on family medical leave til i can get moved up here permanetly which means i gotta get the rest of the court stuff done.

Potato Salad Italian Style
3 lbs. small red potatoes Salt and pepper 1 Tbsp. vinegar 1/4 cup fresh basil 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard 1/4 cup fresh parsley 3 cloves garlic 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese 3 egg yolks 1/4 cup pine nuts 1 1/2 cups olive or canola oil Cook potatoes in salted water until just tender (about 20 minutes). Drain and cool. In blender, mix vinegar (cider or white wine), mustard and minced garlic until smooth, then add yolks and blend again. Slowly add oil, with blender running. When thickened, season with salt and freshly ground pepper, chopped basil (or 1 tablespoon dried) and parsley (stemmed and chopped). Blend until smooth. Add freshly grated Parmesan; blend well. Depending on size of potatoes, halve or quarter them. In bowl, fold mayonnaise into potatoes. Lightly toast piñones (pine nuts, or slivered almonds) and sprinkle over salad. NOTE: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Or try tarragon instead of basil and decorate with chives.

Moving Day!!
Finally moving out of this hell hole of a place on Friday i am so excited. I started working finally again at a cleaning company and i love it. I have only been working for a month and i am dropping my second check friday on my security deposit. The place is huge about 1200 sq ft and it is beautiful. Curried Pasta-vegetable Salad
Serves 4 1 1/2 cups fresh corkscrew pasta in three colors, boiled for a few minutes, drained, freshened under cold water and drained again (to stop cooking process) 1/2 cup frozen peas 1/4 cup shredded carrots 2 tbs golden raisins 1 cup shredded cabbage 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup sliced celery 1/2 cup sliced almonds DRESSING: 1 cup nonfat mayonnaise1 tsp (or to taste) curry powder 3 tb Balsamic vinegar salt and pepper to taste 1 tb Dijon mustard 1 small minced shallot or garlic clove Fresh cilantrillo or parsley for garnish. Fresh shredded Parmesan to taste (offered to guests, for their optional selection) Combine the pasta, peas, carrots, raisins, shredded cabbage, finely chopped onion, celery and sliced almonds in a salad bowl. Whisk the dressing ingredients in a bowl. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour to blend flavors. When ready to serve, garnish with the cilantrillo and pass the Parmesan.

3 avocados, seeded and peeled 1 tablespoon onion, minced 1 teaspoon chili powder 2 drops Tabasco Sauce 1 teaspoon salt 4 medium tomatoes 8 lettuce leaves Peel tomato and cut off top. Makes 4 servings. 1/2 cup bottled fat-free honey-Dijon salad dressing 1 teaspoon finely shredded lime peel 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 2 to 3 teaspoons Jamaican Jerk Seasoning (recipe follows) 2 teaspoons cooking oil 1 (16-ounce) package torn mixed salad greens 16 refrigerated mango slices in light syrup, drained For dressing, stir together salad dressing and lime peel. Rinse chicken; pat dry. Sprinkle chicken with Jamaican Jerk Seasoning. In skillet, cook chicken in hot oil over medium-hot heat about 6 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Thinly bias-slice each chicken breast. Divide salad greens among 4 dinner plates. Arrange warm chicken and mangoes on top of greens; drizzle with dressing. New Orleans Style Barbecued Shrimp
This is always a big hit at casual dinner partys. I spread out newspaper for the tablecloth, use lots of oversized napkins (since this is a hands-on experience!) and serve lots of cold New Orleans beer. I also serve hot steamed rice for those that want their shrimp on top. I usually make two desserts--bread pudding and banana pudding, along with chicory coffee. Corn & Crabmeat Soup
Ingredients: * 1 stick butter * 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup * 1 condensed milk * 1 pt. half and half * 1 tea. liquid crab boil * 1 can of whole corn * 1 white or claw crabmeat * (you may also add other seafood, i.e. boiled shrimp, oysters or crawfish tails) Cooking Instructions 1. Cut green onions (using a sisscors is quickest). 2. Melt 1 stick of butter in a large pot and add the cut onions - sautee. 3. Add all other ingredients. 4. Simmer for about 20 minutes and enjoy. 5. You may choose to leave out the crab boil if your seafood was previously boiled in seasoning; however, I don't suggest leaving it out of par-boiled seafood hence you miss out on the true flavor intended.

Honey Island Jambalaya
* 2 lbs Italian/green onion sausage (crumbled)-- Saute in large pan. * 3 packs frozen chopped seasoning (bellpepper, onion, celery)-- Brown the above together and skim off any excess grease. * Season to taste with garlic powder, "Tony Chacherie" or other full-bodied seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. * Add 1-2 cans Ro-Tel Tomatoes. * Add chicken broth or stock to cover (about 3" above seasoning/meat mixture). * Cover and simmer a few minutes. * Add 1-3 cups of any meat or shell fish as desired....shrimp, crawfish, turkey, chicken, etc. * Cover and simmer some more! * Add 2-4 cups of rice (Uncle Ben's works great!), depending on how large your pot is. * Cover and cook on "hi" for 15 minutes or so; then turn down and cool, stirring occasionally until tender!

Baby Food
I have this rule, that whenever Aidan starts a new food, I have to try it. It's only fair, because some of it is really disgusting. The rice cereal was horrible, and that was the first food. The sweet potatoes, applesauce, pears and carrots were good. Today he ate green beans for the first time. I waited awhile on the green vegies. But the green beans weren't that bad, and he seemed to like them. He loves to eat. He really appreciates food, probably because most of it is new to him.

Weekly Update 9 Sept 07
Well this week was not as exciting as last week was. We started a new type of force protection at the op we are at. Well not reall new a new type just putting more responsibility on the iraq army to do more in there country. Well i did lots of foot patrols throughout the city of hor a bash looking for insurgent. got a few tips from the elder of the city about the school being blown up with explosives.. what is a foot patroll going to do when the school goes up in explosives hmmm my question also. but ne ways we kicked in several doors and made friends with several people thriughout the town. the kids are always asking for pens pencils n chocolate. we give what we have on us at the time but thre are always more kids then writing utensils we have. The last week was a rest week besides all the patrolls we did we just relaxed when we could.Also i was told i was going to the promotions board soooooon. So thats all for now.

Why bother having emotions or feelings, well at least why bother sharing them. I swear they are nothing but a pain in the ass. A gumbo recipe for the crockpot. Started off in SC, finishing up paper work with the new company then heading to the airport to start the trip. Sunday, Bloody Sunday
