Work Sucks
Well, I am sitting here at work after a long drive here from someone special's house. I am bored out of my mind. This weekend has been a blur plus very clear--does that make sense? Drugs should be legalized and sold in government run Drug stores. We could sell them for a lower price than drug dealers and still turn a profit. The profits could be used to finance drug rehab centers and to increase tax revenues. Because we would be undercutting the drug dealers, smuggling would no longer be profitable. Time For A Change In Luck
Seriously. Every time I turn around or blink, something is making everything worse. First, work forced me to move almost 1000 miles away from my wife and they told me moving her would have to wait. I Got A New Ride!!!
Well, many of you may have read my mumm and voted, which I thank you, so you know that I was in need of a new vehicle. Well, I did it. I went to the place where I work and I got the Durango. Now, the only thing we have to decide is what to name it. It is tradition for me that what ever vehicle I get, I have to name it. My frist car was called silver streaker. The second and a red and white 1985 Dodge Ram 50 Special nick named to names. One was "The Candy Cane" and the other was "The Shaggy Wagon" It wasn't that becuase of the sex I had in the back ot it....I had none. To Trust Or Not To Trust ??
I've been thinking a lot along the lines of TRUST and what it means to me. Why is it that some people think it is perfectly OK to DEMAND your trust? Why is it that when you hesitate to share something in or about yourself that you want/need to remain cautious about, it is seen as insulting to some because they feel ( many times correctly so) that you do not trust them? I suspect that they feel rejected, in a sense - but I'm not so sure I understand their reasoning, especially when their taking offense tells me volumes about their trustworthiness! Why do some people think that , even if something they do causes distrust, that you are still supposed to trust them by sheer virtue of the mantle of friendship? The way I see it, being cautious has little to do with trust because trust is something that comes with time, and familiarity. I am wondering how much of yourself do you give away when you forgive someone? Does relinquishing your anger and hurt for that person take away from the totality of yourself? Or rather, does the retention of such feelings erode away at the core of a person until they finally feel as if they have nothing left, because they have been angry for so long? If I forgive people for "tresspasses against me" do I give up a peice of myself that I needed, or just something that was added that is much healthier for me NOT to have access to? What deserves finite atonement and what is impossible to rectify? Who makes that decision? The transgressor, the the victim, or a third party arbitrator? Moving Into The Next Week :)
This past summer has been difficult in that my place of employment where I had been getting 40+ hrs a week, suddenly took it upon themselves to cut back all relief's, like myself, hours to less than 32 hrs a week. While I was at a point in my life prior to this where I was getting comfortable with all my bills etc., it has gotten to the point of robbing Peter to pay Paul so to speak this summer just to make ends flow on through and I had been afraid to do much in order to expend money that I might need for something else. Different Weekend
So here it is another Saturday night. Gosh, time is going so fast. I finished my first month of my new job, and things are going well. I'm still quite thrilled with it. My 18 year old babelious daughter moved out today. She had planned to move out before, but some things needed to be worked out. It's not a surprise, nor was it done in anger or anything like that. On Friday, September 13, 1996 the successful rapper and actor Tupac Shakur died at a Las Vegas hospital. Tupac died of gunshot wounds. He was shot on the night of Saturday, September 7 after watching a boxing main event match between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon. After the fight, he went 4 miles north to his friend and Death Row Records producer Marrion "Suge" Knight's house. When he arrived, the two headed to go to a nightclub in a black BMW. Good News And Tragedy
Well the good news is that my son is finally completely better and that the danger he was in has passed, he has miraculously come through everything stronger for it and is a very happpy and healthy almost three year old and my fears that I will loose my remaining child have been laid to rest. I lightens my heart to know that we all came through this only slightly scathed by the experience and that perhaps I can get back into the swing of life again where health is concerned. On the flip side, my nearest and dearest friend who I have known for half my life was killed in a fire on Sept. 1st and I am just now getting to the point where I can talk to my friends again. She was known here on Fubar as Darkest Descent and her two beautiful daughters are soon to be officially part of my family per her will. Southwest Chicken Quesadillas
For a delicious and quick meal try this recipe for Southwest style chicken quesadillas. Ingredients CRISCO® No-Stick Cooking Spray 1 C. cooked chicken, finely shredded 1/2 C. tomato salsa, plus additional for serving 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 Tbs. mayonnaise 2 tsp. chili powder 8 (8 inch) flour tortillas 1 1/2 C. Jalapeno Jack or Monterey Jack cheese, shredded 8 sprigs fresh cilantro, minced Sour cream Directions Heat oven to 450 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Spray with CRISCO® No-Stick Cooking Spray. In a medium mixing bowl, combine chicken, salsa, salt, pepper, mayonnaise, chili powder and minced cilantro. Arrange 4 tortillas on baking sheet. Top with chicken mixture. Top with remaining 4 tortillas; press closed gently. Bake 5 minutes. Remove baking sheets from oven. Carefully turn quesadillas with spatula. Return to oven; bake 5 minutes more, or until browned. Let stand 2 minutes. Cut each in quarters. Serve

Ingredients 8 (8") flour tortillas 1-1/2 C. tomato juice 1 env. taco seasoning mix 1 Tbs. vegetable oil 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 can (16 oz.) refried beans 3 C. shredded cheddar, divided 1 small avocado 1 Tbs. lemon juice 1-1/2 C. shredded lettuce 1 C. chopped tomato Directions Wrap tortillas securely in aluminum foil; bake at 350Âº F. for 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Combine tomato juice, seasoning mix and oil; stir well, and set aside. Cook ground beef in a large skillet until browned, stirring to crumble; drain. Stir in beans and 1/2 C. tomato juice mixture. Lemon Babka
This zesty cake has lovely flavor and is light and fluffy. Babka is a traditional Polish cake. Ingredients 2 1/4 C. bread flour 2 1/4 C. all-purpose flour 4 tsp. active dry yeast 10 Tbs. sugar 1 tsp. sea salt 1/2 lb. unsalted butter, softened 1 tsp. lemon extract 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 tsp. grated lemon zest 3 whole large eggs 1 C. Half & Half (heated to about 110 degrees) Powdered sugar for dusting Directions Thoroughly combine the flours and yeast in a medium-sized mixing bowl, and then set aside. To mix the dough in a heavy-duty mixer, place the sugar, salt, butter, lemon and vanilla extracts and grated zest in the mixer bowl, attach the paddle and mix on low speed for 1 minute to blend the ingredients. Add the eggs, one by one, until they are absorbed, then add the half and half and mix briefly. Now slowly add all of the flour until the dough forms a mass around the paddle. Turn the machine off, remove the paddle and replace with the dough hook. Knead t

Angel Hair Goulash
This hearty beef, corn, and tomato stew is a snap to throw together. Ingredients 1 lb. lean ground beef 2 Tbs. margarine or butter 1 (4.8 oz.) pkg. PASTA RONI Angel Hair Pasta with Herbs 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes; undrained 1 C. frozen or canned corn; drained Directions In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef. Remove from skillet; drain. Set aside. In same skillet, bring 1 1/2 C. water and margarine to a boil. Stir in pasta; cook 1 minute or just until pasta softens slightly. Stir in special seasonings, tomatoes, corn and beef; return to a boil. Reduce heat to medium. Gently boil uncovered, 4 to 5 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring frequently. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Serves 4.

This Eastern European dish is a traditional stew and is often served with rye bread. Sauerkraut, pork, ham and sausage make it a filling dish with lots of meat. Ingredients 1 C. chopped bacon 1 lb. boneless pork, cut into small cubes 3 cloves garlic, minced 3 onions, quartered 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, quartered 2 C. beef stock 2 Tbs. sugar 2 bay leaves 2 C. sauerkraut, drained 3 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks 2 C. canned tomatoes, with juice, diced 1 C. diced cooked ham 1 1/2 C. polish sausage, cut into chunks Salt and pepper to taste Potatoes, peeled, quartered and boiled to serve on the side or you can add them to the stew 20 minutes before end of cooking time Directions Fry bacon in a Dutch oven. Remove bacon and remove all but 2 Tbs. fat. Add pork, garlic, onions and mushrooms and sauté until meat is browned, about 5 minutes. A close friend was feeling philosophical the other day and asked me a question, one that we have all heard at one time or another: Is the glass half empty or half full. He didn't just come right out and ask this question though. He actually employed a visual aid in the form of a drinking glass filled 50% to capacity with tap water. Once he asked me whether I thought the glass was half full or half empty, I instinctively started to respond with my answer. He immediately waved me off with a disgusted look and demanded that I take my time and search deep within myself for my true thoughts and feelings regarding my outlook on the positive and negative aspects of life and how I respond to them. Out of respect for our friendship, and his apparent seriousness, I complied. I actually went so far as to take the glass in my hands, holding it to eye level, to gaze at the water inside while I searched for the truth within myself. Guilty Pleasures
Read this, but tell no one! lol In no particular order: 1) Soap Operas: specifically The Young and the Restless 2) AM Gold type music and Disco 3) Playing online games and video games - if I get to the movie theater early and there is a game room -- I'm there. 4) Fubar - I hate the person who sent me the invite. I burn so many hours in here. 5) Reading "bodice rippers". You know, cheap, grocery story romance novels. 6) Reality TV marathons on MTV or VH1. I generally dislike reality tv. I remember watching the first seasons of Survivor and Big Brother and I'm tapped out. But on a weekend when I'm doing laundry or just being lazy and I catch it on tv, I'll watch it. 7) Seeing OU (Oklahoma University) lose. Okay, not so guilty, but it is sheer pleasure. 8) MMA fights - when the reality show (yeah, I know) about IFL fights came on Spike I started watching it. I totally dig it!! A Better Life
well now, the wheels have been set in motion. and maybe I will finally be free from the lowlife asshole I was married to for 14 years. I have discovered that since he has been gone my credit score has come up, my bills are paid on time, I have money left between paychecks, I can smile and laugh again,and I can be me the way I want to be me. I guess I want to thank those two individuals who brought on this wonderful change in my life and I hope they will appreciate all the changes that I am about to make to their lives. I am basically a good person but when you get pushed too far thee is no turning back. My life, my better life is about to begin and I can only pray for these lost souls who are to ignorant to know their time has come.

I was sitting alone in one of those loud, casual steak houses that you find all over the country. You know the type -- a bucket of peanuts on every table, shells littering the floor, and a bunch of perky college kids racing around with longneck beers and sizzling platters. Time For A Change
They are offering a 2nd shift and the hours are kinda crazy 7pm-3:30 or 4am...I will take it to get away from a fukkin complete fukkwad...that they tell me to run my department better when I do I get reprimanded...well I say good bye to days and off to the night life that i have always loved so much.....oh yeah not to mention my grandmother has decided not to sell her house and not to go to senior housing and I am greatful...so my mother and I decided that we are going to make a huge garden in her back yard...today Britt and I pulled a tree out of the original garden...back breaking work but it will be worth it in the end...

I'm the youngest of three. I have 2 older brothers. (don't be scared of that my bros could care less -- it's my dad you should worry about!!)The age difference between me and the oldes boy is 6 years. The age difference between me and the second oldest is 4 years. Because of the age difference I felt like an only child during my teenage years. My brothers and I aren't close at all. The very picture of the American Dream -- dysfunction. My family seems weird to those who have close families, but it's normal to me. If I ever have a family, I plan on not using my own family as a template.
