My older sister Melissa was there n was pregnant on the train when it happened n I thank god he spared them n saved them. My cousins worked in building one but thank god made it to work late n as they were going in the buildings were collapsing so they saved sum ppl n made it out but were injured. This Week.
So..still no insurance check for a car, yet they want me to give the rental back. I don't think so. And I'm not paying for it. What if I gave the rental back and the check got lost in the mail or they never really sent it? Would they like to pay for my lost wages? Don't think so...it'd cost them more per day than a rental car does. I've found the car I want, I'm just waiting on their stupid asses to send me my goddamn check! Not MY fault they sent it by regular mail and not certified. I UPS'd my title to them, could they not extend the same courtesy for a check worth thousands of dollars? Bastards. So let's see...work's ok, life's ok, I'm surviving. Looking for a job within the company elsewhere though...still. Had a lunch date yesterday, it went very well. :) I refuse to do a bunch of happy posting because every time I do that, I come back a few days later with how said date screwed me over in some way. So we'll just leave this one alone...but, very nice guy, very nice time.

Back To The Cardiologist.....update
Well I had the appointment today...well I have to wear the monitor for 30 days, October 11th will be the last day. I tried my damndest not to have to wear it, but they said they need to monitor my heart crucialily...They did an EKG today...not so good, I have an arrhythmia, its beating at times too fast in the lower area of my heart its called Ventricular Tachycardia... so they are making me wear the monitor, to get the information on how fast its beating or how many beats per minute it beats, so they can more tell how to treat it. Its a lethal disruption of a normal heartbeat, it basically keeps the heart from pumping blood normally throughout the body. It can be caused by low potassium, which is what they seem to think the problem might be so they are thinking that they can maybe treat it by upping my potassium...they may not even have to treat it, or they may put me on medicines used to treat it...the last and only way they would be able to treat it is to do surgery and put in a pac

Flavorful chicken with rice, orange peel and juice, and ginger. INGREDIENTS: * 1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted * 1 cup chicken broth * 1 cup instant rice * 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste * 2 tablespoons butter or margarine * 2 whole frying chickens * 2 tablespoons grated orange rind * 1/4 cup orange juice * 1/2 cup light corn syrup * 1/4 teaspoon ginger * salt, to taste PREPARATION: Combine mushroom soup, broth, rice, salt and butter or margarine in a saucepan; cover and cook according to rice directions. Fill cavities of halved fryers with rice mixture; place fryers, breast side up, in an 8 x 11-inch.Place remaining rice mixture around the chicken. A baked chicken recipe with marmalade and orange biscuits. INGREDIENTS: * 1/2 cup sifted flour * 1 teaspoon salt * 1/4 teaspoon pepper * 1 frying chicken, about 3 to 4 pounds, cut up * 1/2 cup shortening * 2/3 cup marmalade, divided * 6 biscuits * 2 cups biscuit mix * 2 teaspoons grated orange rind * 2/3 cup orange juice PREPARATION: Combine flour, salt and pepper; dredge chicken parts in flour mixture. Melt shortening in a heavy skillet; brown chicken pieces; cover and cook over low heat until chicken is tender. hey everyone, we've been hard at work trying to improve some of the older/jankier portions of fubar. this afternoon i'll be replacing the old photo management page with a new version which lets you update captions/flags/delete/etc for all of your photos at once, instead of doing them one at a time. included in this change will be the ability to share your albums with friends who aren't fubar.com members. they'll be able to browse your albums and photos without having to login or join the site (this only applies to your public albums/photos). you'll be able to find these changes on your photos page once i've turned it on. cheers! -mike

What A Day
Whoever thought that going to the oral surgeon and having a tooth pulled under local anesthesia could be considered a good part of the day... well, that was my day today.. of course, the doctor was a little delayed, but he did get the job done.. I made my follow up appointment, and started driving home.. but kept getting hotter and hotter, even with the windows down.. I realized I wasn't gonna make it all the way, so I started to pull over to the shoulder so I could close my eyes for a moment (or however long was needed...) Next thing I knew.. I hear a few "ka-thunks" and open my eyes.. to see myself much further off the shoulder than I'd planned on being.. must have passed out for a moment, but still somehow finished hitting the brakes. I got out of the car, and saw an upside down stoplight warning sign leaning against my car.. needless to say.. "uh oh" and "Oh F*ck* went through my mind... Weekend...what A Disater
well we took my 8 year old camping and canoeing this past weekend and let me tell you what an event that was. An hour into our excursion, i lost my glasses somewhere in Blackwather. I haven't been able to see since saturday and I can't get into the doctors until tomorrow. today is 9-11 the worse day i think america has ever seen. the lost we had on this day will never be forgotten. yet out of the memories of that day. being home alone wondering are my kids going to be ok. will a plane hit here. wnere is my husband. i have a memory of a little girl being born. she was born as the 1st tower went down. her dad watching the most beautiful little girl be born. then to here the doctor say not that it's a girl, but oh my god the tower is falling. that little girl is a remender to me that with every bad thing that happens in our life there is always good. to me that was the day Americus Paige was born. our circle of friends will never forget what was happening on 9-11-2001 because with so much pain and lost. we had something to look forward to. and as the next year rolled a around and we started think about her birthday and the lost of so many. there was another birth and a set of twins was born to the same parents.9-11-2002

Tuesday Ramblings
When was the last time I bothered to blog? Kind of a blah rainy/drizzly day, kind of like my mood. Though I did smile when I saw the salutes from Ruby and Persia lol. Leaving soon to go to the open house at my son's school. Won't be a pkeasant night since I am pissed at the ex lol. Why do they have to be evil? She has screwed with the weekends for the next 3 weeks, 2 of which were mine with David. So that is what got me in the bad mood. Been making lots of calls to find sales brokers to free up our time for programming. Trouble is my partner hates salespeople. I have found one that I think meets our needs, but its pretty expensive. One thing I have found.. if you hire a salesperson because you can afford them, its a waste. You hire because they fit your needs. One that you can afford might just hurt you.. A LOT. Sometimes I wonder what I am doing on here still. I know I only talk to a few people now. But I don't know what I would do without them. :)

Any Suggestions

Connecticut Accent?
So, every once in a while I've been told that I have an accent of sorts... which I've never fully understood since I was born and raised in Connecticut. But then I decided to actually read up on it. I was curious since it just seems so weird to hear someone tell me that. I just assumed that we tend to talk properly (depending on what part of the state you're in) but I ended up reading this article about CT being influenced by NY and Mass. Which makes a lot of sense because Ct is right between them. But at the same time we have different inflections from that of our neighbors. I usually don't like to post social commentaries and what not but today I will make an exception. No matter what you believe, today 6 years ago America lost a lot of innocent lives and a series of horrific scenes followed. Clarification
Ok this is to bring people up to speed since some don't know the whole story and had a few people ask if I'm mad at them. Basically april I met someone named Kim in NC who had offered me a place to stay while I moved out of my place in AZ. Things were fine we got along great she even sent me like $300 to get my car all fixed up so it would make the drive, turns out the car was still a POS but that's a whole nother story. Somber News.
My grandfather died this morning. Don't worry I'm ok, I don't need to be consoled or anything. He has been fighting cancer for 12 years and was doing quite well until an accident in April which somehow brought the cancer out of remission. Since then he rather rapidly declined in health. He stay in good spirits throughout it all even keeping he trademarked sense of humor right until the very end. He died this morning, September 11th, 2007 at 8:45 am at the age of 85. He had recently celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary with my grandmother. I just wanted to write it somewhere, Let people know what's going on. That is what this thing is for after all.

Well here we are another sept 11. The most fatal day in history of my profession. I am uncertain though if a more devasting incident should happen that kills more will 9-11 be just another day over shadowed by another senseless tragedy? I remember it clearly . I was at my Subway store getting my crew ready for the day.My mother calls and says, "Go get your tv in your apartment, you have to see this!" I litterally ran out of the store, got in my car and when I got back, turned on the tv, the second plane was crashing into the twin tower!!!! We left the tv on all day and buisness dwindled as we were located close to an old military air base, all the federal buildings, and many merchants. My owner called in at 1305 and said how's lunch going? I said weve had four customers since 11oo. He said ya'll go home and be with your families. I left my shop and went to church where almost the whole town was. Everyone was praying and scared for our nation . So today, I wake and remember two explosions, two buildings, many lives, 3 planes, and wonder, is it over? I remember where I was on this day 6 years. I was working for a moving company. I remember looking up in the sky seeing no planes at all. One of my Ninjutsu instructors had just moved to New York City just a couple of months before, he was on a ferry heading toward the island, and got stuck somewhere else for a couple days. Later that week I went to Ohio to train with An-Shu Stephen K. Hayes. I remember exactly what I did that day. I was still a college student at that time. That morning I was watching my friends two children. We had just finished breakfast when my friend called and asked me if I had turned the tv on. I hadn't but as I did that is when the report of the second plane hitting the other tower. I just remember being in disbelief all day long. I went to my night class that night only for the professor to say now that we are here and with what has happened today I wish everyone a safe trip home and we will meet again next time. Wow, Sept 11th already. This day holds some mixed emotions for me. I lost several people close to me due to this great tragedy. A handful of my friends, ex-marines, police, and firefighters, were in a car driving to New York literally within 45 minutes of the first tower falling. Well for those of you who know me you know I have been taking classes to become a Real Estate Agent. Both 60hr and 30hr have been completed and passed and I have been taking my time scheduling my State exam...well it is now scheduled for next Wed. My 9/11 Posting
Forgive me today if I don't post a picture of the twin towers... I was going to, and to write a little something in regards to what happened... but I can't.... while I still feel for the families, and I still mourn the events of that day, I still remember just where I was and how I felt I have a difficult time still focusing on that. I Don't Get It
Why is it that if you're a nice person and try to do the right thing nobody likes you? You can be honest and genuine and people don't think you're worth their time. The room is crowded and silent. Everyone is holding their breath, waiting, hoping. The only sound is the rustling of tickets being turned about in a giant basket. The Day That Changed The World
In rememberance of the lives lost in the Tragedy of September 11, 2001 I dedicated my page to all affected.... I had been working at the Dealership about 14 years at the time..I was Clean and sober almost a year, in the program of recovery and just so happened to be 3 months pregnant when my partner came in and grabbed me from my desk to watch what was happening a few miles away from us. Ofcourse the initial shock and horror watching plane 2 hit the Trade center jolted me into tears. My family lives in Chicago and not knowing where the next target was, I was concerned for my brothers and sisters who worked in the financial district next to the Sears tower in Chicago..my phone rang and it was my Father. My dad, Doc S., is hard of hearing and hates the phone. He called because he needed to tell me he loved me. Tears again. He let me know he was unable to reach my siblings but was sure all 4 of them were fine. During the day my father called me at work 7 times. When I got home from

Well, I'm finally done moving....Settled in with my baby and living our life together. I tell ya what though, it's a bit difficult to move an entire house worth of furniture using nothing but a Ford Explorer, HOWEVER, it can be done!! Remembering September 11th
Bombs dropped on our town, and two beautiful buildings came down. All the people started to frown. You can hear them all through the night. I huddle in a corner frozen with fright. The lights have gone out; it's a power cut. I cover my ears, and my eyes are held shut. I hear the sirens; I hear a crash. I hear more people crying in a bash. I feel for mother; I cry her name. I am sorry that I have not been on lately and I hate to bring more sadness to a day that is already filled with bad memories, but I have not been on much due to the fact that my wife had surgery in July to remove a tumor from her spine and is now wheelchair bound due to paralysis. It has been a job taking care of her, due to the fact that our house is not handicap accessible. I will try to keep in touch as much as I can. Where Were You When 9-11 Happened
Where were you on 9-11-01? I was on the bus going into college that morning (seeing the 2nd plane going in) and walking 10 blocks to my college only to find my lounge area looking like a triage zone. This was going to be day from hell. I tried to help those who needed it. And I tried to get some guy who was there who worked the food area to get some assistance for me. My friend grabbed me by the arm and pulled me into a room where the TV was. This room could fit 30 people tops, that day we were 100 or more watching the towers crumble. I knew the day was going to get worse. That day from where my college is located (Central Park) to where the Brooklyn Bridge is (a couple blocks away from City Hall) and over the bridge. Non stop. Was a hike and a 1/2. No cell service, nothing.
