Mother's First Biopsy
Well my mother just recently went in for her first biopsy on a lump the doctor found in her right breast. It was about the size of a quarter. It was an out patient procedure where they numbed the area and stuck a needle half the size around as a pencil in and removed the tissue for testing. When the doctor took the first sample, a large portion was removed so when he began to take another sample he removed the rest of the mass. The doctor believes that he got all the mass and now we are waiting to hear on the sample. Hopefully it is benign and not malignant at all. If it is malignant then my mother will have to have chemotherapy. When they do a biopsy they also put a metal marker in the area of the mass to mark where there was a mass. If another mass shows up later in the same spot then it is very likely the mass was not all removed, if a mass forms in another area then it has probably spread or there is another cluster of cancer starting.

I've been a mother for almost 5 years and have learn very interesting things about myself through my children and what kind of creatures they really are..funny little people I may add. I have a daughter name Ayla that will be 5 5/24 ..she is a DIVA oh my god! If its not dora crap its this princess kick. I was a tomboy growing up and still am.. I wrote this yesterday... Today is the day the most mother's spend with their children. But with my current situation, my child is still 2500+ miles away from me. But I was just sitting here thinking. I did get to see 3 of my kids today. So I shouldn't be that upset, but of course, it doesn't compare to my baby boy. Last year, on Mother's Day, I got to hold, hug, and kiss my baby boy. This year, he's so far away, but I did get to spend part of the day with another little boy that now has my heart in a bind. In honor of Mother's Day and my mother, I am posting this story I wrote about my mother some years ago. It was published in a book similar to "Chicken Soup for the Soul". Thank you Mom! Well, my Mother's Day was decent. The boys were so cute. Giving me hand made gifts and a flower that their church gave them to give to their Mothers. I had 3 hand made cards, a hand made flower (out of tissue paper), a hand made place mat, and a piece of coal. The boys were trying their hardest to take care of me. It was cute seeing my youngest trying to walk on my crutches that are about twice as big as he is. But they kept coming over and kissing the top of my foot because "kisses make it better". However, I was a little sad yesterday too. As some of you know, I have really big issues with my father. He hasn't told me he loves me in almost 10 years. The last time I saw him, about 3 weeks ago, he did nothing but scream at me because I could "just do more". He doesn't get that it's hard to do things when you have two jobs and two boys that require a lot of my attention. I just don't have any lately. I don't sleep at night because my stinking ankle hurting. I'm lucky if I sleep for an hour without getting up because it hurts. I need sleep. Well.. I've again fallen behind on my cinematic reviews. But to recap my late summer viewings, I enjoyed "Captain America" and "Cowboys and Aliens" more than I expected, more than what others should've anticipated. I joined the growing chorus of individuals who see "Captain America" as the best comic book film adaptation this year, not some gaudy, action-bloated romp. Plus it provides a fun link (along with the end credits trailer) to next year's release of "The Avengers." "Cowboys and Aliens," meanwhile was a thrilling adaptation of the graphic novel -- a risky hybrid that understandably could turn off a variety of Western fans and sci-fi geeks. But the movie somehow works. It's disappointing yet not shocking it didn't get bigger box office returns. "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," too, was better than I had hoped but it also stopped short of epic. Was by far the worst concert I went to. Not due to the performers of course. I had a series of disappointing events that took place that night. MOTLEY CRUE Mick Mars After his family relocated from Indiana to California, Deal dropped out of high school and began playing guitar in a series of unsuccessful blues based rock bands throughout the seventies, taking on menial day jobs to make ends meet. Well, my weekend was a total bust. My birthday party was fun, but there were a few glitches. For instance, 2 of the sponsors never showed. This was one hell of a night. My friend Heather and her daughter came over and we took a cab to the Metro Centre. we got down there and those damn cabs are so small that i almost fell and didn't make it in my chair. We saw a bunch of picketers who were anti Motley Crue because of the Devil stuff that the band associates it songs with. We had to wait in line they opened the doors at 5:30 and we had to check our bags for weapons and other things. They would not allow cameras in there which sucked. So soon as we got there i saw my friend Shelly , who is in my SCI support group, up at the souvenir stand. Well, I survived Thursday night's class.. today was the riding portion, then class work this afternoon... I have the clutch control all worked out, but my problem is my hands are too weak to keep working the clutch, and I'm afraid to go fast.. LOL... Motorcycle Classes?
So, I'm thinking about taking some motorcycle classes at my college to get 16 more credits towards my electives and I can gain a cert from it too. I'd take all 4 motorcycle repair classes and get a motorcycle repair cert plus 16 credits towards graduation. My worry? I know I'm going to be one of either few girls in the classes or the ONLY chick in the classes. That freaks me out because I know some guys have huge egos and dont believe girls should even BE in classes like that. And look at me... I'm petite as hell and I look weak, but I'm not. So, that right there throws the stupid stereotpe in my face. Argh. I just know I'd have to prove myself. And I hate having to prove to people that I can do something. I WANT to learn to work on my own bike and this is one way I can do that plus gain a cert from it. I dont know what to do. I'm intimidated.

If your going to go for a ride go with the nicest bike he's the one who is least likely to crash and kill you. If he has a nice bike he's probably been ridding a while. Motorcycle Cops
A motorcycle officer stops a man for running a red light. The guy is a real jerk, and comes running back to the motorcycle officer demanding to know why he is being harassed by the Gestapo. So, the officer calmly tells him of his red light violation. The motorist instantly goes on a tirade, questioning the officer's ancestry, sexual orientation, etc., in rather explicit terms. The officer, being a professional, takes it all in stride, and continues writing. The tirade goes on, with the cop saying nothing. When he finishes writing the citation, he puts A.H. in the lower right corner of the narrative portion of the citation. He then hands it to the violator for his signature. Angrily, the guy signs the citation, tearing the paper and, when presented with his copy, points to the A.H. and demands to know its meaning. Motorcycle Accident 1987
Ok I was on my way home from work. I worked in Huntington Beach and lived in Long Beach at the time. I was headed up Valley View from the beach and I was almost to the 405 (San Diego freeway). The traffic was pretty heavy (as it always is in the afternoons in Southern California), so I split traffic. (If you aren't sure what this is, it's where people ride their motorcycles between the lanes of stopped/slow traffic. It's a common practice in So Cal.) The facts of the accident I had to get from eyewitness accounts and from the police accident report. I still have no recollection of the actual accident. I was splitting traffic and someone abruptly changed lanes into me, forcing me to rear end a station wagon that was going about 45 or 50 miles per hour slower than me, causing me to come to a rather sudden and abrupt stop. ( I often refer to this as the part where I "wore" a station wagon.) The next thing I remember, is someone pulling the shattered remains of my helme

Even though the MUMM started out about something completely different, it ended up taking a turn about how sportbikes are death traps waiting to happen, and I completely disagree. This is my posted reply to the MUMM... "A motorcycle is only as safe as the person riding it. You could be riding a 2-horsepower Vespa, but if you ride it like an idiot, you'll get killed just a quick as you would riding a Ducati sportbike. Conversely, if you exercise sound judgment and some discipline, and are willing to learn, you could ride that Ducati sportbike every day for the next 20 years and never have an accident. It's 90% rider behavior and 10% everything else that makes for a safe or dangerous ride. Like a car, a motorcycle is just a vehicle under your control and subject to the laws of physics. Motocross Pictures (and New Folder) Added
Today I had the good fortune of a referral I made to a friend being accepted. Since I immediately had space for 10 more pictures I decided to add a new folder for my passion of Motocross. A while back...in 2004 I worked with a professional motocross team that was created to support newly turned pro rider Cody Gilmore. My job was basically gopher. Whatever the team needed...I went for it! lol I helped with advertising, contracting team sponsorships, answered the phone in the suspension shop and basically helped where-ever I could. Well..I got to be pretty good friends with Cody Gilmore and we've kept in touch since then. Cody has 2 amatuer national championships before he turned pro. Cody raced a few of the outdoor national races in 2004 and then we hit the areancross circuit hard and heavy. He wound up finishing 15th in the nation and got the AMA Rookie of the Year award. Yes you all knew this one was coming. If you go through my pics, you will see my 2007 Harly Davidson Fatboy. This bike is perfect. Every time I see dust or spiderwebs or anything else on it I either clean it then or go crazy until I get a chance to clean it. It is so bad that if I walk into my garage and see dust on the front finder (even if I know I cant ride for a while) I will clean the entire bike. Spend several hours cleaning the bike just to do it again tomorrow if dust settles over night. This is a little obsessive I know but leave your thoughts.

Motorcycle Maintenance Evening
"Motorcycle Maintenance Evening" February's second associate training evening was given over to a motorcycle maintenance class, presented by special guest speaker, Nick Davies of "Nick's Hot Wheels and Tuning Laboratory" of Corby. The session began with an introduction covering the basic construction of the motorcycle including frame construction, suspension, steering geometry and engines. Routine maintenance was next, including checking tyre pressures, chain tension and lubrication, brake adjustments, oil level, battery electrolyte and lighting checks. The points were illustrated using Nick's own excellently-preserved vintage Honda. Motorcyclist Killed After She Collides With Horse
HIWASSEE, Ga. -- A 48-year-old motorcyclist is dead after she collided with a horse on Georgia highway 75 near the state's northern border. Towns County coroner Rickey Mathis said Beth Bennick of Buford was pronounced dead at the scene of Sunday's wreck. Mathis said the horse was also killed on impact. John was in a VERY Motorcycle Wreck on Sat, we were all Riding in Sturgis. A lady messing with her Radio Crossed the CenterLine and Hit John Head-on. John was thrown over the car and was not Breathing, he was revived and airlifted to the hospital, they said he died 2-3 times in the Air. He broke his Neck,Back,Arm,Ribs and Legs. He has Brain Damage and they think he will not have Use below his Waist. He went in to Renal Failure last night, has a lot of Preasure on his Brain. UPDATE We have Decided to take him off Life Support, he would never want to live this Way. He is holding his Own right Now, but the next 48 Hours are going to be tough. Docs have releived the Preasure to a safe point on his Brain UPDATED 8/8/08 John went Down Hill Yesterday, but we still have hope, Preasure is Building up on his brain. UPDATE JOHN PASSED AWAY LAST NIGHT, Doc said there was just to much damage for him to over come. he was the BEST little brother I could have had.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Norman Whitfield, who co-wrote a string of Motown classics including "War" and "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," has died. He was 67. A spokeswoman at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center says Whitfield died there Tuesday. He suffered from complications of diabetes and had recently emerged from a coma, The Detroit Free Press reported. Whitfield was a longtime Motown producer who during the 1960s and '70s injected rock and psychedelic touches into the label's soul music. Many of his biggest hits were co-written with Barrett Strong, with whom he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004. When climbing on the back of a Harley I feel the sudden calmness come over me. On a cool Spring morning I walk out of the house layered and ready to go. Levi's Check. Long Sleeve Shirt Check. T-Shirt check, Black Leather Chaps and Vest Check. Oh and of course since I live in California a Helmet Check. Now I climb on the back of the Harley headed for I nice ride down the river road. Leaving Woodland heading to anywhere. The destination doean't really matter because the ride relaxes me to the point of complete comfort. I close my eyes and feel the cool breeze against my face. The feeling of someone else in total control so I can let my mind wonder anywhere it might wish. Opening my eyes after what feels like just a few minutes to find that we have already gone a hundred miles. Maybe doozing of while on the back of a motorcycle is not the safest place the sleep. But for me it ranks up there in the top 5 of most relaxing places to be.

Why is it that people never look twice before pulling out into traffic. A great man and great father was killed on Jan 4th 2009 all because some 18yr old didn't look twice and didn't slow down for a stop sign. This man was the best father I have met,he leaves behind three beautiful girls and one very handsome 14month old little boy. I have know this man in good times and a few bad times but the thing I will always remember about him is that no matter what was going on in his life if you needed him he would be there for you and his loved ones. I only knew him for less then a year but he has touched my life and my heart in ways I can not describe. I will miss his laugh and his smile. We all will, we all love him and miss him. Step 1: Connect your external media Step 2: open your computer, browse to your macrium image, and double click it. Step 3: PLace a checkmark in the box next to the drive you want to mount and work with, accept the default drive letter, check enable access to restricted folders, and you can choose to make it writeable. click ok, Step 4: you will see the macrium image apper as a drive in My Computer. at this point you can work with the data inside the image. Where to begin....well let's start with this past week..I found out my sister had to put her puppy down, because she was having too many seizures.....Bonnie was only 3 1/2 years old...Then i found out, that my mom's bird Rosey dropped dead on tuesday....And today as I went out to get something from my car, my lil Tucker (sneaky as he is) darted outside once i opened the door, and imediately started running....That when the worst happend....A car hit Tucker, killing him instantly....I was in shock, I really didn't know what to do....The owner of the car stopped as soon as he realised he had hit my kitten, got out, grabbed an old shirt from his car and wrapped up tucker with it...Now being a man, who usually doesn't show alot of emotion, I couldn't help but shed a few tears.. With great sadness, I announce the passing of my dear Grandmother, Marilyn, on November 14th at 12:30am at the young age of 65. After suffering kidney failure, a stroke and a blood infection, she joined the creator leaving behind many who loved her dearly. She was "Ma" to all who knew her. Due to the fact that she treated everyone like family. She was one of the most important people in my life. After my own mother abandoned me when I was a baby my gram took me in and raised me as her own. She raised all 8 of her children, then took in 6 of her grandchildren after her children were grown. She was a wonderful woman, and will be missed greatly. I love her with all of my heart, she was the backbone of our entire family.
