A man in his 40s died while jogging along Chicago's lakefront this afternoon, police said. The Worst Prison Is A Closed Heart
When we close our heart we enter a dark prison cell where our own bars of fear and unworthiness keep us from fully experiencing ourselves as well as others. My First Blog!
So this is my very first fu-blog ladies and gentlemen! I think I am going to try and start posting blogs every few days and ramble on about my silly life. Sometimes these blogs can be therapeutic so thats what I am hoping for. Just to get you up to speed I've been going through quite a bit this past year. Now I'm not whining and complaining, I know everyone has their problems. I just want to talk about it, to get it off my chest for a few minutes ya know? So here goes... In January I lost my dad, he was my best friend. One of the hardest things I've been through yet. I seperated from my husband in June, after finding out his entire family is completly horrible to him, I honestly believe they are going to keep going until they kill him. I've had 3 major surgeries so far, which have not been fun... I was diagnosed with Stage one Chronic Kidney Disease, PCOS, Bertolottis syndrome (which is a spinal birth defect, will explain more later) my cardiologist tells me I am very boarder line CHF,

Christmas Candy Canes
3 cup sugar 1 tsp peppermint flavoring 1/2 cup water 3/4 cup light corn syrup 3/4 tsp red vegetable coloring 1/4 tsp cream of tartar 1. Combine the sugar, water, syrup, and cream of tartar and heat until the sugar's dissolved. 2.Divide into two saucepans, boil, but don't stir, until each lot is 280 degrees F. Add 1/2-tsp peppermint to each lot and add the coloring to only one. Place on an enamel or marble table to cool. (As a general rule, oil the table first). 3. Like taffy, you stretch and pull and form into ropes of red and white. Then twist them around again and again, forming them into your candy canes. Allow to harden and enjoy!

Chicken Pot Pie
Serves 8 1 9-inch double-crust pie crust 2 cups mixed vegetables, chopped 2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, boiled 1 (10.75oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup 1 (10.75oz) can condensed cream of potato soup 1 tsp dried thyme 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a 9-inch pie dish with pastry. 2. Lightly steam mixed vegetables and drain. 3. Dice chicken and place in a large bowl. Add vegetables, thyme, cream of chicken soup and cream of potato soup. Stir together. 4. Pour filling into pastry lined pie dish. Arrange top layer of pie crust, seal and flute the edges. Cut slits in the top of the crust to allow for steam to escape. 5. Place pie on cookie sheet. Put aluminum foil around the pie crust edges. Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes. My Job
Well it's Christmas time once again in retail. I really enjoy working in toys. I love the department and the people that come in and shop. I even enjoy putting the product on the shelf. This time of year just means I get more of a work out as I put the product on the shelf. Trust me it's a work out too. I walk from the pallet to the shelf and back again. End Of The Season
Hi My fellow yankee fans, Well it was a hell of a run this year and I know that you all were waiting to hear how I felt on the team after this weekend. I think this was by far one of the toughest seasons in our history and the only times tougher was the 80's. We had huge injuries that everyone thought we were done once two of our 100 rbi guys went down. We had our young guns come in and fill that void. This is going to be a two-parter, as I'll need at least that to try and express all of my thoughts on the subject. Let me start by stating that, as it says in my profile, I'm a Correctional Officer. I work in a prison here in Kentucky. It's a job I've held for over 6 1/2 years. In that time, I've worked about every posting there is at the Institution I'm at. I've only been at this Institution, so my opinions will be relative to only one of the prisons in Kentucky. When we think of ourselves, most of us refer to ourselves as Correctional Officers, our proper job title. In the media, we're known as "prison guards" or just "guards". Please note the lack of capital letters. That's the view that the public is given of our job: one step up from a guard at a mall. There's nothing wrong with being a guard at a mall, but it's a long way from what we deal with on a daily basis. I've been a guard before. I miss it sometimes. My baby (Cystic Fibrosis SUX@ LostCherry) has been sick for the last 4 weeks he was on IV antibiotics here at home for 3 of those, well he wasnt and hasent gotten any better. The past couple of days has been really hard on him and he has been having lots of trouble breathing and has started coughing up blood, which he hasent done in the 5 years that we have been together. Well needless to say I took him to the emergency room and they admitted him today. Losing A Loved One
Just wanyted to share with you guys how i lost my brother unfortunately he was killed in 1987 hit by a car by chasing a girl which seems crazy but was 16 hormones going i suppose, i had just come to stay the weekend with my family from the coast then that night my heart just stopped we all went to the hospital but unfortunately he died my first reaction was NO screaming then the shock set in was one of the worst days of my life as earlier we were talking about how he would come up & visit we were very close. For years i have tried to get on with life & have but to this day still think of how he would be today in his middle 30,s children maybe married but that is all gone. Just to think of what he would look like etc only till a few years ago could go to his grave for years could see him lying there freaked me out the whole thing seemed like a nightmare but now can go without bursting into tears. Getting Started With A New Attitude!

Everyday I wake up there is something missing in my soul. A part of me that has never be complete. I live a lonely life. One full of non-emotions, I just go through this life as if I am living in a dream. Is it reality or am I just existing until this part of me is found, is complete. Standing outside feeling the cool breeze of autumn brush through my hair, I can almost feel something there or someone. For a brief, so very brief moment, I feel a sense of what I am missing. But just as fast as that breeze blows in and twirls through my hair, that feelings passes, leaving me feeling more empty than I was before. What is it to be truely loved by someone? What is it to have that soulmate that so many talk about? Is that the piece of the missing I feel? Can this life really rob me from that, or was it my own doing? My cause was reawakened this morning when I watched Do The Right Thing by Spike Lee and when the qoutes by Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were being shown one of the qoutes said "violence is meaningless unless it's self defense but if it's self defense then it's not violence" I guess what this qoute means is that we try to justify the violence that goes on everyday and that we need to understand the consequences of our violent actions cause only through learning from them can we make a difference but I'm not sayin that you can't be mad but understand and reflect on what caused you to be mad and solve in a peaceful and only use violence if necessary and forget about this moronic thing called racism and unite with one another and fight for the cause remember these by Public Enemy "fight the power". Keep ya head
