My Dad
My dad (the guy on the left, with my brother Steve) is seventy today. I've known him all my life, during which time he has remained married to my mum (not pictured). For a lot of his life, he worked in insurance, but has also worked for the Church, and remains active since his retirement a few years back. On the day this photo was taken, it was my brother Steve's birthday, and my dad made him these concrete mushrooms. He then proceeded to drink too much red wine, and fell asleep in the shed. A lot of my sense of humour comes from my Dad, and also my love for country music. He makes me laugh, lends me money, and gives me advice about cars and houses and shit. I love that old man. LET'S HEAR IT FOR MY DAD!!

Would like to talk a bit about judging other people. My 2 rules are #1. Basically be a good person. #2. Don't cause harm to any one. If you follow those 2 rules I don't give a damn what ya do. To Set The Record Straight
So I have realised that Fubar ain't the place for me. Before I delete my account I feel I have to set the record straight on a few things that have been said about me. Apparently a few people decided to stick their noses into my business and put dirt on my name. I have no idea why they would do this....jealousy I guess. So with that I will get to the point. Why I Am The Way I Am
Someone once told me that I have no idea how they felt. They were suffering from an injury to their coccyx and sacrum, and were suffering, I'm sure, very badly. But it pissed me off that they just assume I have no idea. And I've heard that a lot on here. Or people act like what I go through isn't a big deal. My mother took me to the doctor who said I had slight scoliosis. I had to sleep on the floor until the flare-ups subsided. No studies or x-rays were ever done until my 20's. I then developed torticollis at 15 from carrying a heavy 50lb backpack around. Torticollis is when your neck spasms and makes it so you can't turn your head and it ends up being in an awkward position. I was watching the late news last night, and, of course, the top story was the death of new anchor Walter Cronkite. He had retired from being the regular newsman before I was old enough to remember, but is such a legend that his passing is definetely notable. On the same news cast, they pointed out that McDonalds is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the Happy Meal. This struck me for a couple of reasons. First of all, I myself had my 30th birthday last year September (coming up on 31 in a couple of months). That means that I don't remember a time there were not Happy Meals. I have a lot of fond memories of the fun had with Happy Meals (both the toys and the boxes they came in! LOL!), and the clips they aired with that story brought back some of those happy memories. OK,, first let me start out by saying for the last 16 month I have been under the weather.. I hurt my shoulder at work and eventually had to have surgery on it . That took from April 2008 to may 2009 I finally got released from the doctor on that.. just to go to work and get a severe sinus infection and had to go to doctor to get antibiotics for it.. and after that was over 2 wks later came down with inner ear infection,, and got antibiotics for that.. after that I was doing good for 3 wks and came down with a kidney infection in which I have had since June 28th.. lol after 5 rounds of diffferent antibiotics and no success I had to sleep on sofa so I could sleep sitting up because that is the most comfortable way for me to sleep so I had not slept with my husband for 3 wks on the 13th of July.. Problem Solved.
So I made a MuMM asking if I should call in to work so I can get the extra day to rest. Looks like I don't have to do that. My boss, the one that I say is psycho, just called me and told me that since she knew I was sick yesterday and her brother left a note saying to send someone home at noon, I don't have to come in today. As much as I can't stand her sometimes, I'm starting to think that she's really not all that bad. The last thing she told me was that she hoped I felt better. Now my yountest is sick and I have to take him to the doctor. Everyone here is getting sick. I don't know what's going around, but I hope it goes away soon! I really want to be able to see John this weekend. On top of everyone getting sick, we are suppose to be getting snow. They said by the end of the weekend, we'll have close to 6 inches. Ugh.

Small Update
Just a real quick small update. I got notification that they had changed my medical insurance on Saturday so I can get the much needed counseling I have been after in the first place. Yeah to that! With this new medical insurance, its a step torwards ssi, they have a facilitator call me, and we do the paperwork together, whats nice is I will have the state behind me. I have been taking lyrica for 2 weeks now, The all over body pain has lessened, yet its still there. The colder the mornings are, the older I feel :( Its pretty bad to feel 90 when I am only 39. Now the fatigue is kicking my ass. Even though I go to bed, I generally cant fall asleep till between 12-2 am. Then I am always up by 8. During the day I feel extremely drained. So many times I tell myself I need a caffiene shot or IV. Alright thats all for now, just sending an update.

Mother's First Biopsy
Well my mother just recently went in for her first biopsy on a lump the doctor found in her right breast. It was about the size of a quarter. It was an out patient procedure where they numbed the area and stuck a needle half the size around as a pencil in and removed the tissue for testing. When the doctor took the first sample, a large portion was removed so when he began to take another sample he removed the rest of the mass. The doctor believes that he got all the mass and now we are waiting to hear on the sample. Hopefully it is benign and not malignant at all. If it is malignant then my mother will have to have chemotherapy. When they do a biopsy they also put a metal marker in the area of the mass to mark where there was a mass. If another mass shows up later in the same spot then it is very likely the mass was not all removed, if a mass forms in another area then it has probably spread or there is another cluster of cancer starting.

A Movie "review"
This really isn't much of a review as it is me just saying that I liked a movie. Shutter Island was really good. I seen it Friday night, the theater was packed!!! Anyway, the twist in the plot was good. Some people say they seen it coming, but I didn't. The ending was kind of weird and will make you think. Like I was telling a friend of mine...if my thought on how it ended is wrong, I like my thought. It makes it much better than either of the other 2 options. That is all.
