Boring Life Stuffs
So tonight hubby and I and friends went to the Ravinia Festival, which is an outdoor event where you sit in lawn chairs in a field while someone is performing on stage. Tonight it was Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing Beethoven, and all over sudden an enormous nostalgia swept over me. I have been playing in a symphony orchestra for over 10 years, and had to quit just recently because of my work schedule. I miss performing downtown in a beautiful Navy Pier Ballroom, traveling to other countries with the orch, and reading orch music in general. This was amplified by my conductor asking me recently to come back and be a principal of second violins for his orchestra at NEIU and me turning it down. So I was in CT this weekend at the USA Dart Classic. The majority of the top shooters in the US were there. That of course means I got my ass kicked pretty bad. I can play darts very well. Update
The Pain Clinic called, and set up my spinal injections for the 24th. Which is great, but my followup to see if the injections worked is the 26th. I've been put on the waiting list, so if there is a cancellation, they will call me. I've told my boss that if they call, I'm going, and I'll let him know. Wow! Whut a way to start a weekend! :( Well first of all my 92 yr old NaNa passed away a few hrs ago. She had a mild stroke several days ago and has been in the hospital since. RIP NaNa Ballock i'll miss u lots! As if thats not enuff...i have been tryin to reach my father for the past few days to see how things are with NaNa but never got a answer or a call returned. Which is NOT like my father at all...we are VERY close. Well after my aunt called and told me NaNa passed away...she then tells me my dad is in ICU and has been there for 2 days now. On the way to the hospital to see my NaNa my dad and step mother where forced off the road by a 18 wheeler hit the guard rail and the car flipped several times...ejecting my father from the drivers seat (YES he had on a seat belt) my step mother has a broken arm, and is very bruised but my dad got the worst of it. Whut complicates things even worse is my father is a veitnam veteran and during his tour there he got cancer from agent oran

Holidays..
So, it has been brought to my attention that there are only 69 more days until Christmas. Woo f'ing hoo. Bah humbug. Leaving
So I have decided to leave Fubar for awhile which includes Flirtations. Of course I am getting lots of messages asking why. Some believe this is out of nowhere and an impulse decision. It really isn't. It has been building for awhile I just don't really vent on people that much except for little things. So why leave? I have several reasons. For those of you who know me well already, and know what I have had going on in my personal life, there is now a bit of improvement! Things went very well with the procedure for my Granny. Within hours of them completing the procedure, just due to the increased circulation, her cheeks were rosy & pink, her skin was more warm, and she was looking better. My Medical Update - April 21
I have this tumor on my neck and need a operation asap before I choke to death - I already have nearly lost use of my voice. The surgen wanted the primary doc to do a test on my heart because 20 years ago I went to a heart doctor who told me that I had survived a major heart attack and was one of the lucky 10 percent to do so. Half my heart does not work and is concidered dead and cannot be repaired via medical surgery. To get tumor removed I must get approval and my primary doc said no surgen would operate on me because the ekg tests show that my heart is not pumping blood smoothy. She arranged an appointment for me to go see a heart doctor (again) for more testing. Meanwhile the clock is ticking. The testing alone delay things for perhaps another month. Without the operation to remove or drain the tumor ( aka mass ) on my neck is needed also to get the contents tested to see if I do or not not have cancer. I so thought my 22 month old daughter swallowed a magnet that was about 2 inches long and about an inch in diameter! Rushed her to the ER and no magnet. So almost three hours in the ER with three kids ready to rampage around in the hospital--AND NO MAGNET! But that's a good thing, so no complaints.

Burr Oak Update
Tthe Cook County Sheriff's Department unveiled a searchable Web site for families who have loved ones buried at Alsip's Burr Oak Cemetery. Unfortunately the site isn't working too well. NBC 5 reporters tried using the site a few hours after it launched and the system crashed. Sheriff Tom Dart says while there is a partial database of 10,000 names. It should be complete in next couple of weeks. “It’s our hope that this website can help calm the fears of many of those worried about their family gravesites,” Sheriff Thomas J. Dart said in a statement. “Being able to easily search by name, then finding a picture of the headstone as it looks now, will answer a lot of questions for a lot of people.” 100,000 have been intered at Burr Oak since it opened in 1929. When the new site, www.burroak.net, is bug free, users will be able to search a complete list of headstones in the cemetery.
