I watched a Bollywood movie today called Saawariya. I normally don't enjoy subtitles or musicals, this has both, but I loved this film. It's a little too long, 2:11 minutes, but is simply beautiful. I reccommend it to anyone that loved the wrong person. based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's short story "White Nights" which is one of my favorite stories. New Doctor And Revelation!
I ended up getting a sooner appointment due to a cancellation, and that appointment was yesterday. I brought in all my medical documentation and medications, and sat down with the new gastro. specialist. He asked me to explain my issues, starting from the beginning. Alright, this a vent blog, as I need to get something off my chest. I have been in 'longer than a year' waiting period for my medical review board with the miltary. I got an e-mail today with an update of where things are...keep in mind, during Fall, I was told they were just overloaded with cases, so it was just moving slow. Here is part of the e-mail I got from the liason of my Guard medical clinic, as she is just the messanger in this. "When I contacted the case manager she was under the impression that your case had already been to the board. Please understand that she is a one person shop and has to review all cases for our region. Your case had not been to the board yet and when she asked the board where it was in the process, they could not locate the record. Apparently it was in a file waiting for determination and they passed it over. Long story short, it has not met the board and now the information is out of date. WHY do people--men or women--walk into your life as friends, endear themselves to you till you start to care for them probably more than you should until you start to act like a teenager with your first boyfriend or girlfriend, and then for some unknown reason basically turn their back on you as if you never existed? My Lawsuit For My Son
Ok well here is the deal my son got injuried back in November from jumping off a recliner. Well from that issue once I turned around to see what had happen that he was having a hard time getting up so I helped him up well I figured that he was ok and went on and let him play some well from observing him I noticed he wasnt using one of his arms. I took him to the ER at the nearest hospital and basically told them what was going on which was that he wasnt using his one arm. Well the person on in the ER wasnt really a doctor but was a nurse practitioner in which looked him over briefly and said due to his past health problems they didnt want to do any x-rays or anything. So, the other day I have a few hours without any kids. It was last saturday, I didnt know what to do with my time. Tired
Overall I am tired of being tired. I have had a cold/allergy/upper respitory thing that has really brought my energy down. Energy drinks are truly one of my best friends right along with meds. Finally today I seem to be seeing an improvement. My roommate made me some ginger coke (coke and ginger boiled on the stove,weird I know but it helps) last night. Home made Kahlua 1 1/2 0z Dry Instant coffee (3/4 Cup) Note: vanilla coffee gives it a yummy different flavor. 2 1/4 cup boiling water Combine ingredients in one medium size saucepan listed above and let cool. Second medium size saucepan 6 cups sugar (I usually use the white sugar and the cheap store brand) 4 cups of water Mix water and sugar together and boil for five minutes then let cool. Once everything is cooled you can then combine all the above ingredients in a deep kettle and add either a fifth of 100 proof Vodka or a fifth of 190 proof pure grain. Add 1/4 Vanilla extract or pure vanilla can add more if you prefer a stronger taste. It is better to use very good pure vanilla in your recipe. Chicken Ala King
1/4 c. butter 1/3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. chicken broth 1 c. milk 2 c. chicken, diced 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms 1/4 c. pimento, chopped 1 (16 oz.) bag frozen peas In a saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter (or substitute chicken fat). Blend in 1/3 cup flour in 1/2 teaspoon salt. Add 1 cup chicken broth and 1 cup milk all at once. Cook, (stir constantly until sauce is thick and bubbly). Add 2 cups diced and cooked chicken, drained mushrooms and chopped pimento. Stir in above ingredients and add cooked peas. Heat thoroughly and serve over noodles or toast. Enjoy.

The Latest Change In "title"
(and there have been a few) was inspired by a few people referred to in an earlier blog ... who haven't done anything since, nor anyone like them really... but it does, to make one's position clear on the front page, not hidden away in the blogging. I use that as my title on MySpace also, or something like it. Good weekend so far. Need to test a disc I made this morning as a backup of one I bought, since the backup seems not to be working. Golden Gate Bridge--- On Wednesday three buses of European tourists had come to Golden gate bridge complex. Tourists are always coming to the bridge and creating lot of confusion and din. But European tourists were quite disciplined and they observed everything silently and with dignity. Since I have become a citizen of San Francisco, I helped them understand many things and short brief of history of Golden gate. It was so much fun. Went out with my Sis, Mel, and my nieces and nephews. I know that sounds funny, but they are all over the age of 21. No guys i am only 30. LOL We all went to this sports bar. Crispy Cauliflower With Olives, Capers And Parsley
Preparation Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 20 minutes Serves: 2 Ingredients 2 Tbsps. Kalamata or black olives, finely chopped 1 tsp. capers, drained and finely chopped 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar 3 Tbsps. olive oil 4 cups cauliflower floretscooked 1 Tbsp. flat leaf or regular parsley, chopped Instructions Combine first 3 ingredients and 2 Tbs. oil in a bowl. My refrigerator is sorta' empty, today. I went to fix something for my lunch, and there's nothing to fix, except for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Don't get me wrong, I do love a PB and J. Last Night...........yesssssssss!!!
OK so last night huby and I had tickets to The Christmas on Ice and we went. SO on Christmas Day watch and you will see us. We sat in the front row and cameras were on us ALOT!!!! Choclate Dipped Strawberrys
1 pint fresh strawberries, washed and patted dry, stems intact, and thoroughly air-dried 8 ounces good-quality bittersweet chocolate, broken into chunks 1 tablespoon solid white vegetable shortening 1 ounce Grand Marnier liquor or fruited brandy Instructions: Prepare ahead: Wrap pieces of styrofoam in plastic wrap for fruit to rest and drip on. You can also use any firm-fleshed fruit, such as cantelope or orange halves. Pour about 1 inch of water into bottom of a double-boiler and heat to hot but not simmering. Melt chocolate and shortening in top of double-boiler, stirring occasionally until completely melted and smooth. Remove top pot and place on a heat-safe tripod. Let cool for about 5 minutes. While chocolate cools a bit, carefully spear strawberries with toothpicks. Working quickly, swirl each strawberry gently in the chocolate about halfway up the fruit and place inverted on toothpicks into the styrofoam to cool and harden. Ingredients: 1 pound lean ground beef 1/2 cup cooked rice 2 Tbsp finely minced onion 1 tsp salt 1 tsp chili powder 1/4 cup bread crumbs 1 egg 1/2 medium onion, sliced into strips 2 medium carrots, cut in half lengthwise then sliced into half-moon shapes 1 stalk celery, sliced 1/2 small zucchini, sliced into strips 6 cups low-sodium Beef Stock or beef bouillon 1 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro Instructions: Combine the beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, chili powder, bread crumbs, and egg. Mix well. Shape into 1-inch meatballs; set aside. Bring all the remaining ingredients except the cilantro to a boil in a large pot. Add the meatballs when the stock begins to boil. My Special Day~graduation~
I am having a tough time sleeping because I am about to receive my Associates Degree of Arts & Sciences from college today. Despite the obstacles of non-support from family members, and someone who I thought would stand by me, I am getting this degree with the love & support of my kids and friends from NYC. Life And Death
I found out today, during my lunch break at work...that my Godfather, a man who was a huge part of my life growing up...passed away yesterday of a heartattack and stroke. It was so difficult to go back to work and listen to people complaining about their banking issues...sighs. But, then I walked outside and saw such a beautiful sky before me. I stared and stared, not moving. I stood there looking like a moron, because I couldn't get over how beautiful this place can really be. I hope that while I am here, I remember to look at the Earth's beauty, the beauty in others...as much as I possibly can. He lived to be 84 years old...a long, wonderfully happy, active life (the man was mowing his own lawn for crying out loud). I hope that when I pass on, someone can say the same of me.
