God spoke to me one day and said “take a walk with me,”
“There is a truly wonderful and beautiful person I want you to see.”
As we walked he told me so many great and wondrous things,
About love, honesty and trust and the joy it brings.
After all this he showed me a woman, who was just so beautiful,
Who was strong, independent and God fearing, who knew?
He said, “She has a few cuts, bruises and scrapes on her heart,”
“And through all the damage there is still light shining through the dark.”
He told me she had hopes, dreams and aspirations in life,
He also said, “Any man with you would be proud to call you their wife.”
He told me you were compassionate, caring and full of love,
Why wouldn’t you be a child of God sent from up above.
So I turned and asked God, “Why have you shown me this,”
I just couldn’t understand why but here is the real twist.
God said, “I promised you forgiveness for all your sins,”
“I’ve been there for every loss and gave you every win.”
“I’ve held you close when no one else wanted or was there,”
“I’ve held every burden and heavy load that you couldn’t bear.”
“Now I give you one thing you prayed and asked for so much,”
“The woman you have always dreamed of with the softest touch.”
“She would treat you the way only a real woman could,”
“She would love you as only a woman I created should.”
I thought it was a dream as I wiped my teary and heavy eyes,
“I even give you a woman that is honest and never lies.”
I closed my eyes because I couldn’t believe it was true,
When I opened them the woman God meant for me, was you.
