Court Trial

LOL, Just letting everyone know that I just found out this weekend that I'm going to be a grandmother! I'm pretty excited about it. Leg Update # Something
I had to go to the surgeon this morning. Blahhhhh. More test. More needles. More pain. However, after he conferred with one of the previous doctors I've seen, and they compared testing results, they have come to the conclusion that there is obviously still some ink in the tissue around the bone in that area that has got to be removed.....somehow. The actual plans were to remove some more tissue and then try another skin graft. But after finding that there is still ink in the area, which is still doing damage to my tissue and nerves because I am so highly allergic to it, those plans have been halted. Troubles With Warranties
The other day when I was doing and update on my computer and doing a restart caused my fan to go poof. I called Staples were I bought it and was told that if I had a warranty (thank god I have a 3 year extended) I could bring it in and they would repair it free of charge. Well, I thought that was great and then was informed that it would take approximately 10 business days to have it sent out and fixed. Now, tell me folks, how many of you could live without your computer for that long, that is 14 days with the weekends included. So I called my local repair shop, who I might add are awesome people and they told me that for about 40.00 I could get the fan replaced and the computer cleaned of all dust and debris. Well it was a heavy decision as whether to take it there and void the warranty but my friends and family members here on Fubar one out. My computer will be ready to be picked up tomorrow morning. With that being said, I will be back as of sometime tomorrow...woooooooo hooo

Hair, Again
I realized the other night that it drives me crazy. I just get in the way of a lot of things. I want so badly to cut it off and be done with it, but I can't cuz I want to be able to donate a whole bunch next year for my 10 year anniversary of surviving ovarain cancer. (Go me). It is pretty long now, and I just feel there is nothing cool that I can do with it other then putting it up in a pony tail or a bun and be done with it. i listened to the voters on my mumm last night and did NOT go to denny's. My New Baby Girl!!
So I had my second daughter September 10th. She is so beautiful. We named her Haley Marie. My other daughter which is 4 1/2 loves her so much. She can't wait til she can play and all. Im actually excited having two girls. Don't have to buy new toys or clothes..LOL Im done having kids though. I had to have another c section so very painful again so im done. My first one was worse bec I was in labor for 14 hours then had to have a c section. Im enjoying life though now and happy with the way everything is going. Im still not talking to my oldest sister and I have tried but she doesn't care. Thats fine with me. She wants to be like this then I don't have to help her clean her apt anymore or hear all the problems she has. I guess she is talking about divorce again which doesn't surprise me but im not believing it until she actually does it. Now that I don't really talk to her anymore my life has been less stressful. Changes
Here lately I have been going through a lot of issues. Some of them have worked themselfs out and looking back I have to laugh at how trivial they were. The Piano
I think I'm going to just pick a object out of the hat so to speak and write about it. See how it goes. Sometimes I feel the need to sit at the piano and play something. Most usually something I have learned in the past. However, sometimes I like to just sit and play whatever comes to mind. Its normally something sweet and soft, that flows gently from one chord to the next. I take for granted that the years I spent learning the art, has helped me with what I can do today. Playing two different things with either hand, I supposed is a learned skill that I often forget most cannot do. I do enjoy playing the slower sonatas, anything that can allow me to, in so many words, make love to, I enjoy playing. So...I got myself moved this weekend. To my MOM'S. God help me. Recently, me and my kids found a cat with 7 kittens and even though we knew we couldn't take that much on we began to feed them..of course now, they won't leave lol...Unfortunately, there are only 5 kittens left- 2 died early on...they are adorable though..they live under our back porch and under the house- the manage to find a way under there to keep warm..It's a ritual every day for us to go in the morning before school and feed them and after school...my youngest son who is autistic will talk to them, it's soo cute..he opens up and says alot ...it makes him in better spirits when he has had a rough day...

My god am I ever a friggin mess right now. I just talked to Rudi semi telling him how I feel. Asking him what he wants to become of all this. He said he wants to be able to get me to stay here in Germany permanently but cant do it at the time being. He said he was waiting for a better time. I told him I cant do this back and forth thing, not knowing where I will stay or what I will do is tearing me up inside. Well. today hasn't been the greatest day. There is too much going on here in my life that when I think about it...I am sad. I either can't sleep or only want to sleep. I spend a lot of time in bed. Chicken Fried Tofu
Ingredients (use vegan versions): 1 block of tofu 3 Tablespoons nutritional yeast 2 oz. Braggs Liquid Aminos pepper to taste salt substitute to taste oil Directions: Turn on oven to 375 degrees. Lightly oil a baking pan with a paper towel. Strain water from tofu and slic into thin rectangles. Place on baking pan. Squirt a bit of Braggs Liquid Aminos on the tofu. Sprinkle with nutritional yeast and spices, and place in the oven for 15 minutes. Turn tofu slices over and sprinkle remaining nutritional yeast, and seasonings on top. Let cook for another 10 minutes until golden brown on both sides. Tastes like fried chicken. Serve with your favorite grain and veggies. Enjoy! Serves: 2 - 4 Preparation time: 25 minutes

Dragonfly's Vegan Ribs
Ingredients (use vegan versions): 2 cups vital wheat gluten 1 7/8 - 2 cups of water 2 Tblsp of vegan beef broth 2 Tblsp KAL nutritional yeast 1 Tblsp of tomato flavored bouillon some unbleached flour for dusting 2-3 Tblsp of raw tahini vegan BBQ sauce of your choice, as much as you like to use Directions: Mix the gluten with the broth and bouillon. Using a fork, make a well in the center and add the water all at once. (Add more of you live in a dry area, less of you don't, hence the different amount.) Mix fast, rapidly encorporating all the gluten. Dust a flat surface, dust your hands and lightly dust the gluten lump. Knead till rubbery and smooth. Use more flour if you need to. Flatten the gluten out with the tips of your fingers. Melt the tahini in the microwave or on the stove. You want it to be smooth, slightly warm and easy to spread. Using just your fingertips, poke the melted tahini into the surface of the gluten. Turn

Super Eggplant-tomato Sauce
his is the s**t! The sweet-n-sour sauce goes great over any kind of pasta, dumplings, rice or even potatoes. Ingredients (use vegan versions): 4 tablespoon olive oil (or just use cooking spray) 1 eggplant, cubed 1 bell pepper, chopped 1 onion, chopped 2 garlic colves, minced 28oz canned or fresh tomatoes 5 tablespoon tomato paste 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 cup water salt and pepper to taste Directions: ON STOVETOP: In a medium saucepan heat olive oil. Add chopped bell pepper, onion and garlic. Saute for ~5 minutes. Then add eggplant and saute for 5 minutes more. Now add tomatoes (with the liquid), tomato paste, sugar and water. The water amount may vary depending on how much liquid your tomatoes had and how runny you like your sauce. Cook for additional 5 minutes until everything is soft. IN MICROWAVE: In a microwave safe dish combine onion, garlic and bell pepper. Sprinkle with oil, stir, cover and cook for 4 min on 7

1 cup chicken stock 1 bottle Mexican beer 4 pieces, 6 ounces each boneless, skinless chicken breast 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1 medium onion, peeled and finely chopped 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, eyeball it 1 tablespoon hot sauce (recommended: Tabasco) 2 tablespoons grill seasoning blend (recommended: Montreal Steak Seasoning, by McCormick) 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar 4 tablespoons tomato paste 1 large sour deli pickle, chopped 6 to 8 slices sweet bread and butter pickles, chopped 6 soft sammy buns, such as soft burger rolls, split Bring liquids to a simmer in a small to medium skillet and slide in the chicken breast meat. Gently poach the chicken 10 minutes, turning once about after 5 minutes. While chicken poaches, heat a second medium skillet over medium low heat. To hot skillet, add extra-virgin olive oil and garlic and onion and gently saute until chicken is ready to come out of poaching liquids.

Buffalo Chicken Salad
2 hearts romaine lettuce, chopped 1 cup shredded carrots, available in pouches 2 ribs celery with greens, chopped 1/2 cup ranch dressing 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles 1 package, 3/4 to 1 pound, chicken tenders, cut into bite size pieces 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 turn of the pan 2 tablespoons butter Salt and black pepper 1/4 cup hot sauce Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Combine lettuce, carrots and celery in a salad bowl. Combine ranch dressing and blue cheese crumbles in a small bowl. Add oil and butter to hot pan with the chicken. Season with salt and pepper and sear for 2 or 3 minutes, then add hot sauce. Reduce heat a little and cook 5 minutes more. Toss salad with dressing and season with salt and pepper. Top salad with Buffalo chicken and serve.

Peking Chicken Pizza
Note: put a pot of water on to boil for pasta, then prepare recipes in order listed below. 1/2 pound thin cut (cutlets) boneless, skinless chicken breast Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling Grill seasoning blend (recommended: Montreal Seasoning by McCormick) or salt and pepper 2 tablespoons cornmeal or all-purpose flour 1 package store bought pizza dough (you are making 1 12-inch pie) 2 to 3 tablespoons sesame seeds 3 tablespoons plum sauce or Peking Duck Sauce 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce, any variety or brand 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack, available on dairy aisle 2 scallions, chopped in 1-inch pieces on an angle 1/4 red bell pepper, chopped Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Heat a grill pan over high heat. Drizzle oil over chicken cutlets and season with grill seasoning blend or salt and pepper. Grill chicken 3 or 4 minutes on each side. Chimichurri Chicken Bites
This recipe is my take on chimichurri, oil, vinegar, onions and garlic, herbs and spices that serve as both marinade and dipping sauce. 1 rounded tablespoon sweet paprika 3/4 cup flat-leaf parsley leaves, a couple of handfuls 3 tablespoons fresh oregano leaves 3 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves 2 bay leaves, crumbled 1/2 small white onion, coarsely chopped 3 cloves garlic 1 teaspoon cayenne 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil, eyeball it 1/4 cup red wine vinegar, 3 splashes 1 teaspoon coarse salt 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 pounds chicken tenders Preheat a grill pan over high heat. In a food processor combine paprika, parsley, oregano, thyme, bay leaves, onion, garlic and cayenne. Finely chop the mixture by pulsing. Heat oil in a small pan over medium low heat. When oil is warm, stir herb and garlic mixture into oil and heat 3 to 5 minutes, then remove from heat. The oil will become infused with the flavor of the herbs and garlic. Transfer to a bowl and stir in vinegar and salt. Taste

Happy Hour
Why is it that most of the people who host the Happy Hour never return your rate and fan even though they say they are even when they accept the fan request? Wow, I just did over 300 comments this morning. I am so far behind that one girl. Yet she keeps checking up on me every chance she can get. I need all of your help! Roloff Farms
Yesterday (Sunday 10-14) we went up to Hillsboro OR to the Roloff Farms where we have been 2 years in a row now for October. We go up there to pick some pumpkins and make a day trip to get away from home for awhile. The Roloff's are the stars of Little People, Big World on The Learning Channel. In my photo gallery I posted a pic of me holding an ugly pumpkin I found in the pumpkin patch. We met Amy and saw Matt and Jacob running around the farm working. We picked up 149 pounds of pumpkins and brought them back home. Tonight is the season opener on the Learning Channel for season five. We might be on TV a few months from now since the TV production crew was running around all over the place with cameras and there are cameras mounted all over to shoot things going on all over the farm to be shown on the show. And... yes, we will be going back again next year.

Things haven't been so great recently. I'm not gonna go into details. I don't wanna depress anyone (or depress them further if I already have). Suffice to say, The Cap'n is not the happiest of bunnies. As a semi-silver lining, though, I have recently met some great people here (three, to be exact) and so my faith in this site as a reasonable waste of my time, rather than the hell-spawned, soul-destroying cesspool I was beginning to think it was, has been restored. Well the 5th anniversary of Evan's death is coming up soon. I was going to just stay home, mope and cry for the day. Can't go to Iowa to visit his grave because I don't have the cash, and I would have to take my son. I don't think he would understand that I'm crying over his actual father. The one that helped me create him. I've been living in denial because I wanted to protect myself. Protect my son. So i finally got the nerves to stand up for my self and tell my bitch of an ex to fuck off. I told her that i was taking custody of MY daughter and if she didnt like it to bad. I am finally happy for once in my life and dont understand why i stayed with her in the first place.
