I noticed that a lot of people on here keep certain people on their lists just for entertainment value. I mean they don't really "like" the person per say, but they are a drama queen and it's like watching a train wreck. Then there's the people with literally thousands of people on their list. How do you deal with all that fodder in the bar tab? I'd want to e-stab someone. Then there's the list snobs (such as myself) who keep their lists small and deny anyone they deem unfriendable.   It's funny how fu works sometimes and how wrapped up we get in such little things. Rip Leah...my Pretty Eagle
I've been a "parent" of Leah the Bald Eagle at Brookfield Zoo for the past 17 years. I would enjoy visiting her, taking pics and talking to her. Sure, that might seem silly to some, but she responded to it. I truly believe animal can sense when people care. Leah was in captivity because she was injured and wouldn't have survived in the wild on her own. That is the only way you will see a bald eagle in the zoo, if it has been injured and can't survive in the wild. Anyway, every year the zoo has a "Parent's Night" where you stay after the zoo closes and you can visit with your "child". They have special programs, bands, etc. This year's is next Saturday and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I won't be seeing her. Leah passed away this morning. The sun rises on another beautiful SC day, down the hall trots an American Pit Bull Terrier (A.P.B.T). Looking out the two large glass doors into the back yard, she starts to bark at some squirrels. Update On David

An Awesome Day
Today I had 2 hours of work, than it was off to the 3rd Annual Tax Olympics (team building event). We started with a scavenger hunt that encluded treking several miles around Balboa Park. The clues were quite difficult but most of the teams did well. We played Volleyball and Dodgeball. We had a donut on a string eating contest and a relay race. My favorite part was during the relay race. The team captain had to stick their face in a bowl of whipped cream and chocolate sauce and get 3 worms out using only their mouth. The pictures after that were the best! I almost forgot to mention the food. They had the same business that comes out each year to make us food. Carne & Pollo asado tacos with cilantro, guac, and onions. They also made this thing called moola (spelling?) that had cheese and the tortillas were on top & bottom instead of wrapped around the rest. Let the weekend begin. We're going for a walk at the lake later and I'm really looking forward to the Spa on Sunday.

My Weekend...
I spent the weekend with my sister and mom. It was nice to have family around. My sissy slept in my bed with me. It was also nice to have someone in the bed. I slept better than I have all week. Katie went to her dads. So I just had the other three kids. In case you dont know I have four kids. Katie who is 9, Courtney is 7, Harley is 3, and Hannah is 1. What a handful. Sometimes you really don't know the impact that you have on the life of another human being until one day it slaps you in the face. I recently got a very heartfelt thank you for being a friend and supporting him during the time he spent in Iraq. He is currently on his way home to be with his family. Halloween Costume!
So I finally got all my stuff for my halloween costume and it's gonna be awesome. In case I haven't told you already I'm gonna be Mario from the Super Mario Brothers. So I got a hat, overalls, red long sleeved shirt, boots, fake mustache stuff which has this adhesive that's probably gonna give me cancer ( but that's how you know it works!) I have to cut out the white circle and the M for the cap but I got craft foam and I'm gonna use a hot glue gun on it. It's really gonna be awesome. I'm doing this nonsense for the Halloween event we're having at the Zoo it's the 27-30th from 6-9 You should totally be there! After 2 weeks we know all the results about F1 and Moto GP. Shumacher did a wonderful race, on the grid was 10th, then after 3 laps take the 6th place, then a contact with renoult cars destroy one tire, box and then restart again, after that he was the last one with 38 seconds of distance from the car before him. Last week I was in Atlanta, Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immedately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen. (Sigh. I hate how it redates blogs when you edit them. This is from late November, post-Thanksgiving weekend. I just retitled it today... forgetting about the re-dating. Grumble.) Well, I have returned from a four-day trip to Cincinnati for the Turkey Day weekend. It was a wonderful trip. I'll Be Gone For A While
Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to be gone for two weeks I'm leaving tomorrow for Christmas vacation. Teachers With Guns
ok, so I have this friend his mom is a teacher and he told me about this time when he tried to teach his mom how to use a gun. And yes he's perfectly qualified he was trained how to use almost every type of weapon there is in the Army. Anyways it didnt go very well she just couldnt manage the gun very well at all. She couldnt load the gun, remember where the safety was, or hit the target that was 10 feet away. Now dont get me wrong Ive met his mom and she is by no means Stupid. Christmas
When I awoke this morning, the first thought to come into my mind was, There is no one here to say Merry Christmas to. No children running in to open presents. No family to greet with a hug. No special someone to give a gift to. I was greeted by two very loving dogs. So I thought what the hell, I'll make the most of what I have been dealt. I put the dogs leashes on and we went for a long walk around the lake. I sat near the water and thought of Christmas's from long ago, when they were all good. I remember the Christmas of 1968 when all I wanted was a Stingray bicycle. I got it! Christmas 1974 was when all I wanted was a shotgun so I could rabbit and squirrel hunt. I got it! There were many memorable Holidays over the years. Last year at this time I had my worse Christmas ever. It had nothing to do with what I received, it was because of what I couldnt give. It Has Been The Best Holiday Season Ever
As I am sure most of my friends know, John(my b/f of the past 6 yrs) has been in the hospital for the past 6 1/2 weeks with kidney failure and then a mass of other issues on top of that. So many times in the past 6 weeks, things were looking really good and then within hours it seemed like it would make a huge turn for the worse. Be it the swelling in his neck that closed his wind pipe, the unexplained fevers of 104 for a week or more at a time and the docotrs not finding anything that caused them, several lung infections, a collapsed lung, unexplained raises in his heart rate and crazy low blood presure... just to name a few things... Well after 6 long weeks, we talked the doctors into trying to remove his sedation. In the past when they tried, John would beome very angry and fight to get out of bed, so they would resedate him again. Friday after talking with his doctors we found no reason for him to be sedated any longer and pretty much told them that they are going to have to deal
