From The "toronto Sun"
They call it the Highway of Heroes -- that stretch of Hwy. 401 between Trenton and Toronto along which travel the sad processions of hearses carrying the bodies of Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan. Most of them are repatriated to CFB Trenton and then sent to Toronto for autopsy before being returned to their home towns across the country, and it has become a bit of a tragic tradition for television cameras to record these final journeys. The images of flag-draped caskets rolling up the highway and the crowds of people who come out to line the overpasses to pay their respects are hard to put out of your mind. You'd have to be one hard-hearted Canadian to fail to be moved by the sight, so often repeated in the last few months. Now, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty has said he'll officially consider redesignating those 172 kms "The Highway of Heroes" as a memorial, and a lot of people seem to think that's a good idea. 2 Movies
Yesterday I saw 2 different movies in the theater. The 1st one I saw was The Brave One starring Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard. It was an excellent movie! Had plenty of action and the story line was fabulous. The 2nd movie I saw was Eastern Promises. Ugh, what a dud. It was terrible acting, and the storyline was just strange. Its not a good sign when people are laughing in the theater when someone gets their throat cut because the scene was so terribly done.

Went to visit my mom and she is being released tommorrow in the morning. They did not take the other mass out yet and they are going to have her tested and see what it is. Back In Hospital
Well, dad started chemo last Wednesday.... And ended up in the hospital on Sunday....Nice huh? It completely wiped out his white blood cells...as of today his White Blood Cell count was 600 which means he has NO way of fighting any kind of infection. He also already has an intestinal infection and is very sick and weak....so it hasn't been a good few days....He should pull out of it in a day or so tho...Keeping fingers crossed and the prayer lines open...... Peeing!
Has anyone ever peed where you shouldn't. I am not talking about those emergency times..where you whip it out.. when your outside. I mean, have you ever slept walk..or was so tired you peed where you shouldn't. I was on here late lastnight..and seen my boy come down the steps. The bathroom is right near the corner I am in. Rough Time

It Is Upon Me.... Finally!!
OK Matt and I went to my school orientation today. I know I went ot one before but that was the one to see if I got into school. This one is for I got into school here is all the shit you need to buy and good luck with figuring out where to go and when orientation. I was glad I had Matt with me though. We started out in the caf. with the student president attempting to tell us about certain things and doing more jumping around and what not that getting stuff right. So it was good for a laugh when he introduced people who actually knew what was going on and set stuff straight...lol Then we were all sent on our way for numerous college life workshops, which Matt and I just plain avoided. I dont want to be on a sports team, or join the student council. My main goal is to get through this with good enough grades to make a life. Which the way they talk about it, isnt gonna be easy. I have noticied that here lately that there is alot of peolpe out there who don't support us. I am a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. I have been in for almost 10 years now. The military is my job and I love what I do. For the most part a large majority in the military love what they do. It is a job that I chose just like everyone else chose where they wanted to work. I do not understand this, why do people in the country not support the troops. There have even been some that have given the ultimate sacrifice. We do our job so that the people of the United States can enjoy the freedom's and liberty's still today. I'm re reading The Land That Time Forgot right now, and finding it just as riveting now as it was when I first read it some 25 or 30 years ago! Man that dude could WRITE! Update To Last Entry
Grandbaby, Skyler, born yesterday. born at 12:42pm. weight: 6lbs. 14oz. length: 18 inches. blond hair, and at least for now blue eyes. He was a merconium birth which means they have to guard against him developing things like pneumonia. My daughter isn't in the best of moods right now because of the hospital. But she'll get over it. It's just going to hard when she goes home because she's bullheaded just like me. So I know she'll try to do too much.

How She Feels
He told her he loved her, her heart jumped out of her chest. She kissed him passionately, thinking their loved was blessed. She came over one night, to find things had changed. no more love, but only kisses but he's still the boy she misses. She plays love songs all day, hoping the pain will go away. Day after day, pretending to be okay, hoping she'd be with her penguin at the end of the day. Flashbacks of the weeks they had, fighting back the tears of the day that made her sad. Remembering the day they met, wondering if its something she should forget. Crying alone in the dark, wishing he'd call her up to talk. Wtf Is Wrong With My Mother
For 18 years I've had to deal with my sister dumping her kids and pets off here and making me deal with it. Mom and dad thought she shit gold and pissed wine. Then the 'Golden Child' was born.. Looking For Work....
Yea. So I've been on a few interviews...wearing the dopey tie and sports jacket.... carrying a copy of my resume,clean shaven and bright eyed and bushy tailed. I've never been arrested but good g0d, these interview process seem to me to be like being grilled by Sgt.Sniskwaki. Apparently the new modus operandi; is running back round checks and also credit reports as well. My credit isn't Triple A plus but sufficed to say it's decent. So anyways back to the interviews...I get peppered with alot of tech questions, as the jobs I'm going for are all I.T. related. I'm sure I got a answer or 2 wrong but I know I nailed like 95 % of them. The interview ends, I get a business card and am told that there's a few more applicant's that have to be seen. Touch base with us in a few days. Fair enough...I call and get the secretary running interference or just voice mail. Or call the cell and it's straight to VM. Frustrating to say the least. Time is something I do not think anyone actually grasps or truly begins to comprehend until they them selves have recognized that they are in somewhat of short supply themselves, and or complete lack of it. The overwhelming sensation of emptiness and confusion sets in at this point. Most are in a altered state of mind or simply leaning towards denial rather than accepting the situation for what it is. Even fewer after accepting take the whole concept to a new level of reality and address this even now, questions such as where did it go? How did it slip by so fast and why didn’t I recognize this sooner? Almost instantly a second set of questions start to run for example endless counts of what could have been. A secondary mental diagnostic to review the whole revelation and process in which this level of reality was achieved, rather than simply accepting the revelations and proceeding less hast. So I started talking to an ex again. We were getting along great and everything was going fine. Last night we spent the night together. I won't go into details, but it was very nice. I have seen a lot of people with status or blogs about not rating the Happy Hour Host for today...Even some who said they wouldn't be online again until all of his HH were over with. Am I missing something? I have no idea who this HH host is. Never spoke to him. Never been to his page. However, it's not because he chooses to spend his money in ways that I don't. There are MANY people on this site that buy HH as they please and I feel that is their business. Someone has to support the site and rather it's done with monthly VIPs, bling packs, tickers or Happy Hours, some may still consider it money wasted. We all earn out own money in our own ways...hopefully the legal way, so with that being said...shouldn't people be able to spend it wisely or blow it as they see fit? Monday night, my dad woke up with terrible pain in his ankle and foot. My mom saw him jump out of bed (which is very bad with his BP) so she followed him towards the bathroom. He was extremely wobbly, so she put her arm around his waist from the back. When he got into the bathroom, he collapsed and she couldn't do anything to break his fall. Andrew and Shane (in my family list as the Beer Guy) went running and immediately started first aid. I heard the crash and went flying upstairs to see what was going on. My dad had lost consciousness and Andrew and Shane were trying to bring him out of it. At first we thought it was his sugar, so Mom checked that, but it was fine. Andrew checked my Dad's pulse, and Shane checked his eyes and kept talking to him to get him to respond. My Puppy Is Sooo Smart--sometimes!

New Feature Is A Pain !!!
This was in a Blog made By Baby Jesus, I think the new feature sucks cause it takes away from picture ratings !! Basically, it works the same way as the photo rating system. you can now rate someone every 7 days, and every 7 days (or anytime after that) you'll both receive full credit for the rating (including rating count). just as before, you can *always* re-rate anyone at anytime, but if it hasn't been 7 days you won't get any points/credit for it. previously, a member could only rate another member once... and that was it. i think this new way is more fun and gives everyone a reason to show their friends more love, more often. Navy Petty Officer Mike Monsoor PO2 (EOD2) Mike Monsoor, a Navy EOD Technician, was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously for jumping on a grenade in Iraq , giving his life to save his fellow SEALs. During Mike Monsoor's funeral in San Diego , as his coffin was being moved from the hearse to the grave site at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery , SEALs were lined up on both sides of the pallbearers route forming a column of twos, with the coffin moving up the center. NASCAR placed Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards on probation Wednesday for the next six Sprint Cup Series races, the result of their on-track incident last weekend at the end of the race at Bristol Motor Speedway. During the cooldown lap after Edwards’ Ford took the checkered flag for Roush Fenway Racing, Busch drove alongside Edwards and bumped his car. Labor Day Weekend
My labor day weekend celebration... So this weekend was another gathering, semi festival. I get there on thursday after working half the day, then driving 5hrs into the hills. Then the first full day our cook has to leave for the rest of the gathering... something about stopping her meds cold turkey.. anyways you know me, I end up being the cook for EVERYONE for the remainder of the fest. It was just scary, the last time I got sleep was for about 2 hrs sunday morning. I couldnt get the nap I needed sunday night. I dont know.. I was talking to a whole bunch of people. Teaching and counceling.. then I tried to sleep, but I just ended up laying there. So I went to go and sit next to the fire that we all gather at to go to the ritual site. I looked over my shoulder as I was sitting there and saw that over the trees by the ritual circle, you could see a fire. Doctor
Went to the doctor yesterday. Had some blood work done plus some other tests. Apparently something might be wrong with my liver, among other things. This is the main reason why I've been upset all week. Plus being sick hasn't made things any easier. And this morning, I've been coughing up blood. It's all a bit scary. So, for those of you that are religious, pray for me? And for those who aren't, keep your fingers crossed. I'm not gonna lie, I'm really scared. I've never been this terrified in my life. The doctor gave me some medicine. And today we're calling about getting some others as well. I'll be the drug queen. Haha.
