11 PEOPLE ON A ROPE Eleven people were hanging on a rope, under a helicopter. 10 men and 1 woman. The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that 1 had to leave, because otherwise they were all going to fall. They weren't able to choose that person, until the woman gave a very touching speech. The Big Update!!
Very warm, fuzzy, & merry greetings from the Metalhead Lover. Here again to share with you some more insight on life and the changes that occur during it. I know that many of you have been wondering a lot of things about me: my health, my career, my current place of living. Please, please, remain calm and settle down. I received all of your messages, read them all, and responded to all of them. And now, a open entry for all to enjoy. Now, as for me, lets talk. First off, my foot is just about healed. Another 3 weeks and I will be able to run again. As for my shoulder and clavical, well, I still don't have full range of motion for my left arm and it is still really numb around my shoulder. Lots of scar tissue and some nerve damage is still there. Doc said another 2 or 3 months before I should be able to rotate it normally and at least another 3 to 4 months of rehab. Thankfully, I have gotten much of my lost strength back. About 50% of my strength is back. I will get the rest I assume

Well here we go again, Seems like when the Holiday's come so does all this bad crap. I just heard Yesterday that my Lil Brother, HAs a Tumor in his stomach, and this Morning he has went to Surgery, He has been in Surg for over 14 hrs, now. The Doctor said that he is lucky to be alive. They have removed it and repaired all that it effected. His pankric his Intestines, his Kidney. Now they are replacing a vein from his Legs with one from his neck that we don't use, I didn't know we had any extra.They said this is going to take about 3 hrs. He is doing good, If he makes it out of surg, He will be put in Intensive care, and watched don't know how long he will be there. Hospital Visit
So I just got home from a stay at the hospital. I have to say that I am overall dissatified with my stay. I had to go back to the ER monday because the bite that I had gone if for on Saturday. It had spread further down my leg almost to my ankle, which frankly scared the crap out of me. So I went back, and they started me on several cycles of antibiotics, one of which led to a very bad reaction, or side effect I guess. Beware Vancomyacin. There is a rare side effect called red man, where your body becomes hot and flushed, then starts in with an almost psychotic need to scratch yourself until you're bleeding... This is where my dissatisfation comes in, They let me scratch myself to hell and back leaving rather horrid looking marks all over my tummy, back arms and legs for over 30 minutes before deciding I was having that reaction and giving me Benadryl for the reaction, which THANKFULLY made it stop after about 5 minutes and subsequently I was KTFO. The Ghosts Of Gettysburg
In July 2001 my then girlfriend and I went to Gettysburg to watch the reenactment of the battle fought there during the civil war. Our first night we stayed at a bed and breakfast called the Cashtown Inn. If you have ever seen the movie it is a big red brick building they show as Lee's troops are moving into Gettysburg. Lee actually set his headquarters up there during the battle. Anyway we get to the Cashtown Inn and check in and go to our room. In the room they had a guest book to write your experience about your stay and also had 2 movies Gettysburg and The Ghosts of Gettysburg. Blast From The Past
Sometimes we don't realize how much of an impact we can have on the lives of those we befriend....I know I didn't, at least until today. I logged on to check my Myspace (which I should do more frequently) and saw a face I haven't seen in years. It was Erika, a girl I went to my middle school. She asked if I remembered her...of course I did, because she was my best friend back then. She said she'd always wondered what happened to me after she moved away and wanted to thank me for always being there to listen when she needed a friend. Her parents were going through an ugly divorce back then and it was really hard on her. It's funny to think that after all these years she still remembered me and looked me up. We did some catching up today and we will be getting together for lunch soon. Guess Myspace is good for something, lol.

I Know What I'm Getting For Christmas!
Squeeeeeeeeee! I'm going to "Phantom of the Opera"!!!!!!!!!!!! Hubby bought tickets last night (but we don't have them yet...they're supposed to be mailed to us). With any luck we'll get them before Christmas and he'll put them under the tree to open at my mom's on Christmas Eve. I know, I know...it won't be a surprise at all, but I don't consider it to be a waste. After all, since he paid $206.50 (Canadian dollars) for the tickets, I don't expect there to be anything else under the tree for me from him. =^_^= (Even though I kinda had my heart set on a new MP3 Player...but in all honesty, I'd much rather go to see "Phantom of the Opera"! And I thought finding out that one of my close friends is dead was hard enough. Today was the worst. The funeral. Before reading this story I want to emphasize that I believe in God, Jesus, Maria and the Bible…. but not the way it’s interpreted in the world. My Life
Well my life is full of love and family but aside of that I have a very ill son to take care of. The only reason I came back on fubar was to talk to my best friend Al who I lost contact with a while back. Sure I love new friends but people please respect the fact that I am not here for a date. often enough my friends and family will ask or say that i am emotionaly disturbed. well i am going to tell you why. I am a 24 year old mother of 3, and what do i have to show for it. Fast Taco Soup It's a fiesta in a bowl! If you like a little spicy heat, add a seeded, chopped jalapeno along with the beef or a pinch of chili powder along with the taco seasoning. I just read an article in this week's People magazine about retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Conner. She has to been married to her husband for 54 years, and retired a few years ago to take care of her husband who has been disgnosed with Alzheimer's disease 17 years ago. 11-29-07 41st Entry
I've been trying to come up with things to write but am not having much luck. Things are basically at a semi stand still with the doctor situations due to having 3 more weigh ins to go until my case goes to the insurance company. I guess I'll write a bit about clothes. I realized today when I got my new clothes (had to get an outfit for New Years as it was part of the bargain for a $ loan I got to help me through until I get my temporary disability. Thrifty me got 3 full outfits and a couple extra shirts for the price of 1 full outfit lmao. Clearance shopping is a good thing.). Anyway I got the clothes and tried them on. I realized then just how much I hate the clothes I've been stuck with for so long. I know I've realized before but when I put on the leggings they felt awesome, something I've not felt since I got too fat for normal clothes. I look good in them too. I prefer leggings and jeans but am (or I should say was as I have lost enough weight to get leggings)

Yup, 'tis The Season.
Well, it's official, I will be on 6days a week starting the first till Christmas.. ack!! I'll be working 3am till 1pm and that's if I can actually get out of work at 1.. That's nice and all I'll get outta there at one and still ahve the whole day, but not really. If I plan to get any kind of sleep, bedtime will have to be at the latest 8pm and up around 1 or 2 am. I wonder if I'll be able to take a mini vacation when this is all over with. Just as an FYI, being in retail myself, please be kind to your cashiers and clerks at the stores. Try and be kinder and have more patience as everyone is trying to get their shopping done. Please oh please, don't let your children run amuck in the toy aisle. It isn't the babysitting section and remember before these people can go home for the night they still have to clean up the store before they leave, so be nice and don't just leave stuff anywhere.

as a few on here know i have been trying to get my youngest son back.(for a year now). he was put in foster care because of something his dad did.(his dad had custody of him). well today my world came crashing down, i was informed that the state of washington was not going to approve the icpc and that my son remain in long term foster care until he turns 18. there was also talk of both my ex and myself signing over our rights to him, (the ex did). monday in court it was stated that it would hurt and cause damage to my son if i had to, so really that is the only good thing at least i can still see my son, but i have to wait a year in a half before he can come home. this is why i am dyeing inside. that you all for taking the time to read this. adirah

I dont understand that. I have also been told i have friends and you know what i have found out is that the people who say they are your true friends just turn their back if its not about them. I have found who my ture friends are and i have found out that out of all my so called friends only three are standing here to support me and keep me going. I Can't Believe It!
It was a month on the 27th that my one true love and I have been together! My life has never been happier now that he is in it. What makes it even better is that I get along with his son and he gets along with my daughter. Being single parents, it is hard to find someone that the kids will get along with and want to spend time with. He has opened my eyes to so much in this past month and I cant wait to see how much better things can get. Has Anyone Ever Come So Close Yet / So Far From Death?
In past 10 yrs Ive almost died three times , and past 4 yrs almost two times ; Ive never so close yet so far . Three times succide , all a stared since 1999 June. In 2003 had a deseased gall bladder ..low iron supply in my body,s blood.. I always was anemic .. No reason to why found medically...suffered 8 months in pain , felt like a heart attack ;every time an attack hit me. I went to county hospital close to where I live . No one would set a sonagram up for me . i told Dr.s what I thought it was , my gall bladder,; took three months to be seen . I didnt make it to that sonagram , i was admitted at another hospital; thru Er Room and rushed an hour latter into Er surgery as soon as a dr arrived to do the surgery . I was lucky . Life Lessons
There are a few things you learn along the way as you grow up and i think that it is different for each and every one of us. We all have to take our own journey and see what we see. The biggest things that i have learned in my life are this: 1: be wary, for not everyone has your best interest at heart. Infact often times people will lie and deceive you jsut to get what they want or need from you, be it physically, emotionally, financially or socially. 2: if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Okay i just had a very long day...i worked a double shift...went to a class that was pointless....then i went to the store, got some meds because i'm sick...on the way out i saw a kitten so for 2 hours i tried to saw this kitten...but being sick and freezing..i could not get the kitten and so i had to leave it...i wish i could have gotten it and save it...but i had to leave and then there was even more kittens across the way...i wish i could have saved them but the will be taken care of, the humane society can save them...:(

I want everyone to know that I have MUCH more to offer in the way of conversations, than just the racial issues. Unfortunately, when I poosted three mumms today (as a sort of "social experiment") the one on race seemed to never die. Tequila Cookies
TEQUILA COOKIES 1 cup of dark brown sugar 1 cup (2 sticks) butter 1 cup of granulated sugar 4 large eggs 2 cups of dried fruit, such as dried cranberries or raisins 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 tsp fresh lemon juice 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila (silver or gold, as desired) - Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup.... just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, Pick the frigging fruit off floor... Mix on the turner. My mind rambles this evening. Mulling over the past, the present. Just wishing things had come out a little differently for everyone I love-including myself. Stars Timothy Olyphant (who I was quite sure I'd seen before - he has a substantial list of credits, but not in shows or movies I've seen - habits of speech, phrasing, manner of his were very similar to those of someone's, maybe Bull Shannon's (played by Richard Moll) on Night Court, or someone else's I recall?!?, in lighter moments in this film...) as Agent 47, an assassin trained from early childhood, and Dougray Scott as the only police agent (Interpol), apparently, who believes he exists. The assassin apparently fails to assassinate the president of a very well-known country, his superiors "throw him to the wolves"- but a little digging discovers that this apparently obvious story is not the whole or even really the truth of it. For all of that the film is a bit formulaic (not very, I thought), but interesting, still surprising, and nicely done :). Definitely R-rated though.
