Another trip to the DIRTY South successfully navigated! This time it only lasted 10 days with technically only three business days of work actually accomplished! AWESOME! Gotta love to get paid to do a whole lot of nothing, oh wait, am I getting paid for that trip?! Can't remember! So, we hit the ground running on a late Monday night (27th of August), grabbed up the rental car because our company refused to hook us up with one. A little change out of our pockets but well worth it! We decided it wasn't even worth it to head to FBNC so we got a hotel. Comfort Foods...
Good Morning and Happy Fall! Wooohoo fall is sticking it’s neck out there just far enough as if to say…I smell cold temperatures on the Horizon. Brrr that time of year for chili and soups. You know today on MSN’s little web site home page there are plenty of things to bash, I mean Parish Hilton is yet once more a topic of conversation for one writer, but more so many things just swirled around in my head on some of the head lines and feet lines (feet lines is a Marty Term for stinky stuff no one cares to see) that I found a little nugget hidden in the mix called. “COMFORT FOOD” oh yeah! Comfort food, Ma Bell bless her sole used to make what my dad called a baked dinner. It was simple to say the least and was nothing more then Scalloped Potatoes, Baked Beans and Macaroni and Cheese. Ok sounds simple enough and major belly stuffing can be had. Oh yeah and it was not a box Mac and Cheese thank you very much it was a grate the cheddar and slam it together with Real Butter and Whole Milk.

Iraq Update
Hello to all my friends out in fubar land. Well here is a little update from Iraq. the past couple of weeks have been very quiet in my sector. Not really to much to write about in the field of battle. There is a little to mention out there about what i have done so here it is, Well my squad is down to 6 men n we still function nas if we are full strenght of 12. We have raided several houses and captured several high value targets. Most are at night when we raid the house but there have been a couple that have been during the day. When u would think they were not home. guess they thought we would not go looking for them,,Boy did we fool them....Well thats all i have for now will get back and post a lil more when i have time....tks for the support..

Still Working On It
Well all last winter I did really good on working out everyday, eating right but the weight it's self didn't seem to go anywhere. I was getting slimmer but stayed the same weight. Very frustrating. Well this fall winter season I am just watching my calorie intake and not working out as much, due to so much school work. And I am dropping the weight. I have lost 15lbs, I need to lose at least another 15 to be only 49% overweight. Beign tall really helps hide the weight, and of course wearing baggy clothing. So I guess I will just have to keep up with what I am doing, I might start adding in some work outs here and there so I can slim what I have lost.

Health Update
Yesterday I visited the doctors surgery twice. One in the morning to see about my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome problems. I have now been referred for decompression surgery at my local hospital. I have been informed that the waiting time for this kind of procedure should not be long. In this case I may well be looking at surgery before Christmas this year. The recovery time differs for each patient but I have been informed that for me this will be somewhere between two weeks and three months, quite a wide time-scale! From my point of view the sooner the better as I may be requiring time off work around this time. I have increasing problems with my arms so I would very much like to have my surgery and get back to normal now as soon as possible. Later in the day I saw my other doctor regarding my blood pressure. I had been suffering from a constant dry throat from August until the start of October. This was diagnosed as being caused by a water tablet which I take to accompany my bloo

Well I said in my last blog that I would keep you up to date on what was going on with me wanting to get a truck. After agreeing to look at cars, we did get a truck. I am happy now, but I am sure that I will be paying for it later. We got a Ford F250.

Wow.. i am still awake... this is not like me.. i guess i am kinda starting to stress about my doctors appointment.. i am having a procedure donw on my back.. a nerve block on the nerve that is between my L4 & L5 vertabrae... they are rubbign bone on bone and messing with my ciatic nerve.. and causing me a lot of pain.. and not the kind of pain i like... oh well.. it must be done i just hope it works... if it doesn then i should be relatively pain free for the first time inline .... 15 years.. which is when i fell down the stairs and messed ujp my back in the first place..... having a blast on this site... it is sooo cool... ttyl....

I'm just so tired of meeting guys that think just because I get on websites like this one or hoverspot, tagged, myspace, profile looker or whatever! Holidays are when I miss the most. I start to look back and see who I've lost and what stupid mistakes I made. Always missing more those I've lost and loved the most. Decisions I've made I"ve now grown to regret. What ifs floating around in my head. Wishing I could go back in time and change the bad decisions I made. Would I be the same now if I did go back and changed my bad decisions, or would I be a completely different person? Would I be happy or sad like I am now? Would there be nightmares that wake me up or would I sleep soundly without a sleeping pill? Am I destined to feel like a failure? Is my life suppose to be this complicated? Would it still be this complicated if I was able to erase the bad?

I blame the music for today's marital troubles. In a sense, bad music has messed up the world as we know it. You can tell by the message that's in the music today. It seems that the mentality is "why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free". This is why no one wants to get married, and why no one today ever wants to stay married. I mean I'm not married right now because I want to get married ONE TIME and ONE TIME only. I've seen first-hand what divorce can do and let me tell you, it's not pretty. Nobody gets it worse than the kids, trust me on that. I mean nobody even cares anymore, about their spouses or anyone. Whatever happened to those Ossie Davis & Ruby Dee-type relationships? There is no sense of order, nor is there any sense of structure anymore. Believe it or not, the only way to bring that back is through the power of music.

Goods Friends Are Hard To Find.
You know I gt on this computer and just browse to see who all is on here. I have since I got my 1st. computer. You meet alot of different people on here. Some become friends. But there are only a few that become best of friends. And I have met a handful of people on here that consider my best friends. People that I can confide in and trust with anything. One person that comes to mind is the first person I ever talked in yahoo chat. Her name was melzi69. She was like a sister to me. She's from Australia. I haven't seen or talked to her for about 4 years now. And I still think of her when I go to yahoo. And then there is another person that I talk to and they will remain unnamed. (8 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, chopped, divided 10 Tbsp. butter or margarine 2/3 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/3 cup flour 1/4 tsp. salt 20 KRAFT Caramels 2 Tbsp. milk 1 cup JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 9-inch round cake pan. Line bottom of pan with waxed paper. Microwave 1 cup of the chopped chocolate and the butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar; mix well. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour and salt; stir until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. BAKE 40 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Impromptu Stir Fry
I have a stif fry cook book, but I couldn't find any dishes with the ingredients I had. So I winged it. I boiled rice with carrots until they were soft and then I heated the wok with a mix of olive oil, vegetable oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, hot sauce. Once heated I dumped in the carrots and rice and then added bean sprouts, mushrooms and peppers. I didn't feel like defrosting any meat so I took a turkey burger from last night and diced that up and tossed it in. I let all cook and then I beat an egg and threw that in as will. I let the egg cook and seasoned to taste. It was pretty darn good.

Resolve
I have made a change in my life. Not a huge change, although it seems like it some times. I have decided to lose some weight and get into better shape. This is not really a new years resolution. It's more of a job security thing. But not technically. The fact is that I want to look better for work. I really like my job. And I really want to keep my job for a long time. SOoooo I have spent the last 45 minutes or so busting my ass cleaning. Ughhhhh!! I hate when the cleaning bug bites my ass. It appears I'm not leaving my room for a while lol. THE NIGHT I DIED Tonight I died well it happen the way I didn’t want it to happen. It was suppose to end like this. I was happy on could nine (if there is such a thing) I was enjoying my life and everything in it. I’m so much in love it wasn’t supposed to happen to me but it did. Chocolate Silk Pie
By adding Kahlua to this pie recipe adds for a better taste and your guests will be begging for seconds. Ingredients 1 C. Sugar 6 oz. Butter 6 oz. Chocolate, bittersweet (unsweetened) 4 Eggs 2 tsp. Vanilla 1 Tbs. Kahlua (optional) (Coffee flavored liquor.) 1 Pie shell (9 inch), pre-baked Whipped cream Directions Melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. Set aside and allow to cool slightly. Using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Add the chocolate, vanilla and Kahlua (if used) and blend. With the mixer running, add 1 egg and beat for 5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining 3 eggs (mixing each for 5 minutes). Pre-bake the pie shell and allow cooling. Pour the mixture into the shell. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (overnight is best). Be sure to thoroughly chill this no-bake pie before attempting to slice it. Serve cold, topped with whipped cream. Serving Size 6-8

Chocolate Divinity Kisses
These sweet candies are topped with a chocolate kiss. Ingredients 2 1/2 C. granulated sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 C. light corn syrup 1/3 C. water 2 egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 oz. baking chocolate, melted 3/4 C. chopped walnuts 48 milk chocolate kisses (8 oz. pkg.), unwrapped Directions Combine sugar, salt, corn syrup and water in a 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture boils. Continue cooking, without stirring, to 260 degrees or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water separates into threads which feel hard but not brittle (soft crack stage). When sugar reaches 246 degrees, beat egg whites in large mixer bowl until stiff peaks form. When syrup reaches soft crack stage, gradually pour in a thin stream into egg whites, beating at high speed on mixer. Add vanilla and beat until candy begins to hold its shape. Quickly blend in baking chocolate; stir in nuts. Quickly drop from teaspoon onto wax p

SOMETIMES…when I think of him…when I think about how different my life would be if he were still here…I can’t help but cry. Yeah it has been 8 years since he left…8 long years that has proven that life still goes on even if the ones we love so much can’t be here. My mom has been having issues with her breathing lately. She has already been to the hospital once and is returning again tonite. I am also dealing with trying to back up ALL my important data in case of a crash again. So far I have gone through about 15 CDs of Documentaries alone. It's ridiculous. The shooting at my brother's school yesterday was apparently a random drive by. I swear this country is going to hell and there is no hope in sight. As i sit and go over some of the things that went wrong in my life i do have to also look at what has gone right. So far i am blessed with very beautiful children and some friends that i Know would never let me down. As for the ex? Please i am so over it. Ok, so for the last 3 years or so, I've been seeing the numbers 444 popping up everywhere. It never fails, I ALWAYS look at the clock at 4:44 am and pm. A Few Shitty Months....
The past few months have been a nightmare for me. Work has been an everyday pain in my ass, bills are getting higher cause of gas costs and now my rent just sky rocketed through the roof cause it's renewal time. My little cousin got the crap beat out of him at a concert (his first concert) almost a week ago and just now is getting out of the hospital. My car is making wierd noises, I am having problems with the new computer so I am gonna have to ship it back out to LA. And aside from the fact that I have no social life up here cause of work, now they are cutting everyones over time so now my money will be tighter and its too damn late to start a friggin life up here. I have been debating this for months and have decided to go back to Florida. Patient In Saturday's Aircraft Crash In Huntsville Tx Was My Uncle. Prayers/thoughts For Our Families Please
The article I just blogged about Saturday morning's aircraft crash in Huntsville, TX hits close to home. My Uncle David (my father's brother) was the patient being transferred to Houston for emergency surgery. He was taken to the hospital in Huntsville this weekend and it was later found he was having an annurism (sp? sorry im not of the mindset to look up the correct spelling). Around approx 245 Saturday morning the decision was made to life flight him to Houston as the only means of trying to save his life. An hour or so flight turned out to be torturous 6.5 hour ordeal for our family when word never came in the early morning hours that he had arrived in Houston at the hospital. We were not sent word that approximately 20 mins after the flight left Huntsville hospital that they had lost radio contact with the aircraft, until the family received word around 9am Saturday morning that the aircraft had gone down and they were dropping rescue workers in the area to "hike" in to "fi

Taking out the Trash First off, I want to say I never had had as much as life as I had here in WA state and I have met some great women and granted the fact is that many I dont speak to anymore but I still think highly of them from Sara all the way to Kristin have had some sort of impact on my person in a positive light. None Of Your Business
Every once in a while someone may share their personal opinion about something with you, and at that time you really don’t share their same view. You can’t honestly say “I know how you feel” because your outlook is quite different. A while back a close friend of mine, whom I used to see on a regular basis, and don’t see nearly as much as I’d like to these days, made a comment that just struck me while at work today. On Mondays I work at a convenience store. The wages suck, however, I do get paid similar to politicians and lawyers in the sense that I get paid to lie and show false concern. I wonder…can a person be considered two-faced for having the ability to display a content outside image, while inside they are really quite the opposite? My idea of a two-faced person is someone who acts differently around certain people, or in particular situations, than they do in the company of others.
