Do You Love-Why Look?
Why do we look to see who we are? or do we?
There is an old adage "Bad news travels ten times faster than good news" Unfortunately many people seem to do the same thing to themselves. They look into the mirror in their mind and pick out their flaws.
I am not sure if this is a condition that lots of people have become a custom too, for many reasons. You have listened to other people comment on lots of things, starting back as far as when you were a toddler. " That kid never shuts up", "What is wrong with you can't you get it right", "Why can't you be like your...(brother, sister or your friend)? These are just a few examples that many people have been told, all of which are negative. After a while many people begin to believe that those statements are true, not to mention how hurtful they are.
Many people have been put down by others who they think love them the most. Ever had your spouse or child make bad comments to you. This is a type of abuse that is not our fault. Verbal abuse can be as bad as physical abuse.
The thing we must do is to look at the positive, good things about us. When one of the "Bad" things come up, replace it with a good idea or though. Keep doing this for a couple of minutes, soon after when we think of those "Bad" things, they will no longer be there "this may take a few weeks" because you replaced them with good things. The good things are called positive affirmations.
We all contain energy, we all have our own light. The more we love the more our light grows. There is not a better feeling than waking up each day feeling the warmth of love. The love we possess for ourselves. How can we truly love and feel love if we can not love ourselves first?, think about it. We all deserve love and to be loved. Take charge of your inner being and become the person who you deserve to be. Heal you spirit and watch your love "light" grow.
