My Brothers Keeper
Recent court rulings in some provinces here in Canada have started to move towards holding people that host a house party responsible if one of their guests gets into an accident and are drunk after leaving the party. Where do I start? Well, so far they have stayed away from directly putting the blame on the host of the party, but they are not saying that they are safe from prosecution if such an incident occurs. So far you are still safe if it is a BYOB party, but if your serving alcohol, like a cocktail party, then you may be held criminally responsible, in the same way as a bar or club. This just means that we now have to choose our friends more carefully I guess. We are being told that we have to make sure our guest list does not include someone that will potentially get drunk and get behind the wheel of a car. Now I am not advocating drinking and driving. I don't even drink myself except for the odd drink once in a while or a hot chocolate with Bailey's before bed

Now Im not one for drama but I think this is really messed up and quit childish.... Well as we all know it's 9-11. And now for most people it just feels like another day. If you all remember America was getting real complacent before 9-11. For a while after that day this country was truly in a heightened state of alert. From what i've noticed of late is that everybody seems to be getting a complacent attitude again. The Last Call
One of the Ball brothers, of the canning jar empire, had a paralyzing fear of being buried alive. He went as far as having a telephone installed in the tomb so he could call out if he should ever find himself in this predicament. A few days after he died, the family began to grow concerned after repeated attempts to reach his wife proved unsuccessful. They call the house but found that the phone line was continuously busy, so they decided to go over and make sure that everything was ok. Upon entering the home, they found her dead on the floor, clutching the phone with a look of sheer terror frozen on her face. Got up this morning and made myself go to church. I thought at first about staying at home but what better place to be when you are alone? Among other people and the house of the Lord. It is there and there only that I feel loved. (besides God's love) And yet, I come home to ugly messages from ex. disprespecting me. I Really Do Not Like This Hacker I Had
Im so frustrated and pissed off. That hacker destroyed so much on my pc. 160 GIGs of information, pics, music, etc... GONE. 8 years of stuff on there and all because he was pissed off that I wouldn't go nude in front of the cam! And when he turned on my cam he seen the police. You would think that people would have more to do than to destroy what people do. A spoiled brat! I don't even know who he was/is. He hacked my pc. demanded I strip or he would destroy my pc. I refused. He played around shutting off my pc etc. I called the police. When they got here, I turned internet back on and the hacker turned on my cam to see the police and then destroyed my hard drives or disabled my operating system. Yes, I am protected now with Linux. The Hardest Part!
I had said in past entries that I was gonna withdraw from school because of my condition and that future treatments are gonna be more intense than the ones I have already had. Today, I started the process of withdrawing from my classes. The procedure is to get each professor to sign the form saying your dropping their class, write a letter to the Dean stating I am taking medical leave and then get my doctor to also send a letter. Sound easy? Actually, it's not as simple as it sounds, and I discovered that today. They say that the hardest thing to do in life is to say goodbye to them. Facing 4 or 5 professors I can do, but what happens when you also have to tell your now-former classmates what is going on? This was hard on me! Most of the people in my Social Work class have built friendships with me or have asked what is wrong with me. My professor asked me what should she tell them. I was heartbroken, but I said I would face them myself - I'd rather they hear it from me.

Feeling Whole
I am starting to finally feel whole again. It has been a long time since i have felt this way. I met a great man who treats me the way that ive always wanted to be treated. I have noticed alot the past few years all the retail chains are bringing out christmas stuff earlier and earlier... That really gets to me.. What ever happened to doing the tree on Thanksgiving night or withina efw days after thanksgiving.. Heck even Halloween wasn't over and some storeshad Christmas things out and ready for display. Has America become so lame that all anyone can worry about is the almigty dollar?? For a country so set on "tradition" it sure has gone to hell in a hand basket. SOciety in my opinion has put too much pressure on ppl and the rich seem to stay rich and the poor remain poor because the rich are willing to pay outragous prices for something they could get at the local walmart for half the price, and just as good of quality. It's amazing how one little holiday can make some people happy while others are pissed off. Most view this time of the season as the birth of Christ. When in fact it belongs to the pagans. I've heard it called, Winter Solstice, Yule Tide, & I'm sure there are other names for it. As time has passed we have melded some of the traditions of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa together. But still there are those that feel they are being overlooked or slighted. Some feel that the word "Christmas" is offensive while others take no offense at all. This is the time when there should be peace and love towards your fellow man. When families & friends come together and share. This is not the time to argue that the Menorah is shorter then the Christmas Tree; The Nativity is offensive because it's all white and not some other color. That we should P.C. I started drinking miller high life the night before, hung out with tim and sam, then drank some icehouse, went to bed, woke up, smoked some pot, my ghetto neighbors got kicked out of their apartment, my country singer neighbor gave me his old couch so now i have two couches, went to my mom's house and she took me to the olive garden which was fucking amazing, i ate the fuck out of everything at the olive garden and ordered a $9.25 glass of wine, went and hung out at the o-house with liz, drank a budweiser, 3 bud lights, and a shot of the 3 wise men, left and picked up sam, drank one of those big bottles of smirnoff ice, liz came over, and then i fell asleep with liz in my bed. Didn't get laid on my birthday like I've been so superstitious about, but i still slept next to a woman. All in all it was an amazing day.

Friday Morning
Yesterday was pretty rough. I drove to the store, which is about a 7 minute drive, and boy was that a mistake! I went in for a couple of things, and by the time I got out I was in some serious pain. I had to get someone to come up and drive my car home. I went straight to bed with the ice pack and felt better after a little nap. Around 8:30pm there was a fire call. Child Support
This is kinda in a reponse to mumm about if it's greedy to want all you can get from child support. In a general perspective, yes, the less you have to do the better the child's taken care of (in some cases). I could do alot better in support of 2 of my kids, but they are taken care of. The other 2 I've been paying about 80% of my paycheck to, and for a while I had to still help the mother with cash, buy clothes, food, and for a while had the kids 4-5 days of the week. DCF finally caught on to what the food stamps and child support went to and took the kids, but I'm in a place that I can't have the kids because I couldn't afford my own place and have to worry about another state catching up to me because I didn't have enough money left over to pay the other child support. My recent ex has been real supportive over the situation, and I help when I can which isn't much, and she probably needed it the most. At least she doesn't quit trying to make an income when support starts comin

Why Does Disasters Always Hit Me?

Pneumonia
I currently have pneumonia, it started with a cold a week ago when I got back from London. I was admitted to hospital on Wednesday night straight after seeing my doctor. Luckily for me the antibiotics that they administered to me via a drip worked quickly. Within hours I was moved to a different bed and by Friday I was staying on my third different ward. I could hardly say that I enjoyed my time but at least I only had to stay three nights in hospital. I had been told that I would probably have to wait until Monday to be allowed to go home. Our hospitals only seem to work five days a week! My consultant on Friday morning had stated that I could probably be able to go home on Saturday if I was able to improve using oral antibiotics. A few nights ago my daughter who just turned 21 called me, very nervous about her first business trip. It would be her first trip on company business, and her first meeting with corporate types and she was nervous. She knew I used to do that on a weekly basis and had even accompanied me to a meeting when I chaired a group of scientists in ASTM, and wanted some pointers. So tonight she called me to tell me all about it and it sounded like it went smooth for her. She also said they ate at a place that had Yuengling on tap and had to try it! Liam Is Learning!
Liam is progressing so quickly all of a sudden. When he first came back to the states, he would not eat solid food even though he was 14 months old. He violently shook his head and shoved spoons away. When he first opened his mouth for a spoon two months later, we were in tears. But even after that, the battles went on. Next it was getting him to chew, which he has down now as well. But up until today, sippy cups were hell in a handbasket. He wanted bottle bottle and could contourt his body away from the cup. But this morning during speech therapy we filled his new set of sippy cups with Mandarin Orange Propel and this was the result.

it seem like when you go to the hospital they dont care about any one my Mother just past away last week. the nurseing home sent her to the ER cuz she was throwing up blood but the doctor said it was just choclate with out testing her the nurseing home fought with the ER doctor telling him that she has not ate much in the last 2 days but yet the ER doctor forced the nurseing home to take my Mother back to the home and the next day she was not responeingso the nurseing home again sent her back to the ER where she coded 2 times in 24 hours and by friday they said there was nothing they could do for her but they never told us what the cause of death was and I'm trying to fight for my Mother but thank due to our Goverment they have made it hard to fight for justace so think about it the next time you go to the hospital and what the doctors say is it BS or do you think they have any clue or humanity for anyone think about it
