Boy Scout Camp 2007
I went to Boy Scout summer camp from July 1 to 7 at Camp Tapico, which is between Grayling and Kalkaska. This was my eighth year there… This was the first year I went with the troop that my son and I joined last year. We’ve never been camping with them before. The trip to camp was uneventful. My son watched a dvd on his portable (which stays in the car at camp, btw) and the boy who rode with us read a book on computer programming. The week went by quickly, but here are a couple of high and low lights: 1. A boy who was not supposed to go without a parent was somehow allowed to go and disrupted camp most of the week until his dad got there. And once dad got there, he still created problems, just not a many… 2. We only had moderate rain ONCE while I was at camp. The only time to date I've ordered from Records International is to get Altarus' recording of Sorabji's second piano sonata (an earlier, less characteristic work, somewhat longer- though still only about an hour, unlike some works of his - but lacking his greater feeling for form in later works, I think... still, enjoyable.)

So here are my thoughts about the American Idol Top 10.(First a note about Gwen Stephani: her stage persona seems to have nothing to do with the real Gwen. When she was interviewed and talking to the contestants, she seemed very down to earth, sweet, reserved and just darling. On stage, she jumps around with jerky movements, dresses very strangely, and her hair is always a bit out there -- plus her music is quite unique. I really liked her down to earth personality.)1. Well, bringing my weekend to a close, back to work at 5:30 in the morning, may not be on much this week with both jobs going to full time I expect. Starting Something New
I have been gone a while from here but am back now. While I was away I started doing a different type of Vandoodle. I started doing the stippling. It gives them more depth. Vacation, Day Three
Written while on vacation and without internet. Monday, August 6 I started reading Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold today. It's a book I'd always intended to read, but the subject matter was so very sad that I feared my empathy would overwhelm my appreciation for the writing. I am quickly immersed, though, and find that despite the sad subject matter, it is an engrossing, beautifully written tale. Madisyn Is Sick..

I'm sitting here playing around on fubar all day, right...My cell phone rings. It's my ex. The one that just left me a couple weeks ago. Telling me that in November he's going to have a house and car and all the works and that he wants me to think about it, and decide if I want to go back to him and move me and my son up to where he is. In the year and some that we were together, he probably worked a total of 7 or 8 months. He got bad into drugs, and made the worst of friends. He's an alcoholic. Yea, baby! I've noticed over the little bit of time of hanging out here that everyone either rates u a 10 or nothing at all. Not that i mind all the tens, but what i want to know is why? Chicken Casserole With Noodels
This is an old family recipe, that I have served over and over. After every get together, I am asked for the recipe. INGREDIENTS: * 2 chickens, cut and shredded (I use boneless chicken breasts) * 1 cup chopped onion * 1 cup chopped celery * 1 cup chopped green bell peppers * 2 T. Butter * 1 (10 oz) pkg. noodles or fettuccine, cooked & drained * 1 tsp. garlic salt * 1 can (4oz) mushroom pieces, drain * 1 can cream mushroom soup * 1 can cream chicken soup * 1 cup sour cream * 1 small jar pimento, chopped * 1 (8oz) can sliced water chestnuts * 2 cups shredded cheese (I use more as we like cheesy things) PREPARATION: Cook chicken and shred. Sauté veggies, in butter. Cook noodles and drain. Mix all together in casserole, reserving a little cheese for topping, if desired. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until hot through and cheese is melted.Top with more cheese and continue to cook for a few minutes, until cheese is

What A Great Place To Visit
Well I just got home from our trip to The Falls/Canada. What a great time we had. The falls are beautiful. We rode the Maid of the Mist boat, Walked the Cave of the Wind (this is totally awsome) visited the aquarium Just to name a few of the things we did. We got there Thursday afternoon, and just for the hell of it decided to hit the casino right across the street! (I love to play the slots). Seneca Niagara was the casino. I seen this wheel of fortune slot machine a penny (1 cent) slot too boot and decided what the hell... LMFAO Needless to say I walked away with $519.00 off this PENNY SLOT!!! I can still remember when those twin towers fell......
