Chicken In Citrus Escabeche Sauce (pollo En Escabeche De Frutas Citricas)
INGREDIENTS: 2 pounds boneless chicken breast, cut into pieces and lightly flattened with a meat mallet Adobo to taste 3/4 cup olive oil 1 medium red onion, sliced 1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips 3 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped juice of 2 oranges, 2 limes, and 2 lemons 3 tablespoons honey 3 tablespoons capers for garnish 1 Season the chicken with the adobo. Heat 1/4 cup of the oil in a large skillet and saute the chicken over medium-high heat until lightly browned. Let it cool to room temperature on a serving plater. In another pan, heat 1/4 cup of the oil and saute the onion, pepper, and garlic until soft. Add the onion mixture to the chicken. Combine the juices, remaining 1/4 cup oil, and honey. Pour over the chicken and toss. Garnish with capers.

Today, Im gonna bitch about a subject that lots of people seem to timid to talk about. Racism. Ya know, I realize that racism exists. But to be quite honest, Im tired of being labeled as a racist just because Im a straight white southern male. I dont care WHAT color you are. Trash is trash is trash. Now personally, I think everyone has some racially motivated feelings. Whether its who they prefer to hang out with, who they prefer to live around, who they prefer to date, etc. But lets be perfectly honest, can you honestly not see that being REQUIRED to hire someone based not on qualifications but on skin tone is racist in and of itself. It Finally Happened!!
YAY!!!! It finally happened I leveled up last nigth. Took me about 3 and half weeks. But finally with the help of alot of you I made it. Thank you sooooooo much from the bottom of my heart!!!! You guys rock! Atleast I can say this time it happened from all the rates, fans, and adds. About three of my level ups actaully happened from taking the surveys. The Onocoligist is not giving him long..Lymphatic Cancer is the Most Progressive and we are about 100 miles behind it as of Yesterday... I Hate Second Shift Work
And soon I will be returning to it. I really need to find another job. I can't do this another series of months. I have a life and don't want it to be compromised for work (even though i need it to pay bills). I gotta find some other place to work. Some place that pays more than where i work now. A nice 8$ an hour job would be nice 40 hours a week @ $320 a week and $640 bi-weekly. It will be $1280 each month. I can use that to pay a lot of bills and old debts and every other thing I need to pay after rent and whatnot. I really need to quit this and find a new one. I need some place else. I will miss the people i work with but money comes first in a situation like this. Besides I want to buy a car and start investing not to mention I want to go back to school and start paying for classes.

Safety And Security
It's 7am. I slept for about 3.5 hours last night and it felt like the longest 3.5 hours in a long time. Meaning, I actually SLEPT. No tossing, turning, waking up every hour. When your used to sleeping next to somebody for about 5 years, it really changes your sleeping habits, well did for me anyways. It has to do with security, feeling safe. (not only that but I slept next to one of the cuddliest men I have ever met) It was.... comfortable. For almost a year now I have been dealing with going to sleep and waking up every hour or so and as time as moved on, "sleep" is a word I couldnt partake in. People think I'm lazy because I don't wake up until noon.... or so, but they have to understand I'm not sleeping for 10 hours, I'm TRYING to sleep for 8 and barely get that lol. I can say I'm in a good mood this morning and that never happens either. I usually get outta bed tired and restless..... It's gonna be a good day, my friend, yes it will. :)

How Do We Match Up?

My Wife
Things are getting a little out of hand around my house in that my wife doesn't seem to want to take any responsibility toward helping with the bills. I grant you she is 34 years younger than me and she is very imature but she want all the crap we have but is screwing around instead of helping like she should. Jitters
School starts again tomorrow, and I'm more nervous than when I started back in March-- and then I didn't even know anything about my kid! I'm starting with a small knowledge base this time, and my anxiety's acting up. At least with my last kid, he was on the very low key end of the autism spectrum, and I'd worked with kids with autism before. This little guy is completely new to me in about every aspect. He's also nonverbal, but doesn't use pictographs. If he doesn't like something, he bites and head-butts. New to me, I'm used to screaming and self-abusive behaviors. And his mom is going to be there tomorrow. I wouldn't mind so much except that being under observation is very very stressful to me. Bleh. In any case, tomorrow will be fun with 13 kids in the class, 9 of which are completely new to us. I start my classes Thursday, and Tuesday I start my training for the respit program. Should be a good time, and I turn 23 Monday :)

Fillet Of Sole- French Style
Delicately flavored sole cooked in white wine and cream makes a classic fish dish for two. I Guess It's Safe To Say I'm Here
Ok, I know, I have been neglecting my friends on here butthis has been about the best reason, and the weirdest thing to have to deal with for once... Now, most of my friends on here know that when I get sick, its normally a touch and go sort of thing. Well, I am saying that my sinuses are going to be on strike, and don't want to come back. I have been in so much pain from the pressure and drainage of my sinuses, that I finally convinced my family doctor on Monday SOMETHING'S WRONG....he saw that from the x-rays he did, and so needless to say I am now on round 2 of antibiotics and not one but two nasal sprays. I almost had to argue about the fact I was NOT taking flonase again, until he agreed wtih me. So now I am still on two nasal sprays and antibiotics (for 21 days on antibiotics) to see if we can get the pressure/pain to stop. If not, then we are looking at having the sinuses cat scanned then not sure what to think next. SO, I am not ignoring my friends on here, I have just liter

Worcestershire sauce 1 C. catsup 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce 2 C. water 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce 1 onion, chopped Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place all above ingredients in heavy Dutch oven, cover and bake for 4 hours. Remove from oven and skim off fat, take out bones, gristle and fat. Shred meat with a fork and serve over hamburger buns. Yield: about 25 sandwiches

As the subject line says, Not so happy blog. I just found out last night, that a friend of mine named Mike Reily, aka "Angus" or "Faol the Elder" died. He had cancer. He also had heart problems in the past. I do not know all the details yet. But I do know that his cancer had been getting worse. I also found out that two weeks before the Kansas City Ren Fair, he found out that he had bleeding on the brain. Yet on the first day of Fair (1st weekend in Sept.) I am new to Fubar and wanted to say hello to everyone. I love to blog, and write journals and reflect stuff in general. I also write poems. I don't know if I'll blog much on here or not. We'll see. Silent Cries Gloomy sunsets and silent cries, my heart hurts on the inside. Rainy days and sad good byes, my friends have left my side. Weakened spirits start to die, broken hearts long for love. Well, everything is getting back to normal in our life. Bob did his steroids to stop his attack and now starts meds (shots) every other day for what could be the rest of his life. We're strong and I know no man whos stronger than him so Im sure everything will be ok. I wanna thank all my girls who have been there for us thru this all. Ive been taking a big break from the net, im always signed on, but not always here. It's About Time...

My Fucked Up Week
so, tuesday I left work early cause I was not feeling very good. Wednsday I called out cause I was still feeling ill. Thursday morning I woke up with an awful pain in my ribs on the right side. I had been getting this pain pretty often if I eat spicy or fatty foods the night before and it goes away with in an hour or so. This time...5 hours later I finally decided "Okay, Chris...Take me to the ER" Not even 30 mins of being at the hospital they were talking about taking my galbladder out. I went in for an ultrasound and sure enough I had 2 stones. one was lodged in one of the ducts connecting to my pancreaus. So, They moved me into a room and pumped me full of anti-biotics and I had surgury on friday. they let me come home on Saturday. normally you can be released the same day as surgury but my white blood count was still elevated and I was running a temp. besides that, they were worried about bleeding and had a drainiage tube out my side. Things are basically at a semi stand still with the doctor situations due to having 3 more weigh ins to go until my case goes to the insurance company. I guess I'll write a bit about clothes. I realized today when I got my new clothes (had to get an outfit for New Years as it was part of the bargain for a $ loan I got to help me through until I get my temporary disability. Thrifty me got 3 full outfits and a couple extra shirts for the price of 1 full outfit lmao. Clearance shopping is a good thing.). Anyway I got the clothes and tried them on. I realized then just how much I hate the clothes I've been stuck with for so long. I know I've realized before but when I put on the leggings they felt awesome, something I've not felt since I got too fat for normal clothes. I look good in them too. I prefer leggings and jeans but am (or I should say was as I have lost enough weight to get leggings)

I do not understand everyones problem with the need to constantly buy the new gadget... when it comes to recording/watching a movie, i am perfectly happy with the VHS.. most people started an expensive collection which is now worthless... at least offer people a considerably lower rate to trade in tapes for dvds of the same movie/content.... but so many suckers out there jump on the it's gotta be "new" and it must be "better" well, the VHS vs DVD came to my mind when i go to the local blockbuster to rent a flick... they do not offer VHS anymore at all.. they also do not offer full screen.. only wide screen... we're like rats in a cage and go for whatever they dangle in front of us... the VHS had less problems when playing... i could pop it in watch my movie and have it back between 5-7 days... but this DVD garbage.. i can honestly say i had to exchange a DVD once more than ten times, because each DVD was so scratched it wouldn't read the disc or just skip so much to a point

Apricot Mustard Glazed Pork Loin

Why is whenever it seems you finally have a relationship undercontrol, when you finally understand it, or think you do...it blows up. I'm engaged to a wonderful guy. in viewing the attack on me by two ladies i have discovered a few fake profiles may be used to build points and leveling up they were also use to attack me and my family/friends as they disagreed with them. during the gathering of data, i created a fake profile with no referrals the fake profile leveled up to 5 while gathering data. the several fakes of the two never gain any levels. if they are not fake why didnt gain any points. two profiles were deleted but not before one of these profiles attacked me then it was deleted right away. i traced that profile to crystal's referral another profile i found had a stolen picture on it from a profile that is 2 years old and still a new user. the newer profile was also used to attack me. in total i think i see six profiles between two profiles that are fake and one of those profiles may also be fake, the crystal one. cant be sure on that but possible dj mischief has 5 referrals all fake but one. maybe all
