Love Letter

I’m writing to you today to let you know
how very special you are to me.
I know you know it, but sometimes
I feel the need to tell you so.
You are the light that shines on my path
so that no matter what I have to face,
I know I will not face it alone.
Even though you are not here with me,
I know I carry your love and support in my heart.
Darlin, you are the wind that billows my sails
and keeps me going when the seas seem stagnant.
I know that if ever I feel overburdened and incapable, you will lift me up and I will be able to walk on. You are the air that I breathe, that has filled the void inside me, Though it seemed to take eternity to find you, and the distance still keeps me from your arms,I do not remember my heart without you.
