Life Issues
It's back! My internet troubles have returned. *sigh* It couldn't have come at a worse time, too. I'm crunching to get the work done on an online only class. Which means I have to steal my mother's computer when she's not home to do this stuff. I'm also crunching in other classes since finals are coming up. So I'm kind of stressing out, a lot. Work is also a pain. They cut my only shift that I was supposed to work again this week. The holiday sales are coming up, and I'm SO not looking forward to it. Fond Du Lac, Wis. (AP) -- Police responding to a complaint of loud noise have cited a Fond du Lac man for "rocking out" to the music of John Denver. A police who responded to the man's apartment last week could hear Denver's music through the door. The officer pounded on the door but the man didn't answer. Finally the officer found out the man's name from a neighbor and called to him, bringing the man to the door. When asked why he had the music so loud, the man said he was "rocking out." The Reporter newspaper in Fond du Lac reported that the 42-year-old was cited for unnecessary loud noise. The ticket could result in a fine of about $210. So I'm shamelessly stealing an idea from ZombieMonkey and blogging a list and some quick thoughts on all the books I've been reading lately. The Bright of the Sky - Kay Kenyon This is the first book in a series, called "The Entire and the Rose." The high point of the novel was definitely the world-building in this one. Kenyon has created a really interesting universe-next-door, literally; most of the novel takes place in the Entire, a starfish-shaped universe that touches ours in a few locations. The societies and peoples are very well developed and interesting, and I'm always a sucker for stories involving courtly bureaucracies and intrigue. New Doctor!
So, as some folks might know, I found a new doctor last week. I had my appt with him today, as he is a primary care doc that also deals in internal medicine. I figured this might be able to allow me only one doctor for my health issues. Well, he looked at my medical records and was floored. It was basically too complex of a group of problems for him to understand fully. He told me it was beyond his limited knowledge in gastroenterology. He told me I need a specialist to receive proper care. Nice thing was he was honest and did not charge me for the visit. So now I'm back to square one in getting help again. I found a group of digestive specialists in Valparaiso, about 20 miles away. Hopefully, I can get in there soon, and will call them first thing in the morning. **EDIT** Got in touch with new clinic....next available appt. is June 16th.... :( This is not cool at all.

I Haz The Sad
I'm having a rough time recently...for multiple reason, but lets just focus on one for right now. My cat, Bandit, has been sick for the past week or so. I took him to the vet a couple days ago, since he wasn't eating, and it is quite apparent. They found some prety heavy amounts of plaque buildup and a bit of infections in his gums. Nothing too serious, so they gave me some meds to give him, and told me they would help a bunch. Vet said he didn't want to automatically run the gambit of tests and run a bill up for me, as everything else checked out. Fast forward about 48 hours later or so. I have only successfully given him one pill since then. Every time I have given him pills, he has turned around and vomitted shortly after. Not sure how he can get better if I can't get him to take the meds. He turns 12 this April as we got him shortly after we got married. I'm not sure what to do. :(
