Iconic Daredevil Evel Knievel Dies at 69 By MITCH STACY – 58 minutes ago CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Evel Knievel, the red-white-and-blue-spangled motorcycle daredevil whose jumps over crazy obstacles including Greyhound buses, live sharks and Idaho's Snake River Canyon made him an international icon in the 1970s, died Friday. He was 69. Knievel's death was confirmed by his granddaughter, Krysten Knievel. He had been in failing health for years, suffering from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable condition that scarred his lungs. Knievel had undergone a liver transplant in 1999 after nearly dying of hepatitis C, likely contracted through a blood transfusion after one of his bone-shattering spills. Peanut Butter Cookies Sealed With A Kiss
RECIPE INGREDIENTS: 2/3 cup smooth peanut butter 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 large eggs 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt Sugar (for coating cookies) 40 Hershey's Kisses 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, beat the peanut butter, butter and brown sugar on medium speed until combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. On low speed, blend in the flour and salt. 2. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in the sugar to coat lightly. Place on ungreased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. 3. Move the cookies from the baking sheets to a wire rack and immediately place an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss on the center of each cookie, pressing down so that the cookie cracks a little bit around the edge. 4. Studded with nuts and nonpareils, these eye-catching cookies look and taste like gems. RECIPE INGREDIENTS: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup light brown sugar 2 egg yolks 2 cups all-purpose flour Chopped nuts, colored sugars and nonpareils Raspberry jelly or chocolate frosting 1. Roll the dough into balls and coat with nuts, colored sugar and nonpareils. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and make a well in the center of each cookie. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you all know I am still here. I dont get on as often as i used to due to some complications. I am currently going through a nasty divorce and the hearing is on Dec 17th. I am not going to go into detail as the internet is not the place. Some of you are aware of what is happening and i Thank you all for your support. You know who you are. Right now I am focusing on getting my daughter her to Alabama to be with me for Christmas. We have never had a Christmas apart from each other. So that is what i am focused on right now. If i do not reply to messages and mail etc it is not because i am being ignorant or anything like that but my daughter comes first in this world. I hope that each and everyone of you are well and not getting too stressed with the holiday season. This is another one of those meals that is so tasty and so impressive, yet so easy to pull together. It works really well in the warmer months, so don't think twice about making this dish for your next Summer meal! Ingredients * Swordfish 1/2-3/4 lbs. swordfish * 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil * Salt and pepper to taste * Fattoush 1 whole wheat pita * * 2 scallions, halved lengthwise then sliced * * 1 big fat garlic clove (or 2 small ones), minced * * 1/2 an English cucumber, quartered and sliced * 1/2 pint cherry tomatoes, quartered * 1 green pepper, chopped * 1/3 cup chopped mint * 1/3 cup chopped parsley * Juice of 1/2 a lemon * 1/2 tsp. sumac * 3-4 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil * Salt and pepper to taste Directions Fattoush 1. BAR TAB ALERTS We changed some stuff up this weekend. when you post a profile/mumm/blog comment, it generates an alert to your friends saying you posted a comment to whatever page it was. when you vote on a mumm, it generates an alert to your friends saying you voted on mum xyz. There is another option to the profile settings page that will let you disable these notifications from being generated (ie: your friends wont get the new alerts) when you do stuff. however, the option is only available for vip's. All users have the ability to decide what you want to see in your bar tab. The options are in your profile settings. Some of you will love it and some of you will hate it. After 12 years working at the same site I had to ask for a transfer today. Preheat to 400 F. Cook 20 jumbo shells in large pot in lightly salted water. Stir occasionally until tender, but firm, 10-12 minutes. Drain. Stir together ricotta cheese, egg yolk, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup finely chopped ham, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper in medium bowl. Spoon 1 1/2 T. in each shell. Do Not Overfill. Spread 1/4 cup of spaghetti sauce in 12x9x2″ glass baking dish or casserole. Arrange shells in single layer. Top with rest of sauce. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup more

Well today was xmas! I have a 2 yr old and a 2 month old and they both made out like little bandits! I got new pajamas, robe and slippers and hubby got new work boots. I find as I get older and my ideals, morals, and ethics seem to be ever changing that I find myself surrounded by people who I thought were nothing like me. Always there for everyone, so caring, understanding, and listening...accepting of them yet thinking in my mind, "what the hell is wrong with you?!?!" Just Life
Well, I got a DUI in July of 2007 and I'm finally getting my DL back after it being suspended for 6 months with limited privileges. Thank God! And my mom is gonna help me with getting a new vehicle since the one I had isn't worth fixing up. Things are finally starting to look up. I gotta find a new job though because I'm only working 3 nights a week at the restaurant I'm serving at now, but I don't want to find another job and quit the one I have now until my DL thing is done and I have a new vehicle.

Update Monday Afternoon
Bad news from the doc. He's not sure what is causing it, but he did mention the three options I listed in an earlier blog. I have to make appointments for a battery of tests and a surgery. I'm so frustrated and disgusted with this that I feel like saying, "yank it all out". I don't need it anyway. LOL I have no health insurance because I can't afford it. This is going to be interesting trying to pay off this bill! I'm off to the chiropractor to have my back adjusted. I've been needing it done for a while. The one person i never thought would ever put me second best has and what a horrible feeling it is...I look back and remember the days when nothing stood between us, the days where anything could be going on and it didnt stop the fact that i was important enough to set it to the side so we could have time together. made with shrimp, rice, spices, and tomatoes. INGREDIENTS: * 1 c coarse chopped yellow onion * 2 md garlic cloves peeled and minced * 1 c chopped sweet green pepper * 3/4 c finely diced celery * 4 tb bacon drippings * 3 tb minced parsley * 6 oz smoked ham cut in 3/8-in cubes * 1 lg bay leaf; crumbled * 1/2 ts crumbled leaf thyme * 1/4 ts cayenne pepper * 1 1/2 ts salt (or to taste) * 1 cn tomatoes (1 lb, 14-oz) * 1 cn tomato sauce (8 oz) * 1 3/4 c cold water * 1 3/4 c uncooked converted rice * 1 1/2 lb medium shrimp, raw, shelled, deveined PREPARATION: Set a large kettle -- not iron -- over moderate heat. 40 min 10 min prep Change to: servings US Metric 1 cup green peppers, chopped 1/2 cup onions, chopped 1 cup celery, chopped 1 cup crabmeat 1 cup baby shrimp 1 cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon salt pepper soft breadcrumbs butter paprika lemon wedges 1. Valentine's Cookies
1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1/4 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon vanilla Approximately 3 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder Icing, recipe follows Silver balls Gold balls Icing: 2 tablespoons egg whites* 2 cups powdered sugar Red food coloring Cream the butter. Add the sugar and mix well. Add the egg, milk and vanilla and combine. Sift together 1 cup of the flour with the baking powder and mix it into the batter. Add some or all of the additional flour depending on how much the dough can handle. Form into a disk, cover in plastic and chill in the refrigerator at least 2 hours. Roll out on a lightly floured surface about 1/4-inch thick. Cut out hearts with various sized cookie cutters and place on a greased sheet pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes until very light golden brown. Let cool on the pan. Icing: Whisk together the egg whites and powdered sugar to form a slightly loose icing. Dad's Skin Graft
The side-effects of the radiation struck again. The doctor and my mom and I hoped that this would not be a problem with Dad's healing up but it was. You see the surgery required that Dad's throat be opened up and then he had to heal from the wound. When he had his radiation that is were all the radiation was aimed. When the doctor started to take out the stitches he noticed the Dad was leaking an abnormal amount of fluid from the middle of his wound and it would not stop, so the doctor decided to do a skin graft over the whole incision to make sure that it would heal correctly. The doctor took muscle and skin from my dad's left shoulder and side area and started the procedure. When he got in to the wound my dad had a huge hole in the middle of the original incision. He had to rebuild some of the things that he had done in the first procedure. He said that it was a mess in there and if he had not given dad the skin graft he never would have healed on his own. For the past 2 weeks I haven't been able to move much at all. I have spent most my time laying in bed (without the fun benefits). I have this pain in my back that goes down my left leg. REALLY SUX! I just found out today that my back problems maybe a herniated disc....NOT cool. They aren't sure yet, but I have to get the MRI soon and find out. If it is they aren't sure if I will get surgery or not but they said I probably will since I can't move much. 2 boxes (10 oz. each) frozen puff pastry shells 3 tablespoons melted butter Cinnamon sugar * 1 can (30 oz.) LIBBY'S Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix 1 box (3.4 oz.) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed [LIBBY'S Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix] LIBBY'S Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix PREHEAT oven to 400° F. PLACE pastry shells on baking sheet. Brush tops with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Bake according to package directions. Cool to room temperature. Remove tops and reserve for garnish. R.i.p Brad
Bradly P. Holmes of Grove City, PA has lost his battle for life, when 75% of his body was burned for his heroic act. Last week, a blaze in an apartment in my area started over a hair dryer. Patty Smith rushed in the apartment to save her dog, when a backdraft made the whole house explode. Our wonderful firefighters were there to keep the fire under control. Scott King of Grove City was severely burned, but had recovered. Brad Holmes was being burned alive, when flown by lifeflight to Pittsburgh Allegheny hospital. The family were with him with his last days of life. Please pray for this wonderful family. Heaven has a new Angel... Bradly Holmes. May you rest in peace! (Brad is on the right in the sunglasses)

How Can This Be!
I'm blessed to be the father of three angels who I love very much! So this recent notification that ANOTHER LEVEL THREE SEX OFFENDER has taken residence in my neighborhood has me VERY concerned. Now I BELIEVE WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT to live where we like or can afford but this will make the "SIXTH" time that a KNOWN sex offender, regardless of their level, has moved into this neighborhood which is heavily populated with minors ranging from newborns up into high schoolers. I'm Moving
We are moving to Tennessee! Jason was offered a job at N.F.S and he has accepted. He starts working down there March 24th. The job is in Unicoi County: Erwin, TN that's near Bristol. We are very excited about it. I dread moving away from my family and friends but he is going to be making good money and good benefits. On the plus side, Erwin is BEAUTIFUL! And it's a small friendly town like where I grew up. We are going down next week as a family to check things out and hopefully get started finding a house. We hope to buy instead of rent. Jason also needs to find a place to stay temporally until we figure out where we'll live and if we'll buy or rent. The kids and I will stay here in Ohio until William finishes Kindergarten. I hate to make him switch schools so close to the end of the school year. It's going to be very difficult to get everything worked out. I never imagined moving so far so fast. My head is literally spining I swear!

The alarm clock woke me from my peaceful slumber at noon, so I got up and checked my email. Marc had emailed me before he went to work about Comic-Con press registration problems. Please keep my brother-in--law and sister in prayer. He is 46 years old, and 3 weeks ago had 2 "significant" strokes. His speech and cognizant faculties were only slightly impacted. He did, however, suffer severe impairment of his gross and fine motor skills on his right side. They attribute it to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and stress. They say that whatever he is getting back will be within 6 months. Thank you for your prayers.

How Do I Do It?
It takes a little work, and a lot of luck. First of all, you may request that I screen capture something, but if it has the scroll across the top, I make no promises. The ones I do unsolicited (for those of you in Rio Linda that means, you didn't ask for them) I first must see you scrolling across the top. When I click on it, more times than not, when your page opens, you are still scrolling on top. I use an old photo editing software, LView Pro 1.D2/32-bit for Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5 or Newer, Windows 3.1 with Win32's 1.30 or newer. Sure there are newer ones that are probably better, but for what I do, it's simple and does the job. With this program, under the "Edit" pulldown menu, there is an option called "Capture" where I can sample the entire desktop, or whatever window is on top. When I click it, there is a few second delay, so I put my mouse over the scrolling pic across the top to make it open. It captures the window of your main page with you scro

Pregnant!
Things have slowly begun to look up in so many ways and All I know is that I am happy. I found out a few weeks ago that I am pregnant and am looking to be giving birth around the end of December to the beginning of January. I am excited and hopefully all works out. I may also be having twins but wont know till I can get an updated ultrasound. I just pray that I can get through this pregnancy without any complications. So it all depends upon the care of myself for the sake of the kids! May the lord and lady be with me through this journey!
