A snow covered path unwinds
Through a glen of snow laden trees
Evergreens seen with drooping boughs
Feeling the gentle tug of a cold winter breeze
No other steps along this path taken
My feet leaving impressions behind
Unsure of where this path of nature will take me
Or as I travel along it what I will find
A turn I take as my ears listen
The air filled with nature’s beautiful song
My thoughts drift through my memories
With each passing step I move slowly along
The sun reflects of the pure white blanket
Lighting my way along this path this day
I wonder why no others have traveled it
Lonely through the woods it winds its way
Suddenly voices I hear coming to me
My eyes opening to another winter day
I smile as my walk is now completed
I Watch as my dream fades away
I wonder where this trail truly starts
Will one day I find it as I travel along
Knowing it will guide me safely now
Upon this trail I know I will belong
