Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Transmissions Are Heavy
so today i was taking a transmission out of an F150 to replace the clutch in it. i was supporting it, keeping it stable while the guy i was workin with was lowerin it down on the jack. the jack gave way, and i was stuck there basically catching a 350lb transmission. i strained/sprained every muscle in my back, my acl/knees, my right ankle, my biceps, triceps, pecs and delts, and my spine.

Once upon a time there was this really cool site called lostcherry. It was black and red. Had some cherries in the top corner and was just a place to vent steam. Grandpa Isnt Doing To Well
I was on my way in to odessa to see my friend. She's in the hospital because she was having chest pains. Well I didnt make it. It is 5:30 pm thanksgiving day. The roommate from hell won't be home for 3 more hours. YEAH!! The pie is cooling, the jello relish is made and chilling, the turkey is in the oven. The rolls are rising on the stove to be put in the oven just before dinner. I have time for a quick trip to the store for sodas and I get to relax. Christmas is hectic and spent with family I barely talk to. It has been a very bad year physically and emotionally. There is no spare money for anything and not even for some necessities. Where did I leave off??? I think that I had just been diagnosed and got such a caring response from my (adoptive) Mother. Well now after a few years I met my husband, got married and started with my first child. We moved to Florida...big mistake as we found out later. Well, I suppose for this to make sense to anyone I have to at least tell you a little background. I'm 37 years old and currently drive truck. I spent 10 years cooped up in a factory in the lower Michigan area, and although I made fantastic money, I was basically a lemming until one morning it was announced that I, and 44,999 employees were going to be jobless. Fun times huh. Well, long story short, 14 months later I find myself driving truck across this beautiful country. I've seen so many amazing sights over this last year, and figured I'd just start keeping a little record of some of the things I get to witness, hope you all enjoy them. I'm currently sitting in Olympia WA. A state that I lately have begun to call, " the Island we call WA" There is so much water that some of the overhead freeway signs are halfway submerged. This is of course according to the local news and not my personal eye-witness account. Well thats it for now, time to roll.

My Two Homes
My Two Homes I have never felt so lucky as I do now. I came home to see the hill that our apartment is set into, colors somber, compared to the colors at the home I just came from. These colors muted still beautiful with splashes of bright yellow and vibrant reds, accented by the quiet deep greens of the soft woods that never loose their foliage. New Supermarket
The new supermarket near our house has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain. When you approach the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and the scent of fresh hay fills the air. When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying. The veggie department features the smell of fresh buttered corn. I don't buy toilet paper there any more.

Transitional Christmas
I have been in Indianapolis a little over a year, this past August. My first Christmas here didn't really count because I was still settling into my surroundings. This is the first one, where I had time enough to get ready. In the last year, I succeeded in landing gainfull employment. A job, whereby I could forge a starting point in order to better my living arangements. Better apartment, drivers licence, car, girlfriend, ect. But that will come to fruition in the upcoming year. New Years Eve
Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve..and didn't get wasted. I did. Went skiing..and only fell once. LOL. Was pretty fun. My brother n law and sis n law went.. and didn't get much skiing done. She got sick the instant she got on the hill.. I think from fear. Was her 3rd time. Such a shame,,when she just spent 110 on her ski boots.. 14dollars on socks.. 20 on ski pants..etc. Brother n law.. he had problems with his skis.. so he didn't ski much either. We ended up going back to there place when the place closed. Ate pizza and hung out a little. Now, I am surviving on 4 hours of sleep and up and ready to go to work...Ughhh. News 11 is told investigators found human growth hormone and two syringes inside the bar. Cleansing Of My Home....
No, nothing mystical... lol... Although, it might seem so daunting that I might have to find someone with mystic or mojo abilities to get it done... Hee hee.... This week I finally broke down and realized that, try as I might, I am just not going to be able to to store everything I need to in my 2-bedroom apartment that I have accumulated throughout the years (and have downsized from a 4-bedroom home to a 3-bedroom apartment and now, within the last couple of years, to the 2-bedroom apartment as I became an empty nester). As such, I finally broke down and paid for a storage unit to remove some items that I am trying to store in tubs. Thankfully, I have gone through tons of stuff and I have narrowed the stored items to about 24 tubs. Some things I am selling on eBay and Half.com as well under "devinetexan" in case you have a hankering for anything. :) I am just soooo tired of looking at these tubs. In the late afternoon I take a stroll along one of the trails stopping to watch the geese swim across the lake before heading back and getting ready for my evening. Two die in wreck in icy conditions on Western Kentucky Parkway 02:14 PM EST on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Police say two people have died after the car they were in slid off an icy highway in western Kentucky. It happened as a winter storm blanketed large portions of central and western Kentucky late Monday and early Tuesday, leaving a treacherous mix of snow and ice. State police say the car overturned early Tuesday after going off the road four miles east of Caneyville when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Police say 19-year-old Haley Scott of Muldraugh and 23-year-old Jennifer Crow of Smyrna, Ga., were thrown from the car. Neither was wearing a seat belt. Police say the driver of the vehicle was 23-year-old Charles Jason Hutchins of Hopkinsville. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt.

Update - - - Pain In The Neck
As some know, and my primary makes readily obvious. I am having some issues with my neck. Mainly bulging discs, yes I said discs, GET YOUR MIND out of the gutters ladies, as well as some bone spurs. To say it is painful is an understatement. More disconcerting is the fact my left arm is damn near completely numb all the time now. Days are good and bad. Functionality exists until around lunch then all hell breaks loose. I am not one of those who whines and complains, so please do not take it as such. Just take this as a warning. If I should happen to disappear, it is not from discontent or disenchantment but from lack of mobility or from being hospitalized. Until then, I'll be around but the decision is near and is to the point where surgery is on the only recourse.

My Best Friend
Three days ago, I was called by one of my best girl friend's hubbys and asked if I had any antibiotics for his wife, who was having severe pains in her lower abdomen, which seemed to travel from side to side. Felt gassy, but very painful. She also was getting the chills, and had a few other inconvenient symptoms reminiscient of a Urinary Tract Infection. I took them some stuff I'd had from when I had a UTI last year, and also told him to get her some Lactaid, in case it was lactose intolerance. Night before last, he had to take her to hospital...the pain was too severe. Found out that she should've been dead, in fact. She hadn't gone a doctor in about 20 years, she's 41 and for some reason never thought it necessary to go all this time, and they found she had diverticulitis - a common digestive disease particularly found in the large intestine. I had a bunch of Canadian dollars I needed to exchange, so I went to the currency exchange window at the local bank. Just a work of advise to everyone out there. If ur seeing someone and they get picked up for dui,and are out of state never post bail for them by a bails bondman, for one the bail is doubled,and u never know someone until u help them out. I did this for a person i was seeing,come to find out he had a drinking problem and still does, and he left me for somebody else he was seeing on the side, and i got a phone call saying he never appeared in court, so im sure u can figure the rest out.

How I'm Feeling
I have always relied on myself and for a long time I thought that's the only person I can rely on. I was wrong, relying on only myself only makes me lonely. I had a woman who would have given me everything of herself and I was too stupid to appreciate it and realize how special and wonderful that is. Well I've been on the other side and I know how it feels to give your all and not have it appreciated. Well, I just found out today that my younger two childrens father was hit by a truck.... This happened last Friday, and it almost killed him.... They first didnt think he was going to make it, well he pulled through and they thought he was going to be paralized for the rest of his life..... Well he called me today and I just found out about the whole thing..... He isn't paralized but he can not walk right now, he has to go through extensive physical therapy before he can walk again.... I'm Packed...almost.
All I have left is boxing up my new tv. I had to check it out before we got it all the way down to Georgia. It works great. The digital channel look phenomenal, but the analog channels are just so-so. I hope I have digital cable down there. Packing up the two vehicles is going to be a bitch tomorrow.
