I am a Democrat yes I am. But I am have my reasons for not voting for Obama. I've seen this before, half of it on TV, once in full but with passing attention. Now saw it with a friend but with almost full attention (and subtitled to help me catch the words... my hearing does not improve like a fine wine.) It's been quite awhile since I read all of (a prose translation of) the Odyssey, from which this film draws its inspiration; and less time but still awhile since I read even part of it. The relation of the movie to the original is very interesting... but then it manages in many ways, not just that one, to be, without being obscure or esoteric- a very deep film and very remarkable, I think... and I'll keep this brief for now and follow up some later time. You know, I think I'm going to redefine the line between friends and coworkers. I was at work and during lunch my coworkers and I played a game of tackle football (I work outside all day in jeans and a t-shirt). To play I took my hat off so as not to lose it. Observations On Pain!
How curious that I was once considered an "expert" in pain relief. Physical pain, primarily severe chronic pain, as opposed to severe acute pain! If you need an explanation of the difference, PM me! I mainly dealt with the severe chronic pain of cancer patients, either the pain of their disease process or the painful side effects of treatment. I was good at knowing what to do, what to ask for, to best relieve their pain. How amusing to think of that now! Emotional pain is much more difficult to deal with, much harder to relieve. I read a few blogs people have posted and listened to some people recently and its just amazing to me how people can really trick themselves into believing something that is not there. Whether it be that they are happy, content, everything i ok, or even what the recieve or don't from people. Maybe one day people will wake up to reality and see things for what they are and not what they rationalize or percieve them to be. We all believe in what we do but we should all take the time to understand things from different angles so we can have a more complete view. ..first of all, is "observationally" even a word?...well if it's not. It is now. That's what I tend to be and lend that trait onto others that do not possess such a keen eye to observe the actions and motives of others. Because in every action, or even non-action, there is a certain amount of truth spoken through both the written words and actions of the participants. For example, if a person acts sheeplishly around you or cannot make eye contact of some variety, it speaks volumes about either how they feel about you or how they feel about themselves. She drives out of the city each and every morning, away from the noise and craziness. It’s a bit far but it’s where she likes to run. No noise, no people, no cars, just peaceful countryside. Here's some observations that may help explain some things for you. I've learned them by experience. 1.) Very few people want, or even understand, a real relationship anymore. Many people confuse "friends with benefits" with a relationship. I've seen several "I want a relationship without attachment" ads recently. WTF? No such thing, and if you think so, you're misusing the word. 2.) Only younger women, say, 18-22, might possibly be capable of falling in love. After that, they go through a "I want to prove I don't need anyone stage", and they leave you to go back to school or pursue a career. After that, they decide "hey I'm close to 30, I need to get married and poop out babies". They'll get married to someone "successful", have 2.4 kids, then divorce him. I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - more commonly known as simply OCD. Whether provoked by boredom, the fact that it is nearly two in the morning, or a combination of both...I have decided to list here all of my "quirks", or "ticks" that are part of my particular case of OCD...the majority of which have to do with even numbers and general even-ness...I know, fun fun fun...lol.... 1. Observations...
I've realised some things... 1. You can do more situps if you go at a slow and steady pace. It's amazing how much easier it is if you take 5 second breaks in between. 2. No matter where I go in public places or social settings, I seek out military. There seems to be a bond I am unable to explain that separates me from civilians now. I feel they can't comprehend why I did what I did. They may never understand the sense of duty I feel. I can be in a bar alone and give me a few minutes and I will have found some service member to talk to. Immediately I am at ease, don't ask me why. 3. My boys are the reason I do it all. I could not get my vacation approved so I've been taking them on mini vacations on the only day I have. Sundays (when I can afford it) we leave out about 4:30am and head somewhere, anywhere no more than 5-6 hrs away. Last weekend I took them to Fort Worth to the zoo. ok here is my first blog....ok we all have seen a person stand some where and hold a sign asking for "help" right how many of you have ever stopped and talked to the person who is standing there see if he really needs help if he is alone or is there a family cause some times they might be trying to take care of a family...try listening too your heart and give them a chance you might be suprised at what you may find out. cause you never know when the tables might be turned and you need help with your family.....cause i do....i stand with a card board sign and ask people for help...i work mind you but through aa temp service and not that reguarly....we lost our home and i lost my job...we are living out of hotels..(ihow i have net access now) we pray for a better life my fiance is disabled in and out of hospitals...so if you see a man out there holding a card board sign give him a chance cause you might be his angel of mercy......and he will be your grace....

Obsessed With Twilight
I'm going to need to get a shot, to cure this unnatural obsession with Twilight. I went to see the movie Friday (premiere day) at 7:45pm. We got there at 7. The line started just outside the TWO theatres that was playing the movie and then circled around the huge building allllllll the way to where people were still buying for tickets. The line was for people who already had tickets. We were finally let in at 7:15 and it took forever to get in to the actual theatre. I sat the second seat from the aisle on the left in the row that right before the handicap seats. It was so god damn packed it was ridiculous. I went again today. Not so many people so I was able to get good seats. I really think it must be 1 in the box office this weekend. I'm not certain if it'll have staying power, but stephanie meyers can take my $17.75 for the two tickets and then rest assured that I will be purchasing the DVD as soon as it comes out. As an avid Twilight Saga fan who has read alllll of the books

Observations About The Bus
Well I was on the bus today...No real adventure today but more of an observation. 99.9% of the people on the bus look downtrodden and dejected. It's pretty sad actually.
