Okay. A little about me. I'm a British soldier currently working with the US Army in Tampa. Don't know very many people here and am looking for party and social invites so that I can get to know some people and have some fun while I am here. I have finally found something worthwhile on Fubar to spend my time dealing with and it's NOT A MAN!!! LMAO...thank the dam lord! What is "The Brain Food Diet" you ask? Simply a new idea I am proposing as a weight-loss technique :) I am not 100% percent sure what other lurking variables may (or may not) have contributed to my own personal weight-loss during the approximate 14-day period when I tried this technique myself, although I can assure you that I lost as many as 10 (count ‘em 10) pounds during said 14-day period :) "How does The Brain Food Diet work?" you ask? Simply repeat to yourself over and over again "Every day, in every way, I am getting thinner and thinner" ; repeat this to yourself over and over again for a gradually increasing number of times each day :) My theory is that the neural activity involved in repeating this mantra to yourself causes you to psychosomatically lose weight :) The Brain Food Diet may not work for you as well as it has worked for me, but it sure is worth the old college try, right? Reserve Enlistment
After talking with the recruiter today I am in for the rate of CE I get to go to an "A" School which is the primary schooling you get in a rate. Since I was prior enlisted no boot camp. Funny thing is I was enlisted before. But once again they need all my records that I already gave. Like HS diploma, birth certificate, SS card...? I get a 20k bonus after my 3 month school. Cool thing is I get my active duty pay and my BAQ VHA(Naval pay for housing and food). If the tax is 44% looking at 11.2k. If I was nuclear like the MEPS center offered(no thanks) It would be 60K. If I wanted to I could volunteer to go overseas. The group/rate I am now is called the SeaBees. When a base or camp is built the Seabees do it. I'd just have to requal on my .45 not a big deal. Getting 300 a month for not doing much than training is nice. The A school is like college times 10 7am-4pm M-F for 13 weeks. My first A school when I was active was 19 weeks. Difference is now I'm not an 18 year

Karma Is A Bitch With A Long Memory
Karma has a way of showing up just when you think there is no justice in this world. A recent financial crisis ment I had to actually beg for help with my utility bills. The roommate thinks that nothing concerns him unless it interferes with his computer or tv or his food. His car has been running very bad the last month. Since he spends all his spare cash for take out breakfast and lunch he has no savings. The starter went out last thursday. He doesn't get paid until the next thursday(tomorrow). He offered me gas money to take him to work so he wouldn't lose his job. I need his rent so I get up at 7:30 am to take him to work. We finally get the car towed to the local Firestone shop and find out that they do not use cheap rebuilt parts. The starter will be $153 plus labor and a $75 diagnostic fee. It still needs a tune up but at $373 for just the starter..(and that is the cheap one) the tune up will have to wait for the next pay day. And he is bitching because he doesn't have

Okay maybe i'm being spazorific, but i loved this movie! HOw so? Let me co0unt the ways... First off, how many movies do u find the leading heroine a freckleface? That waas just the tip of the iceburg. I really liked how it portrayed people's reactions to a traumatic emergency and the lengths ppl will go to "protect their own". Its a crazy thing to think about. I doubt that i would have managed to stay as level-headed as most of the survivors, but i know i'd at least die to protect my own. Just not very smart. lmao Favorite part: Freckleface asks "You really believe this plan will work?" He replies, "You do." Just hot My friend who took me brought up a good point tho. Glos 2007 Halloween Thoughts
Talk about stress.UUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!First we have to stay at my dads until we get another car which sucks cause we miss our house.Then the computer thats here crashed and we switched monitors temporairly until he gets his debugged.Ok thats bad enough seeing as how Im still in pain all the time.But yeasterday and today was over stressful and sad at the same time.My mom died in june as most everyone knows.Yeasterday was her 57th birthday and all I wanted to do was cry I miss her so bad.Today would have been Robbys sons birthday and he misses him.I hate seeing such sadness in his eyes it breaks my heart.I know that all I can do is be there for him.I wish I could do more though.

Great Night In Oklahoma
Another real 'rock star' night on the road for me in good ol' Muskogee, Oklahoma - first of all, you know it's bad when the hotel has you staying in a Motel 6. What's worse is when that Motel 6 is clear across town from the club, and you have to drive past 12 other, better hotels on the way. My Surgery

The other day a young person asked me how I felt about being old. I was taken aback, for I do not think of myself as old. Working On Some Songs
The guys in my band have been busy doing other things for a while so i have been using our studio for some of my pet projects. I have been writing and recording some songs that i dont really see my band using at all, mostly rock/country style tunes that have absolutely nothing in common with the House music i do with my band. I bought a new overdrive pedal made by TC Electronics in Denmark, its similar sounding but vastly superior to an Ibanez Tubescreamer, it adds a really nice texture to the sound of my Telecaster, i will probably be using this overdrive on every song i record from now on, it just sounds that good.

Why Won't It Get Better?
Ok... so I have come to the conclusion that I can not handle all this crap with my mom! I can't handle talking to her last night only to have her in tears the whole time we are on the phone. Spinach Pie - No Butter Version
I've always made spinach pie with loads of butter (about half a pound)brushed on delicate sheets of phyllo dough. It took forever to make and had tons of fat in it. Then I came accross a recipe that made spinach pie more like a cassarole, without all the butter. I increased the herbs added some mushrooms, and it tastes great! 2 large bags of prewashed baby spinach 1 medium onion or 3 large shallots, chopped 4 cloves of garlic minced 3 large shitake mushrooms chopped 4 eggs 1 small block of Feta (about 4 oz.) about 2 Tbsp. shredded assiago a small handfull of fresh dill chopped salt and pepper olive oil 1 package of Phylo Dough thawed Steam the spinach till limp and squeeze the moisture out. I use a towel or cheescloth, and just wring the spinach out. You can also use a mesh strainer. In a large skillet saute the garlic, mushrooms, and onion in olive oil, sprinkled with salt and pepper, until the onion becomes translucent. Add the drained spinach and chopped

Fucking Drivers
Just in the last few days I have encountered many different drivers on the road. Just today, driving from picking up my daughter I am behind a car where the driver is flapping his arms madly. Flapping and shaking his head back and forth. Thought “what in the hell? Is he ranting or what?” My first impression he was possibly raging at his passenger. Every few seconds I would see both of his hands going nuts. I had to give him props, this was going on while driving up hill, down hill and around corners, and he was very impressive driving with his knee. This went on for 5 miles. When we came to the junction he was turning left and me right, I was excited to pull up and take a peek at this guy. He was completely alone in his car and was about 65 years old. Umm oooooook…. Two days ago I encountered another first for me. Driving along I came up behind a car, no sooner than pulling up behind him, not to close mind you, I follow the 3 second rule, the dude hits his brakes HARD!!!

Confusion In My Head

I Decided To Be A Comedian.
I'm here in Atlanta - Georgias Hollywood. And I've been going to a lot of standup comedy shows lately. They all suck at maximum intensity. Every single show I go to is ten assholes lined up backstage. Each one comes out and wastes my precious eardrum vibrations talking about their boring lives and telling shitty relationship stories. If these comedians were a vacuum, it would be on the floor setting, not rug. Or something like that. Yeah, that was dumb. See, listening to these guys is even making me less funny. In The Eleventh Hour
So many times I put things off thinking that I'll get to them when I feel ready. I never use to be this way. Procrastination was not something that I have been known for until lately. Here I sit in the eleventh hour with trick or treaters just hours away from my doorstep and still I have not finished carving the pumpkins. I use to enjoy the yearly task of carving pumpkins. In fact, when I still lived in Portland, I would pick up about 8-12 extra pumpkins and carve them for my parents, so that they could line their driveway with them on Halloween. I now find carving pumpkins to be a not so enjoyable task. Perhaps, it was the enjoyment of having my children at home and sharing in the yearly festivities with them that made the task so much more enjoyable. KNOWING PEACE AFTER TRIAL Families I see happy where kids, live happily with both parents. Sometimes make me cry. Even though I know my parents are just being happy being friends. They're day when I wished, I had our family back the way it was. The nights I was alone I look at pictures of us all together wished for those times again. When I could wake up seeing both my parents Christmas morning. Holiday were hard for me to deal with, epically those days. Goin On A Trip
I won't be on-line after today until monday. I'm going to a wedding in North Carolina. I'll be some around Vale, NC. Where ever the hell that is. Reality
Ok there are those on here that truly know me in real life so they might understand where I'm coming from with this. There are many times on here that things can be easily misunderstood and very easily taken out of context. On Fubar that tends to happen more often than not. I'm up front with people on here and they know where they stand with me. Yes, I will flirt and joke around, but none of that is ever serious on my part. That is part of the thrill here on Fubar. Charlie Horses..woohoo!
So I have been totally slacking on my blog, but not on working out..thankfully..I wasn't able to go to the gym since last Wednesday.. until this morning, because my parents were in Vegas and everybody else has been sick, or I didn't have money at the time to pay a sitter... but I have been working out at home so I didn't slack off TOOO much.. I definately made up for it in the gym today though.. did 40 minutes of cardio / 20 on bike, 20 on treadmill and then I did circuit training and cruches, and then did my first step aerobics basics class... yowza.. I got charlie horses in both calves and got really dizzy.. so I didn't complete the hour long class, just 30 minutes of it.. but it was definately fun and could feel the burn after just a couple minutes, so I am going to have to make sure I am there every Wednesday to work my way up to doing more. I am eating Healthy and making sure I avoid the aisles with all the junk at the grocery store and the over processed foods and even working
