Winter Solstice
For those who may not know, I am pagan & today is the Winter Solstice. The longest day of the year. It is when then sun is furtherest from earth. This day has been celebrated for 10's of thousands of years, for after today begins the new cycle and when the sun begins it journey back to nurture us. Im So Confused
He tells me wait for him let me get all the other stuff out of the way. I say ill be here!He says I love you and cant live w/o you. Then he does the opposite of what he says he is doing.Im starting to think that this man is failing to realize that I am only one person.I can only handle so much and keep it together.He builds me up and tells me all the things I want to hear.I always have to find out from other ppl what the real deal is!I have come to the realization that he does not love me like he claims. X-mas Thoughts...
Some Christmas thoughts: This Christmas will not be the same as past years. You see, a couple weeks after Christmas 2006, my grandpa Shird Moses passed away, he was 81. Five months later, Papa Mitch Herald died of a hemorrhage at 66. THEN, as if those two weren't enough, I lost my aunt Kathy when she killed herself at age 43. Past Christmas Eves have been spent at Papa Mitch's...not this year. Past years, my aunt has come up for Christmas...not this year. Past years, I would always at least call grandpa Moses to say merry Christmas...not this year. It's hard to admit they're gone...but they were never forgotten. I love you Grandpa "Mose", Papa Mitch, and Aunt Kathy... :( :( :( :( Remember to always tell the people you love, that you love them...every day could be their last.

Is Is Christams Yet?
I love the Christmas season, don't get me wrong. But it just seems like every year I am busier and busier. Yesterday was a busy day of doing NOTHING. Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. Down In The Dumps!
Yesterday I finally got some time to go and see my father, who is currently in hospital care, waiting for a nursing home to come available for him. Well he has gottten worse since the last time I saw him. He is very sick now, he might lose his foot because of his diabetes, also his memory is getting worse with each day. he didn't even know who i was for a few mintues when i got there. This is becoming a very hard thing for me to face, I don't think he will last another year. I am not ready to give up on him yet but it is a reality i will have to soon face. Also on the other hand I have finally met my older brother that my father had with a woman over 55 years ago, my brother Chuck and his wife Kathy came to town to see our father, who he hasn't seen since he was 2 yrs old. I also discovered that I have another sister who lives about an hour and half drive away from me.

Wtf Is Up With The Lounges Around Here!?
Ok, i belong to a lounge, but went to bed. Couldnt sleep and since no one was in my "home lounge" I decided to try some of the other lounges out. Hi y'all! An update on the progress of my heart transplant... Well, the last update was in July. Lots has happened since then. I received FANTABULOUS news in October! I was so excited that I didn't want to share it! I wanted to hold it close to my heart (no pun intended) and keep it for myself a while. The news: I've been moved from Zone 2 to Zone 7 (see what the zones are at the bottom)! YIPPPEEEE!!! So what does that mean? It means that I will continue to take the medicine and follow the strict diet for the rest of my life. I was told that this means I will NOT have to have a heart transplantation! WOOT! WOOT! Of course, if my heart worsens or my condition changes (for the worse) then I will be moved back to the top of the waiting list...but I'm only thinking positive thoughts...believing that nothing will change for the worse. My heart has responded remarkably well to the drugs and therapy! It's incredible how quickly I bounced back...seems like the brink of death! Te

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. Puppies
Today I brought home 3 4-week old puppies with the intention of keeping 1 and fostering 2. Why am I doing this???? Because of heartless, careless and irresponsible piece of shit dog owners. On Sunday night the private no kill animal shelter I volunteer at picked up 17 puppies from an animal control shelter, that kills the animals that are in need, in another county so save thier lives. 8 were 3 1/2 weeks, 2 were 7 weeks and 7 were 7 DAYS old. Here is my biggest grip. The 7 day old pups were born outside because the mom wasn't kept inside. Animal control found them and took them to the shelter. The owners of the mother came to claim her. When they asked if either they would take the puppies or leave the mom for weaning and they said no. When animal control told them that all the pups would be destroyed if they didn't do that they said they didn't care and took the mom home. 1 cup water 1 tsp. baking soda 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 cup of brown sugar Lemon juice 4 large eggs Nuts 1 bottle tequila 2 cups dried fruit Sample the tequila to check quality. (I already sampled it.....several times to check the quality) Take a large bowl, check the tequila again. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Ruinning Holiday Spirits...
Now wouldn't you think this is the perfect way to ruin your holiday spirits??? I got a Christmas card in the mail today. Nothing out of the ordinary really right? At least that is what we all thought. Till you open up the card and find a little note attached on the inside. Which was not of Christmas spirits at all. My Fathers Friend
Today a great man passed away. My fathers best friend was someone who would give you the shirt off of his back in the middle of winter, even if that meant he would have nothing.
