Guess I'm Just Too Old...
I had to go to Walmart this morning. Yes...I HAD TOO! As i'm tooling up to the dreaded doors to the seventh layer of Dante's Hell, i heard a guy's voice. There blocking traffic was a car with a guy leaning into the widow talking to the driver. He was in his early twenties i'm guessing. Talking very loudly, he was giving blow by blow of his night out partying. Then when i'm about even with the car he says, "I hafta go in to Walmart to use the restroom machine". What the hell is a "restroom machine"?!? Is it the hand dryer? Did they put in condom vendors? I'm not sure what it is, but i'd bet it's the toilet. Just when i got to the door, he sprinted by me and made a b-line for the restrooms. I looked in the Urban Dictionary for a definition, but i found none. Gawd i'm fucking old. 8-P

Today is another classical saturday with girls, (means i put my taxi driver hat, went from point A to point B, then B to C, then C to A, then A to B, then B to D then D to A; then A to B, B to E, E, to A... finally A to F, F to E and E to A While driving, i was listening to this beautiful song of Hendrix "the wind cries Mary", and it's just matching my thoughts for now... feeling like a King without his Queen. Will Be Gone All Day
Our weekend will start off by going to see the new Indiana Jones flick at a huge theater we like. After that we are going to a Japanese restaurant and have our dinner prepared for us at our table. This should be a fun day ... our plan for the weekend has been drastically changed due to the price of gas here ... I am sure gas has interferred with many others plans also. Tomorrow we might be going fishing up in the Cascades for trout ... that should be fun... only if it does not rain or snow there. Rather cool and cloudy here.

Cheating At The Pump
(Who knows if this is really true….but since gas is so high right now I thought I better post this!) CHEATING AT THE PUMP This is a true story, so read it carefully. On April 24, 2008, I stopped at a Kangaroo BP gas station, located at 1325 Main Street, Cartersville, GA. My truck's gas gauge was on 1/4 of a tank. I use the mid-grade, which was priced at $3.71 per gallon. When my tank is at this point, it takes somewhere around 14 gallon's to fill it up. When the pump showed 14 gallons had been pumped I began to slow it down, then to my surprise it went to 15, then 16. I even looked under my truck to see if it was being spilled. It was not. Then it showed 17 gallons had been pumped. It stopped at almost 18 gallons. This was very strange to me, since my truck has only an 18 gallon tank. I went on my way a little confused, then on the evening news I heard a report that 1 out of 4 gas stations had calibrated their pumps to show more gas had bee

Something has been bothering me for a while now so I figured Id write about it. In September of 2006 I started talking to this girl named Mellissa on the internet. Rememberance
Well, all, I'm only here for a little while (though aren't we all? lol). The saddest thing about Memorial Day is the remembrance of my dad. He was in this veterans organization and every year during the memorial day weekend, there were places to go and things to do. Living in Maryland at the time helped, but they had people coming from all over including Europe. The culmination of all this was the event at Arlington National Cemetery, for the Memorial Day Festivities. See all those graves with an American Flag on them made one kind of misty-eyed, visiting certain gravesides, one being Gen. Pershing, and then on to the amphitheater for speeches, and where the President (or his representative) would lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns, followed by many leaders of various veterans organizations, to many to name here. Hello all, Got some good news, after finding out that I was denied unemployment, I litterally spent the entire day the other day sending out job apps/resumes/cover letters, ect to almost 40 places. I have heard back from two of them already, one from a head hunter agency that has a few positions open in both Network Administration and Helpdesk Level II, however, the one I am more interested in at the moment is an IT Manager position at a Bank here in Madison. I had been striving to become a manager at my previous company but just wasnt any openings at the time, and having past experience in Management in older jobs helps in this regards as well as my years of experience. They want me to call them back next week and setup an interview time for both places so things are looking hopefull there anyways. How Did I Manage That?
I was recently told by one of my supervisors that I needed to get new uniform shirts and it might be a good idea if I bought new pants as well. This was a little embarrassing to me, because I've never been told my clothes were too BIG before. So, today, before work, I went to the uniform department and went shopping for some new pants, and lo and behold, I lost more weight than I had realized.... I dropped 2 shirt sizes and 4 pants sizes. How is it that it took that much before someone told me I was starting to look a little sloppy? And how is it, when I'm doing nothing different in my life except for the person I'm with, that I've managed to lose that much weight anyway? We're talking AT LEAST 30 lbs here!

Update On Daddy
As I posted yesterday in a bulletin we have been so worried about daddy’s foot & leg. Oh what fun I am having in my new job at Whole Foods. Its been a little rough trying to get used to the laid-back atmosphere and bureaucracy of being in a corporation...mixed. Our Smokehouse has been breaking records in store and within the Southwest region. We're #1 in brisket sales and after this weekend same for ribs. Journal Entry #2: 5/21/08 Today I did more reading. I reviewed a former client’s chart information and reviewed the procedures for intakes assessments. I also learned how to do CAFAS assessments and practiced a few case scenarios for those and compared the answers to a booklet containing the correct answers. I was close or correct on most of the choices I made. I was given more scenarios to take home and complete so that I can be certified to give the CAFAS assessment on my own. I kept being moved to different places to sit in the office because there was no space for me to be to work on the things the task supervisor was giving me. I decided to start this blog because it can chronicle my experiences with my internship over the Summer. My regular job and this internship pretty much take up my entire life right now... Journal Entry #1: 5/20/08 Today was a difficult first day. The first half of my day was dedicated to reading the policy/procedure manuals and then I was supposed to attend some IDT (Interdisciplinary) meetings for some of the clients. I was forgotten twice by my task supervisor. She forgot to check on me and left the agency to pick up lunch for everyone. When she returned she did apologize for leaving me without any notice or direction on what to do while she was gone. The second time, she went to pick up the kids from the high school (10 minutes away) in her vehicle for the IDT meetings and then she was going to come back by and let me follow her to the doctor’s office where the IDT meetings would occur since I didn‘t know the way. Today was the approval date for my art work on my first tattoo. I am excited and nervous all at the same time about this. I have wanted one but have kept talking myself out of it. Well my 2 week vacation has started to come to a close, it’s back to work on Monday. For the most part it’s been good up until the last few days. Surprises, surprises and surprises!! It seems like some things just never change or go away. Ever now and then you get hit with some unexpected news that really floors you! And then sometimes you find it out in the worst possible ways. I think we all as people hope for the best in life and try to forget or ignore the bad things going on around us. But reality soon sets in and things have to be dealt with, like it or not. Preggers Update!
Well, the morning sickness is getting better and worse at the same time( if that makes sense). I go to the doctor next Friday. Sometimes I wonder when I will finally leave this site. I just started, but to be sure, I can't possibly stay friends with everyone that I meet, nor can I make good on every hope and wish that I have for my friends, or myself with my friends. There's a ladder that goes all the way up to the top, probably ten stories up. If I made it up to the top, the electric wires are within fairly easy reach. If I didn't make it up to the top, the fall from the ladder would be enough. The walk to the electric tower is far enough to allow me some time for me to think. It's through the woods, an environment that has always given me clarity and been an excellent conduit of self-reflection. This way, I would know that the decision wasn't an impulsive, rash one.

Life At Its Greatest!
I am so happy with life right now. I am living the life that most 22 year olds only dream about, and it just keeps getting better and better. Not only am I looking to get a promotion at work, I have a healthy son who admires me, I have many friends who would do anything for me, and on top of everything else...my new business is just about ready to launch. Now dont get me wrong there are those things that cause stress but I am not letting those things get in my way. Yeah sure it sux being lonely, but its my choice to be that way. My career and my son mean so much to me. If I wasnt this way then I wouldnt be as successful as I am today or what I will be in the years to come. I feel as though one day when I settle down, I will have plenty of time to have relationships and possibly get married but for now I am just doing what I have to, to give me and my son a great life. I have seen people struggle, and that life just isnt for me!

Memorial Day
While many of us are enjoying the "official" beginning of summer and BBQing and drinking and with family and friends, many of us fellow Americans are not. I hope everyone on here would know the true meaning of Memorial Day. It is not just a day off for many as our soldiers overseas do not have the day off. As a veteran of active duty and a reservist now, I think about our soldiers overseas everyday as I know many of them personally. Let's take the time while we are enjoying our holiday weekend to think and remember those overseas fighting a useless "war" but still doing their duty and those who haven't and won't make it back alive to see their family and loved ones again. Never take a day for granted and tell those that you love, how much they mean to you today, cause tomorrow is never promised! B safe this weekend!
