INGREDIENTS * 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 12 squares) * 2 tablespoons sugar * 2 tablespoons butter, melted * FILLING: * 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened * 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk * 1/3 cup lemon juice * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling SERVINGS 8 CATEGORY Dessert PREP 15 min. TOTAL 15 min. DIRECTIONS In a bowl, combine the cracker crumbs, sugar and butter. Divide among eight dessert dishes, about 4 rounded teaspoonsfuls in each. These shredded potato pancakes are the most traditional of the Hanukkah foods. The oil in which they are fried represents the central story of the holiday in which oil enough to light the temple for 1 day miraculously lasted for 8. Ingredients 1 medium onion 6 medium potatoes (about 2 lb.), peeled 2 eggs, beaten 2 Tbs. matzo meal 2 Tbs. chopped fresh parsley 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper 1/4-1/3 C. vegetable oil Applesauce Sour Cream Directions Coarsely shred onion into a large bowl. Shred potatoes into bowl with onion, stirring occasionally. The onion will keep the potato from browning. Stir in eggs, matzo meal, parsley, salt and pepper. Heat 2 Tbs. oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add potato mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls into oil. Fry until crisp and golden; turn and fry remaining side until golden for about 5 minutes on each side. Transfer to platter and keep warm. Repeat until all potato mixture has been used, adding oil as necessary.

Last night, I did something I'd been needing to do for a few months...get off to myself, think about the course of my life, how I want it to go, where it is going, and how I make changes that will suit ME. New Shoes
went around to my friend Stuart's house to see if he wanted to go running, his Mum Sandra answered the door and informed me that he was out and was due back in a couple of hours. In light of recent events in the news, I have started to develope a particular paranoia. Case in point; I was on layover at this little airport in Minnesota, when I suddenly had the urge to use the restroom. So I'm starting this blog about my work stuff... A way to bitch about some of the hell I work at... Let's see if this works... This week was hell... I know it's not over but my brain has shutdown for the week already. My week began on Monday... Went to work for a normal day... No biggie just a regular Monday... Mondays are never great, are they?? No this day went bad long after it was supposed to be over. Sometime around 7 pm I got this email on my phone (I have a PDA phone, really neat but keeps me tethered to work). This email basically stated an error had occurred on my email server. So I pull out my laptop, connect into work, and check it out. Meanwhile, of course going back through and reading it and now Im of course second (or more like 1000th) guessing everything! Life in the military has taken me to many places. The first few years I was in the US Navy and seen many new places for someone of 18 years. With a honorable discharge under my belt in 1989 I thought I had life by the tail like many other people before me. New loves and then lost loves or were they really loves at all. In 1994 I joined the National Guard and am currently finishing my career. I have see the uglyest in things (hurricain Katrina, and the Iraq war). But the best things I have seen is the support for my brothers and sisters from the american people. The love is very overwelming and is greatly taken in by the military men and women. Please take my thanks for these brave and caring people. May God bless you all and the miltary men and women of this country.

Beat in cinnamon and salt. Melt the butter in a large frying pan. Dip the challah slices, one at a time, into the egg mixture, making sure that each slice is well coated. The challah should absorb a little of the egg mixture but not enough to get soggy. Fry each battered challah slice for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Don't fry too fast or the inside will be wet and gooey. Serve with your favorite jam, maple syrup, honey, cinnamon, sugar, or plain. Today, had medical things to attend to early in the morning, then took a 12:40 bus- which felt like it was afflicted with the plague of traffic, and Friday afternoon buses always are; it's an express bus but this helped make up for any lack of stops (it had very few between Ithaca and NYC) - it still took five hours and a bit to get to the terminal here. My New Years
My New Years kicked ass. I spent New Years Eve in Cleveland for the night at a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. It was AWESOME! I didn't know this and I think a lot of people don't know this that the band started out as an 80's hair metal band called Sabotage...they didn't do too well and that's when they became TSO, the band they are now. Great music, amazing concert, but it was funny seeing them because it seemed like they were trying to live out their dreams of being a big time metal band through christmas music.

Walnut Chicken Breasts
Chicken breasts baked in foil packets with a bread crumb and walnut dressing mixture. INGREDIENTS: * 4 boneless chicken breast halves * lemon juice * 6 tablespoons melted butter * 3 cups bread crumbs, toasted * 1/3 cup finely chopped onion * 1/2 cup chopped celery * 2 teaspoons parsley flakes * 3/4 cup chopped walnuts * 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt * seasoned salt and pepper PREPARATION: Mix together bread crumbs, half of the melted butter, onion, celery, parsley, walnuts, 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, and enough water to moisten. Lay out 4 squares of aluminum foil, double thickness, and butter generously.Make a mound of stuffing on each buttered square of foil then place on baking sheet. Bold & Spicy Steak With Chipotle Butter
Prep Time: 15 min Total Time: 55 min Makes: 8 servings, 1/2 steak each 3/4 cup A.1. Original Steak Sauce 4 boneless beef ribeye steaks (8 oz. each) 2 Tbsp. lime juice 3 Tbsp. chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped, divided 1/3 cup butter, softened MIX steak sauce, lime juice and 1 Tbsp. of the chipotle peppers until well blended. Remove 1/2 cup of the steak sauce mixture for brushing onto steaks as they cook. Pour remaining steak sauce mixture over steaks in large resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Turn bag over several times to evenly coat steaks. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate. MEANWHILE, mix butter and remaining 2 Tbsp. chipotle peppers until well blended; cover. Quitting Smoking With Chantix, Day 1
I started my prescription this morning, a tiny white pill that really didnt look like it could do much. took it and felt high as a kite for about ten minutes, then rembered it said "take with food" so i stuffed down a banana and laid down til the dizziness wore off. after that, i didn't notice any side effects whatsoever. they say that you can smoke the first few days of treatment and i'd fully planned on doing that. so i'd light up when i felt the urge. at the end of the day though, i counted up my cigarettes and realized i only smoked half of what my normal amount is. And, some of those cigarettes felt like i was doing it only out of habit and i shouldn't be doing it. more than once i put out a half cig just cause i didnt want it anymore. we'll see what tomorrow brings...

Well... here goes nothing... I have had this on my mind for a while now and nothing has happened yet. I am going to the doctor on Thursday for a pregnancy test. I haven't had my visitor since before Thanksgiving. I took a test a few weeks ago and it was negative, BUT I still have yet to get anything. AND I have been dizzy, really tired, getting headaches, and my skin has been breaking out like crazy. Make these tasty wings ahead of time and refrigerate them. When everyone's ready to eat, simply microwave the wings, serve them with ranch dressing or honey mustard, and watch them fly off the plates. Plasma Vs Lcd
Everyone wonders which is better so here goes. LCD is better for many reasons at the present time. Plasma is designed for minimal use, because it generates to much heat and disapating that heat is not a simple fix. Thus normal every day use tends to burn them out within 2 years. LCDs also have alot more flavors and companys making them this means you have alot wider range of choices. I will recomend only one brand here for two reasons. 1. It is middle road almost low road on price 2. It has the best picture quality when watching sports or high action movies. Visio can be found at wallmart and has recently released a 42inch LCD and that is almost the biggest LCD so far, i have seen one 46 but i didnt like its price. I Miss Going To The Pool Hall/bar
I miss going to the pool hall with friends. Kicking their ass or attempting too. Having random guy conversations ranging from sports to hot chicks. Totally Sucks
Last night my boyfriend and I went out to dinner. We haven't been out in a while cuz of our work schedules so it was nice to get out. We had a $100 gift certificate for what I was told was a nice restaurant so we took the oppotunity to go. This is supposed to be one of the top restaurants to go to... I was very disappointed first of all with the service. We didn't go out until about 9pm but when we got there we were told there were no tables, even though I saw several empty ones. It took about 15 minutes before anyone even came up to us to ask if we even wanted a table! The place wasn't even busy!! Next we were told to go sit in the lounge area, that the food there was the same and we could sit right away. very very weird dream.
