was pretty boring, but eventful LOL. Memorial Day 2007
So I just wanted to share with you my experience this weekend. I attended the Memorial at our local VA cemetery and what an honor and privilege it was. There must have been 1200 plus people in attendance, vets and cilvilians alike some with their kids and grand kids. I try and attend every year, I am not sure it has ever had such an effect on me as this year. As hard as I tried to keep it together and hold back the tears, be the tough Marine I couldn't do it. Floor Numbering System (for Cyrus)
Millennium Point, the building that contains Thinktank, the science museum I work in, is built on the side of a hill. This means there are three different levels that you can enter the building from: street level from Curzon Street (the main entrance), which brings you into the level known as G2, street level from Jennings Road, which brings you in on G0, and a level that opens out on to the car park, called G1. There are also three other levels. In ascending order they are: L1, L2 and L3, plus the roof. Because of some kind of loophole, if a building has less than five floors, it is eligible for a lower rate of Council Tax. To exploit this, Millennium Point has adopted the very confusing floor numbering system we have. In effect, Millennium Point has THREE ground floors, G2, G1 and G0, thus keeping below 5 floors in total and allowing them to pay less tax. Everything clear there?

The Weekend
I figured I would tell you all about my weekend. Play got here on fri a lil after 3. We went to outback for dinner that nite and then after a few attempts to see At Worlds End(Pirates of the carribean) We saw it very late cuz it kept selling out. It was good! See it. Saturday we went to a few bike shops, out to lunch at Red lobster and then we saw the movie BUG. It was the worst movie we had ever seen. I mean it was AWFUL. What the hell is going on with the friggin' employment around here? I go around and apply for jobs, but then there's the credit check that companies/businesses want to do before hiring me. Day 22 With The Bb!!

What Memorial Day Is
I wanted to take a minute and say a piece of my mind. I think that its great that people are partying this weekend. But what bothers me is that we have lost the real meaning of what today is. Memorial day is a day for us to remember the fallen soilders who have given their lives to protect our country. This hits home because I lost a very dear friend nearly a year ago to the war in iraq. I'm not bitter because he gave his life to save another. But I would like to see people at least stop and say thank you to a soilder who fought for or rights and the rights of others and came back home. Well, apparently, I'm even more talented than I realized. I provide both of my employers my schedule of availability several months in advance. It would seem, however, that my schedule of availability doesn't coincide with my June work schedule. Let's take June 4th for an example. I'm scheduled to work from 6 AM to 6 PM at the jail on the fourth. I'm also scheduled to start my shift at the Village at noon. How 'bout June 7th-8th? This is my son's ship. The supercarrier, USS Enterprise (CVN-65), is the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and the eighth U.S. Naval vessel to bear the name. Like her predecessor of World War II fame, she is nicknamed the “Big E”. At 1,123 feet (342.3 m), she is the longest naval vessel in the world[1], though her 93,500 tons displacement places her as the second heaviest naval vessel, surpassed only by the Nimitz-class. She is also the only aircraft carrier to house more than two nuclear reactors. Enterprise’s eight-reactor propulsion design was rather conservative, with each A2W reactor taking the place of one boiler. I hope everyone reading this had a great Memorial Day weekend. We didn't do anything but decorate a few graves around here, I thought we were going to go to Ohio to decorate more but we decided not to this year. Well it is just hours till I have to get up to go to work. 10 hrs. I didnt do much today did a little shopping and washed clothes. I am glad it is goign to be a short week. Trouble In Paradise
I don't know what to do anymore. I have a friend that is married. She loves her husband dearly but lately, he has been acting like a jerk. He constantly fights with her and tells her that she is lazy. Yet when she asks him if she can do something like that laundry, he tells her that he doesn't want her doing anything. Recently, they got into a fight and he was hitting her. He hit her on her collarbone, in her leg, and threw a tote box full of clothes at her head and caused her to fall off of the bed. Well, her other friend's husband broke the door down and was yelling at him for being so loud and hitting her. I don't know what to tell her to do because I really don't know the whole story. I guess that I just needed to vent cause it has me worried about her.

Fills The Air...
What once was filled with laughter and conversation. A space that was at one time occupied with a many faces, now is all but used by me. No birds outside my windowseal, no wind blowing by. Not even a meaningless conversation from a neighbor nearby. All is still. Nothing to be heard. Letters on the keyboard and my heartbeat is all that can be heard. It's a deafening silence. A car passes by, people having somewhere to go, someplace to be. While I sit here alone without a prayer. One thing on my mind. When does this silence get filled with the voice of the one who cares? To hear that sweet sound would do my heart so much good. I think about it so much that I can almost see her face. I want to reach out, she isn't there. All is gone but me, and the silence that fills the air...

Insincere People
I've come across so many men on this site who say one thing and do another for example the one that comes to mind are the guys who say they will talk to you and never do, in fact they have no intention of ever talking with you , so my question is, why do you bullshit? I dont give a fuck, but what really gets to me are the guys who say they will and then dont,I hate liars and people with no integrity. What are you on here for? some as i have seen are just on here to show off their photos of themselves, theres two guys who have more pictures of themselves than I have ever seen on any sight.These guys are in love with themselves, they are real cam whores, winking and kissing their cams, as they click away to get the perfect shot so they can look at themselves, just pathetic, and you know who you are, you people are rude and not even worth knowing, take the make up off your face and your ugly, inside and out.

Quick Note
As some of you will notice I have created a new "My angel series" blog and moved all of the poems for that series there. I did this for a few reasons, I'm going to be writing and posting alot of poetry from now on and I didn't want to get poems that are part of that series mixed up with poems that are not part of that series. I never thought this series would get as big as it has. I'm loving it watching it grow. I honestly don't know when the series will end. Thank you to all who have given me love about the series. If you commented on the poems I'm sorry I couldn't keep them when I moved the poems over. Feel free to comment or re comment whatever the case may be.
