Bored
You can always tell when I'm bored. I start doing those dumb quizzes on those stoopid sites. But they are amusing, most of the time. Don't understand their answers sometimes, but again, they are amusing. Today my neice got her 2nd school big award. It's a certificate and stuff, but still, hey. She won a freaking award, and you gotta be proud of that. Well, I'm off to play NiBiRu again. It got stuck in one spot and I had to quit it. So now I can go and replay 5 minutes of it. Sucks, but who gives a flying rat's a**. Laters!

Does Anyone Have An Idea Of A Solution????
...and, no! Throwing the dang computers out the window isn't an option. I have two CPU units connected together through a KVM Cable to one monitor (hooked up early December). Monitor and one computer was just bought in Oct 2006 (roughly). Other CPU has just recently been rebuilt. Now, my monitor is flashing on/off constantly and I can't get it to stop. * Checked cables plugged into CPU units * Checked cables plugged into KVM * Checked cables plugged into monitor * Checked cables plugged into surge protector and/or wall No viable problem is apparent. Can you think of any other things for me to try?????? Viable suggestions are welcomed!! :D

...Now more than 3000 US troops have died in the Iraq war. Now George Bush says that he is fighting to keep from another attack on American soil. He does not want Americans to be killed. Well I say look at that number of how many of Americans that have been killed in Iraq. You don’t want them to die on American soil...but I guess it is ok to die else where . More than 3000 US troops have died and the body count is increasing everyday. I say that Bush should be ashamed of himself. Now you may disagree with me...but that body count does not lie. Do you realize that the number of troops that have died is more than the number of who died on Nine eleven. And the body count is growing . Chicken Wings Anybody?
One night I stopped at bar known for thier chicken wings, It also happened to be all you can eat for 8$ night. They had also posted that the record for this bar was 120 wings in 2 hrs by some guy named Spanky. It got me to thinking, This is only a wing a minute. Now I alway get 20, and down them without thinking and maybe get another 20 togo so I asked the waitress if this is for real and she noded. I said check the clock and dont hold me up by delaying bringing them out and make the hot too :) In 30 minutes I ate 60 wings and was feeling good, Then I found out why the total was so low. It turned out Spanky was the cook and when anybody was a threat he would make them hotter (which wouldn't affect me lol) but if that didnt work he kept really big wings on hand just for such purposes, no shit these looked like turky wings. My Career As A Scientist
From time to time people have asked about my career as a scientist and where I stand on certain environmental issues like global warming. I’m going to try to write something here that is concise enough to hold interest yet informative enough to put some issues to rest. I hold a few degrees, one of them being a BS in Chemistry and most of my career I was Chief Chemist for ConocoPhillips, the energy company. I am also a Six Sigma Black Belt. Specifically, I worked at a plant that made petroleum coke, or carbon, and so my expertise is in the carbon world. Along the way I was voted Chairman of the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) Petroleum Analysis Committee, and was awarded the ASTM Special Recognition Award for my developing a method to analyze carbon for impurities by X-Ray spectroscopy. My Fourth Day
Today is the fourth day without my 16 month old son Danjer. My wife is an extreme case of bipolar schizophrenea, topped off with heavy anxiety. Not only that, she quit taking her meds a couple of months ago. I cant lie, Im glad she is gone, but she took my son. I cant find them anywhere, and its killing me!!! Day Off :p
last night sucked. i didnt have dinner last night and i forgot medicine needs food. so i took my meds PLUS 4 tylenol to knock me out (and it worked later on) but later on, i had to go into the bathroom and hover around the toilet until the insane feeling of nausea passed. yea dude, it sucked. my dad's bday is tomorrow (yay 64...i think) so i had to go shoppin for the DVDs i was supposed to get him. long story as to why i waited so late. but yea, it was a fun trip to cosco, best buy and borders with my mom. i have to bake brownies for this party thing tomorrow for PE indoor lacrosse (last practice for us) and the ones mom bought the other day SUCKED. of course cosco is a lot of stuff right? so the boxes of brownie mix come in boxes of 6 BATCHES! i'm makin like 2 batches tonight. Gone Drinking

My Parking Drama

The First Letter Jan 30th.
For those of ya that may not know, I was activated on th 29th of Jan. 2007 for another trip to th sandbox. This will make my 5th trip to th Middle East/ Southwest Asia since1983 when I was introduced to it while I was with th 82nd ABN Div.. I've been pretty anti-social lately. Just my usual winter blues plus a dash of frustration with people thanks to Carey's antics as well as some family issues going on. Hard Times
I had a hysterectomy a week ago and am heeling ok.I am in lot of pain from it still(thank god for loratabs).I had my staples removed today and the doctors had to clean the incision since it had small infection nothing serious though then they put some tape over it to hold it closed since all of it hasnt closed yet.So on top of me getting better from my surgery I am dealing with the fact my grandmom is dying.Her heart is bad and her doctors cant do any more for her.It is only a matter of time before I get the call that she has passed away.My heart is breaking over this.I love that woman and will miss her.I love you michael.Thank you for being my rock.

So with Valentine's Day coming up (and believe me, I'll be blogging about my opinion of THAT holiday soon), I thought I'd talk about some dating myths for women that I really feel are still pretty active. Oh my god omigod omigod omigod! I found this this morning reading the Star Tribune before class. It's an article on the number of high end restaraunts that are closing in the Minneapolis area. "I have an aversion to fancy dining. I like to go to fancy restaurants, but I wouldn't want to own one; there are too many fancy funerals out there. Minneapolis is, in my opinion, a two-star city. We aren't Chicago, where Tru is busy every night of the week. Still, I don't think there's a trend going on here. It could be that there just isn't enough of the Armani crowd to fill these restaurants on a regular basis. There's an awful lot of Lutheran DNA here, and that's a prescription for safety in dining. There's just a limited number of folks here who will warm up to sea urchin crème brûlée. It may have something to do with price, but not always. The average check at Manny's is $80, and it's packed every night. But it's not fancy, and you take some steak home and have a sandwich the next day. O

Strange Dream
And I think that might be the last time I drink a few margaritas and then have a glass of red wine in the same night. Not only did I wake up at 4am and stay wide awake for an hour only to doze fitfully until I had to get up for work but I had some really weird dreams. The dream started at home, though it was more like I was watching a flashback of two earlier memories. The first had happened about 2 weeks after moving. I was carrying a box down the hall and froze as I saw a ghost. It was a gentleman in an older style suit and he looked like I was seeing him in black and white. Coming Home
Hopefully, bf will be coming home from the hospital today. They ran ONE test that he could have done as a walk-in. He is going to talk to the doctors about Atlanta and how much it hurts him traveling to and from there. Also will decide if he goes for his treatment on Thursday. I doubt it due to the freeze that is on its way to Atlanta Thursday morning. Waiting for a phone call or him walking through the door. It is freezing here and my feet, ankles are frozen! Have had a slight relaps from my illness. Not as bad since I am on computer. This frigid air does not help my bones any! Gonna try to endure this cold as the gas bill was over $200 for this month! I need to go to a thrift store as I have one pair of pants that fit. All the others practically fall to my ankles. I was told there was one on Mt. Megis(Sp), but it is still too cold to walk...and I do not have the strength! Wet dreams everyone!

Weekend Getaway ~ Part I
Smiling she dropped the priority mail envelope with the map and key to the gate into the box and stuffed the receipt into her purse. The plans were made, he had accepted her invitation and now it was a mere week away for their first meeting. She had access to her best friend's private getaway home for a 4 day weekend. It was in a secluded area on 20 acres of land complete with a waterfall and small lake area not far from the house. Pulling out her list and crossing off the key being mailed she went to the next item which was to go get the supplies she would need. Onto the grocery store she went to get all the non-perishables, leaving the rest to the day before. She went up the night before his arrival since it was only a 2 hour drive for her. what can I say I live in hell, I am always plaged by demonds and lost souls with no hope. I am often refered to as the Devil herself and have come to excepet it in my everyday life. The Private Party
The evening of the private party started out with thunderstorms that had driven everyone inside for the time being. People gathered on both levels of the house which was well outside the city, situated on the highest level above the river that flowed nearby. The house seemed to be part of the trees and brush surrounding it though so it was very secluded for both the house and the pool and hot tub area. When we arrived, it was only sprinkling as the skies cleared and the storms moved off towards the southeast. People milled around the sumptuous buffet with meat and cheese platters, various sliced fruit on skewers soaking in a mixture of coconut rum and the fruits natural juices, crackers, and a champagne fountain at both ends of the table. My Grandma Part 4
Update on my grandma, well late night she had to go to the hospital.. They had to dran her bladder out it was full.. and today the nurse came and they bought the hospital bed in there.. I ma not going to be on that much now since we have a hospital bed here.. but me and my cousin are computer freaks and we agree to put the computer in my room so she can do what she want to do instead of grandma hearing what is on the computer.. I thought that was a really great idea.. But I am doing fine staying strong that is what I have to do the most.. I have a really good talk with my aunt and we talked about some important things.. Why Do It?
Why do people think they have to lie. You have to kep lying to cover up the first lie and it becomes a crazy cycle. When you tell someone your feelings don't tell them what you think they want to hear...tell them the truth. If you like someone for a friend then tell them but watch what signals you maybe giving. They may get confused by what your mouth is s aying to what your actions are saying. Spouces lie to each other to keep fusses down but is this right? In my experience sometimes I left out information to keep peace but felt guilty later. My husband tells me he loves me and I can't say it back. I have no feelings for him and I feel if I say it back it will be wrong. Don't get me wrong I want to love but I have been hurt by lies and so-called men saying they love me and poof they are gone. I now know why women go to outher women. Romantic love? Fairy tales? I want real love. Love that makes me feel beautiful!

Being Sick Sucks
Not that anyone cares, but I am just so tired of it. I've been sick for almost 3 weeks and no I haven't gone to the doctor because I don't have insurance so the next time someone says to me, "Go to the doctor." I am going to say, "Sure. You're paying, right?" And being sick all this time this is the first day I have called in sick to work, though I did leave early one day about 2 weeks ago. So here I am at home, sick, bored and feeling drained. Somebody save me! Plus I hate feeling like this because I feel so damn un-cute...and I sure as hell don't feel sexy. This better go away soon, especially since I am due back in Indianapolis in about 2 weeks, and I really miss my guy. :( I want to feel all better when I see him, so we can have some fun...lots of fun...if you know what I mean *wink* I really should go to the store, I need more medicine and tissues. The Past Year
Lets see, lets go back to march, just after i left my ex. If you remember from a previous blog, she has just bit a hole in my chest, and I'm also bleeding from a head wound (the phone hit me the second time). Well, i left, and took my daughter with me. I went to my brothers, and hid out there for a litle bit. Unfortunately the ex knows where my brother lives. and she showed up with the cops. Since we weren't married, and i hadn't had time to file the domestic abuse report yet, they took my daughter and gave her back to her mom. well that first month, i spent without my little girl, and the ex and her mom wouldn't let me see her at all either. Art Stuff..
I was watching our local News for the North West last week I think it was and they featured an artist called Anthony Brown. He is completing 100 portraits of people involved with the city of Liverpool to capture the spirit of Merseyside in 2007, 800 years since Liverpool was granted its charter. They are no ordinary portraits... each one is a canvas covered in a collage of clippings and other items all personal to the portrait subject and then the image is then applied over that. I was really taken aback by the images which were really endearing because of this personal connection.
