Benoit strangled wife, smothered son Wednesday Jun 27 05:00 AEST By ninemsn staff Wrestling superstar Chris Benoit strangled his wife, smothered his son and then hanged himself in his weight room, according to police. Police investigators announced the grisly findings at a press conference this morning (AEST). "Mr Benoit had sometime, possibly Friday, murdered his wife by asphyxiation. Sometime shortly after that, the same for his son Daniel and sometime later ... committed suicide by hanging himself in the basement area," officials said in a statement from the Fayetteville Sheriff's Department. The bodies of the 40-year-old wrestler, his wife, Nancy Benoit, 43, and their seven-year-old son, Daniel, were found in three separate rooms at their Atlanta home on Monday. I really just don't get it. Three people are dead, and despite quite a few inconsistencies, it's being shoved down our throats that Chris Benoit indeed killed his wife and son. Watching the Press Conference today, it was made quite clear that the decision as far as the Sheriff's office is concerned, is over. It's Steroids alright, yup - he did it. Cashew Chicken With Oyster Sauce
4 lb. boneless chicken breast, cut in chunks 4 eggs 1 c. milk 1/2 lb. salted cashew nuts, more or less Snipped green onion tops Salt and pepper to taste OYSTER SAUCE: 1 chicken bouillon cube 1 c. water 2 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. water 1 tsp. oyster flavor sauce Flour chicken - let stand 15 minutes. Meanwhile combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Place floured chicken pieces in egg mixture for 10 minutes. Remove and coat with flour. Fry in hot oil in single layer. Keep chicken warm in covered pan at 200 degrees until all chicken is fried. Pour sauce over hot chicken. Sprinkle with nuts and green onions. Also may be served with Sweet & Sour Sauce. OYSTER SAUCE: Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water. Combine cornstarch and add water. Add sugar and oyster sauce and cornstarch mixture to bouillon water. Cook over low heat until thickened. Keep warm until ready to serve. Serves 4.

Dr Appointment
Well I finally did it. I broke down and went back to the Dr about my ankle. When I went back in Oct-Dec I was seeing a different Dr than I normally did because when I first hurt it my normal Dr was not available. I suppose you should be wary when the Dr that walks in is named Rocco.lol. Anyway, after about 8 months, I still have swelling and pain (especially after playing baseball on Sunday lol). So my Dr gives me predisone. I go back tosee him in a week. If its not better in 2 weeks I see a specialist. So I hope you are all happy cuz I finally went back lol (though it was the baseball on Sunday that convinced me). :) I'm glad I have so many people that worry and care. :)

Pineapple Glazed Grilled Pork Chops (or Chicken)
8 medium sized pork chops about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick 1 can pineapple rings, drained (reserve juice) 1 1/2 tbsp. dark brown sugar 1/4 cup prepared mustard 2 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water enough water to bring reserved juice to one cup Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Salt and pepper pork chops to taste. In a small sauce pan combine pineapple juice, water, brown sugar and mustard and bring to a light boil. Reduce heat and stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and cornstarch mixture. Simmer for 3 minutes until thick, stirring constantly. Brush sauce on pork chops (or chicken breasts if desired) and place on a prepared grill. Brown pork chops for 2 minutes on each side, brush on more sauce and top with pineapple rings. Cook for two or three more minutes and turn so pineapple rings are on the grill surface and get the nice grill marks and cook for two or three more minutes. Flip once more baste with s

North Carolina Bbq
1 (3 lb.) boneless pork shoulder (an inexpensive cut is okay) 1 sm. onion, sliced thinly 1 1/4 tsp. salt, divided 1/4 tsp. pepper Water 1/2 - 3/4 c. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. Texas Pete (cayenne pepper sauce) 2 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cut pork into 4 or 5 pieces and place in a Dutch oven. Add onion, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper and about 1/2" water. Cover tightly. Cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours. When meat has cooled enough to handle, drain and pull apart into shredded pieces. Set aside to cool. Prepare Sauce: Mix vinegar, hot pepper sauce, sugar, red pepper, remaining salt. Cook slowly 10 minutes. Add pork and warm through. If you prefer more of a sauce base, add a little of your favorite BBQ sauce. Serve with slaw and buns. This is an easy crowd pleaser.

Chicken Fajitas
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts 1/4 stick butter 1 cap full Mrs. Dash (regular or chipotle) 1 large onion 1 green pepper 1/4 brown sugar lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, tortillas Slice chicken into long strips, place in pan with half of the butter and Mrs. Dash. Cook until done and lightly browned. Stir in a small amount of water or chicken broth and the brown sugar. Cook until caramelized. Chop the pepper and onions into strips and rings, sauté in a separate skillet with the remaining butter. Cook until onions are caramelized and peppers have crispy edges. These fajitas are really easy to make and a little different because they're sweet and spicy.

This Uruguayan stew, with tender chicken pieces and vegetables swimming in a heady wine sauce, is prepared in a single pot. It almost cooks itself! Ingredients: 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds skinless chicken (with bone), cut into pieces 1/2 cup water 1/2 to 1/3 cup thinly sliced carrot rounds 1 medium potato, cut into 1-inch cubes 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 bay leaves 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon flour 1/3 cup thinly sliced fresh mushrooms (optional) 1/4 cup dry or semidry white table wine Preparation: Heat the olive oil in a wide-bottom stockpot or Dutch oven. Roll up tortillas with ends tucked in and, on lightly greased 8-by-8-inch baking pan, place seam-side down. In medium-sized saucepan bring to boil margarine, sugars, and water. Update About Samantha Kitty
I just called the Vet and canceled the rest of Samantha’s Chemotherapy sessions. The cancer has gone into a second lymph node and in the 2 weeks since we discovered the second node they’ve both grown. She’s still acting like a very happy energetic kitty, especially for being 17 years old. The folks at the Vet’s office said that she really acts like a much younger cat and can’t get over how sweet she is no matter what they’re doing to her. So, we’re going to hang out for a while, and when she starts to show that she’s in pain, I’ll take her to go to sleep. Vet couldn’t give me an estimate on a time line, so for all I know it could be a long way off or it could be in a month. Regardless, it’s time to let nature run her course. These flaky, cheesy empanadas are sure to be a hit anytime of day. Ingredients: 1 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack, coarsely chopped into 1/4-inch pieces 1/3 cup finely chopped celery 1/3 cup finely chopped green olives 1/4 cup raisins 2 packages pre-made empanada dough rounds (14 oz., or about 20 rounds total) 2 tbsp. milk 1 egg, beaten Preparation: Combine cheese, celery, green olives, and raisins and toss well. Place 2 tbsp. of filling just below center of each empanada round. Using pastry brush or finger dipped in water, moisten bottom edge of empanada round, and fold top over filling. Press edges to seal in filling, and prick tops with fork tongs. Add milk to beaten egg and stir well. Onto lightly greased baking sheet, place empanadas and brush each one´s top with egg wash. Ain't nothing better than a stormy rainy day during the summer. As I lie here in bed, resting after a long morning packing, it's finally starting to rain and thunder. I'm relaxed and just enjoying the sound. There's no TV on, no music, just the sound of the thunder and the rain hitting my windows. The rain is cooling down the temperature outside, which is great being that it was over 100 degrees just an hour ago. Car Repairs
Ok so the van died back in February and my brother kept saying he would fix it. It would cost about $1000 and don't worry about it....he'll take care of it (after the Cavalier, after the Suburban, after the Lincoln. . . none of them are fixed yet) He hasn't touched or moved the van yet, so I had it towed to his friend's shop today. There I am told that if the problem is what my brother said, then the labor alone will be $1100. We're saving up money to have it fixed, and we will have $1000 on Friday. Have You Ever Gotten Up On The Right Side Of The Bed??
Have you goten up on the wrong side of the bed and realized you should have stayed in bed?? I woke this morning in good shape...nothing was wrong...not problems...till I walked out the door. First I got my truck locked in reverse...couldnt get it into neutral. So After 30 minutes under the truck I got into neutral. Then I got it running...(it sat 2 years) and after several attempts. Once it was running I was checking thing s like water. I noticed the gas line by the gas filter was leaking. No Problem. I tightened it and all good....still running. i noticed this strong smell of gas still...look under the truck and the line is leaking. Shut the truck off. So Began cleaning the inside of the truck. I took the hose and sprayed it out. No Problem. So I decide that I will walk over to Midas Muffler where the guy I bought the truck from..and a friend of mine works there...asked if he had any gas line. He had some...didnt charge me. Cool. Lately
Lately I've been thinking a lot about a lot of things. One thing that's been getting to me is that a lot of my friends have kids. Granted I'm almost 26 and I still have some time, but I've been so down lately about it. I mean I love hearing stories of what their kids do or have done. I love hearing funny and cute stories. A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Taser for their anniversary submitted this : Last weekend at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Toni. Ingredients: 2 tbsp. olive-y and peppery olive oil 4 whole chicken legs, thigh and drumstick separated, or 1 whole chicken, cut up 2 small onions, chopped 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. ground coriander Coarse sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 1/2 cup dry sherry or marsala 1/2 tsp. saffron threads dissolved in 1 tbsp. very hot water 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar 1/2 cup vodka 1 heaping tbsp. dried lavender buds 1 tbsp. honey 1 cup chopped toasted almonds Preparation: Heat large, heavy dutch oven or braising pot over medium heat until pot´s edges are warm to touch; then add olive oil. When oil is hot and shimmery and is beginning to thin and flow, add pieces of chicken, skin side down, until floor of pot is filled. Don´t overcrowd pot. Ingredients: For vinaigrette: 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves 1/2 tsp. ground cumin Cayenne pepper 1/2 cup olive or canola oil (or mixture of both) Salt For salad: 1 1/2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves 1 large head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces 1 small jicama (about 12 oz.), cut into thin sticks 1 small bunch radishes, sliced into half-moons 1/4 small red onion, very thinly sliced 1 large avocado, diced 1 large mango, diced 1/4 cup hulled, roasted, salted pepitas Preparation: Preheat ridged grill pan.
