Deadbeat Dads

Happy Anniversary
Well yesterday was the anniversary of something that I would never wish upon my worst enemy. One year ago, my mommy was flown down to Lehigh Valley where we sat for hours to find out that she had suffered an anyuerism in her brain that had ruptured. The next day she had to undergo surgery to stop the bleeding and hopefully safe her life. It did. But we spent the next 7 weeks in the Nuero-Science ICU, for the first 3 weeks, she was in a medically induced coma, her brain kept spasming and everyday was a struggle for her life. But as the days and weeks past she grew stronger and after those 7 weeks, she was moved to a rehabilitation center for another 6 weeks. Finally after over 3 months, she was able to come home. She is now out of the wheelchair beginning to walk without any assistance at all, and getting by with day to day life on a mostly normal basis. She has proven to be such an amazing woman and I am so proud of her. Love you Momma!!!

Papa Roach - The Paramour Sessions
This CD is by far the most highly energized CD that I have heard. I consider myself a music fan, and I will admit that this CD is by far the best one that they have put out, alas...the first one is always the best one....Infest will remain my fav. CD by Papa Roach. This CD has a lot of very good songs on it, the most popular one out that's off this CD is 'Forever'. This song sits the whole tone for the album. However, it is not to be totally the entire album. For you MONDAY NIGHT RAW fans, the intro music from (...TO BE LOVED) is also included in this CD, it's the first track. For those of you that didn't know, PAPA ROACH has been used for WWF/WWE events for a while now. Along with the greats of OZZY, SLIPKNOT, MEGADEATH, and TOOL to name a few. Potato Patties (indian Style)
1 cup mashed potatoes 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped) 1/4 cup coriander (finely chopped) 1/2 cup green peas (boiled) 2 green chillies (finely chopped) few drops of lemon juice salt, red chilly powder, black pepper, to taste 1 cup corn flour Mix all ingredients except the corn flour in a bowl. Ranchero Shrimp
2 lbs. peeled and deveined shrimp 6 pcz. Roma tomatoes (diced) 1 piece white onion (sliced) 1 piece green poblano chile or 2 Anaheim (fresh diced) 1 clove garlic 3 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 tablespoon oregano 1 pinch cumin salt and black pepper, to taste Heat oil, add onion and garlic. Sauté over medium heat for a minute. Add tomatoes, chilies and spices; cover and bring to a simmer until the tomatoes are juicy (five minutes). Add the shrimp, uncover, bring to a boil and reduce sauce until shrimp is pink and fully cooked. Serve over Mexican rice, garnish with cilantro and green onions, serve with warm tortillas, making your own taco (one at time).

Cheese Blintzes
Batter: 1 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup milk 1/2 cup water or soda water 3 eggs 3 tablespoons oil or melted butter 1/2 teaspoon salt Filling: 1 pound cream cheese 2 egg yolks 3-4 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup raisins extra-virgin olive oil (or other vegetable oil) for frying 1) Mix batter ingredients until smooth and creamy. 2) Lightly coat a 6" or 8" frying pan (preferably non-stick) with oil. Heat. 3) Pour a small amount of batter (about 2 tablespoons) into pan. Swirl around until even. Heat. 4) When sides begin to curl away, turn over and lightly fry blintz on other side for a few seconds only. Put onto a plate. 5) Repeat until all batter is used up. 6) Mix filling ingredients together. Confusion
All the time in the world. It is what the proverbial 'they' say that I have. I suppose allegorically speaking I do since there is no outline to life and how it should be lived. There are days where I feel I am wasting time or rather, my life away. Other days where I do not even think of it at all. Lately it is more the former considerably than the latter. So what do I do? It would be said by the same proverbial 'they' to do what makes me happy. I'm not entirely sure what that would be anymore. One Year Later...
Whoa, today sucks alot it has been 1 full year since dad passed away. I still feel like shit all the time and I miss him everyday I know that it is suppose to get better with time. She Was Going To Be A Nurse
There was a girl who left here in Asheville at 18... She wanted to help so she joined Special Forces Civil Affairs... She Graduated from training and was shipped to Iraq... In Sadr City she was the only female in her unit... Her unit was assigned to augment SF A teams and Rangers... They gave the would be nurse healer a 50 caliber machine gun... Letting It Go?
I just had a conversation with a dear friend of mine and she told me that I've been miserable lately. I'm not going to deny that fact. She read me like a book and told me that my problem is is that I think about my dead son way too much and I'm not letting myself love someone properly or not letting myself be loved the way that I want and need to be loved. She says I need to move on. It's been over 7 years since my son died and I now have two other beautiful boys I need to focus on. Now, I know I'm stretching here for advice, because unless you have experienced the death of a 4 year old, you will never know how or what I am feeling, but should I push my thoughts of my son away and risk the chance of being hurt again by love? I guess you can say I'm using his death as a shield because my love for him was torn and ripped from my heart in a matter of seconds when he took his last breath. I just don't want to let him go yet.

Filling The Void
"How the hell did this happen?" That's the universal question I have been asking myself these past few involved months. The question above is not a bad question at all, in fact, once you know the story, you might view the question as hopeful or maybe not. I'm a writer, I use pen and paper to draw mental pictures. It is a release, a sigh, a tear, angry, outspokenness, and all the other words that have assisted me in the various stages of my life. My main genre is Science Fiction based on Star Trek. I also dabble in erotic fiction and have been bold enough as of late to combine the two to result in a stunning copulation of creation. The works will be published as a blog soon. As a writer of Star Trek fiction, I am aware that I have a limited fan base. That never stopped me from getting involved with various play by email games that center around a main 'plot' and have several writers from around the world that contribute with their characters and weave a wonderful story.

Our Boys In Blue
Meeting up with old friends is one of the joys of life I've come to find. My Prom Date and I went out last night to catch up after 7 years of not seeing each other. We had a blast after he got all the stories of the horrors he has had to see while on the job. He is an NYC Police Officer, has seen so many babies dead. The last one he took out of a mop bucket 8 months old, the boyfriend could not sleep so he killed his own flesh and blood. It is depressing, but it is part of the job. We talked for hours about his move, about how we were when we were younger. And how still after all this time how well we get along. I guess I'm saying that I have a new respect for the boys in blue, knowing what they really have to see on a daily basis.

I Got Cut And Stretched!
As some of you already know, I got a new haircut. This is an event for me, because in order for me to get such a dramatic change in my hair, means something big is happening in my life. Good Morning…What is outrageous to you? Thanx to a cool friend I was able to see Doro Pesch!! We went after I got out work, man my feet were killing from standing all day but it was sure worth it!! JOHNNY IS DOING OKAY. DOCTORS ARE GLAD TO SEE HIM PROGRESSING. JOHNNY IS STILL GOT THE RASH, RUNNING FEVERS UP TO 104, AND STILL BREATHING TO HARD. JOHNNY WAS PLAYING CARS WITH DADDY. DOCTORS MOVED JOHNNY TO PICU ON MONDAY. THE REASON IS BECAUSE OF HIM BREATHING HARD. TUESDAY MORNING GOT A CALL AT 6AM FROM THE DOCTOR THAT THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO PUT HIM ON THE VENTILATOR TO HELP HIM BREATH AND TO HELP GIVE HIS BODY THE REST IT NEEDS FOR THE NEW CELLS TO TAKE OVER. TODAY THEY STOPPED THE SEDATION. HE WAS BEING SEDATED BECAUSE THEY WERE AFRAID HE WOULD PULL THE BREATHING TUBE OUT. THE LOWERED THE RATE OF THE MACHINE BECAUSE THE RESULTS FROM THE BLOOD GAS TEST WERE SHOWING IMPROVEMENTS. HE CAN'T SEE US BUT HE CAN HEAR AND FEEL US THAT WE ARE THERE WITH HIM. Shrimp Remoulde
4 stalks celery, coarsely chopped 4 green onions, chopped 1 small onion, chopped 3/4 cup Italian flat leaf parsley 1/2 cup red wine vinegar 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup tomato puree 1/2 cup Creole mustard 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 1/8 cups vegetable oil 2 teaspoons paprika 2 pounds large cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined 12 lettuce leaves In the container of a food processor, combine the celery, green onions, onion and parsley. Pulse until finely chopped. Add the vinegar, ketchup, tomato puree, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Process until well blended, stopping to scrape down the sides a couple of times. With the food processor running, drizzle the oil in a steady stream, processing until blended. Stir in paprika. Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours, or overnight. When ready to serve, stir the sauce, then pour over the shrimp and toss to coat. Serve on top of lettuce leaves.

A Journey Ends.. Another Begins Anew...
Well... It has happened. I no longer hold a collar to Master Mirror. I suppose it was going to happen at some point.. It always does. Though I do not regret loosing the collar. Perhaps he was right in his words.. I do not need him anymore. And perhaps even I do not need a Master at all anymore. The experience I had in serving him was both intense and wonderful. Hi all I hope your Thursday is a good one?? Mine has been OK. The mower guys came yesterday and finally mowed our yard! The grass was up to our knees!!! They had to come back today and finish it, so they got done about 8 or so. I paid them and that was that. I can't believe they didn't show up til the 20Th to do our yard! Goodness, had me worried, that is the last thing that we need is a $200 fine for our grass!!!! Well had a busy day, had to pay on our loan, but they got robbed this morning! So going to go pay them tomorrow, and take out money for hubby for the next two weeks! He had a stressful and crummy day! He got a load going to close to Chicago, IL. Well he was supposed to be loaded at around 1pm or so, maybe 3 at the latest, well he didn't get loaded until 7:30 pm!! Hey guys,I just wanted to give you all a heads up on my vacation. I am going to Disney as of this sunday sooo ya won't see me for a week. Any of ya gonna miss me? I have needed a vacation for a pretty long time now because of certain family issues that have been going on and work. Some of you know exactly what i'm talking about.
