Never Take For Granted
Well today has been really scary for me. Well it sorta started yesterday but I just blew it off and didn't think much of it. There is a story that goes with this one. We are both diabetic and have other health issues. When I went to meet her for the first time she was in the hospital. Choctaw Creation Myth
The Choctaw who remain in Mississippi tell this story as an explanation of how they came to the land where they live now and of how Naniah Waiya Mound came to be. Two brothers, Chata and Chicksah led the original people from a land in the far west that had ceased to prosper. The people traveled for a long time, guided by a magical pole. I only got an 82% on the test. I stayed up all night studying fro it. I spent lots of time studying other than that too. So it's kinda dissapointing. Where Do I Even Begin?
Okay so last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Hot Import Nights at the Philly Convention Center. The vehicles there were freakin fascinating! That alone made me wish I had more discretionary income ($20 word people!). I even had my first Bison burger at Buffalo Billards. That was pretty cool. This weekend after smashing my finger in my car door (Yes, I sent Mensa my application) I had a chance to attend Blue and Blue Day with some friends at Chestnut Hill Academy (Its a Philly thing people). Mini Golf Friday, May 18, 2007
Last night, Joe treated Andrew and me to eighteen holes at the local miniature golf course. We arrived there around 9pm, hoping they would still be open. They were! Yay! There was an "unofficial" bet placed that Joe would wipe up the greens with us. LOLOL! By the end of the first nine holes, it was obvious who was doing the greens wiping! Andrew had TWO holes in one in the first nine holes! Joe and I tried to keep up with him......well, we got an A for effort, but couldn't catch up. In a little side note, someone put laundry detergent in the waterfall at the back of the golf course. There is a little river attached to the waterfall, that runs all through the golf course. There was foam everywhere! It looked like fresh mounds of snow. Snow in May! Can you imagine? LOL We had a wonderful time! And the winner was.......Andrew! I Never Got To Say Goodbye
I was doing something simple, taking out my trash and i noticed something very odd. No noise, nor light comming from my neighbor's apartment. Well my neighbor down the way. Then i saw the lights completely off and the windows all closed off and only the living room blinds half open. The place completely empty. Talk about shock. He was here two days ago! I get a lot of compliments on my smile, and to be honest, I just don't get it. I'm not getting down on myself or anything but I'd be less surprised to receive compliments on other things. "All good things come to an end." I never thought graduation would come so soon till it hit me two days ago when we were picking up our cap and gowns. It's finally here, we're finally done with EVERYTHING. Anxious, excited, petrified and at the same time depressing..the kind you'd feel right before your wedding. These are the people that got me through 4 years at the s'wood..4 LONGGG years. All the laughs we've had, all the tears and heartbreaks we got through with each other. Fri Night Test And Tune 5/18
Ok a crew of us were headin up to Holt for some test and tune time. All are street cars, what was supposed to be goin was a 1996 Mustang 5.0, 1996 Saab 9000 Turbo, 2004 Ford Focus,1991 Mits Eclipse Turbo, 1990 Mits Eclipse GSX Turbo and My 1985 Ranger Turbo It was a good and bad night for all. I wanted to take some time and write a blog for all my friends that don't seem to know whats going on in my life. For those of yous that don't know April 30 I drove down to Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Ontario to pick my mom up. Its been almost three years since I seen my mom. We had one of those movie airport meetings you know where they throw there bags and run to each other. My mom ended up hitting a lady by mistake but the lady just kept on walking. Stupid Things People Say
I walked into my pool place today to pick up more chlorine and get my water tested. While testing my water, the guy behind the counter looks at the lady working with him and says..."I hate Chinese people." Now I know that he was probably talking about the people that own the Chinese restaurant next door, but it irritated me. I was very obviously in earshot. It was rude. Oh, and had he asked he would've found out...I'm part Chinese. Doh! Needless to say, I won't be shopping there again. Not when there's another pool store 5 more minutes down the road. To be clear, I wasn't offended because I was Chinese...I was offended by the ignorance of the person behind the counter who thought it would be appropriate to denigrate another culture in front of random strangers. Pulling Out Carpet
well i finally did it! got rid of the nasty carpet that was here when we moved in. took me all day and i'm still removing the tack strips and staples from the wood floor. now to decide what design in tile i want to lay down. too bad the wood flooring beneath is badly damaged. ah well anything is better than that carpet. *shudder*

I've Come To An Odd Conclusion

I would like to thanks all of those people who vote this past Nov. on passing the smoking law. Now I do not smoke but I work at a place where most of the customers do smoke. This law went active this past Thursday and since than the place I work at has drop in bussiness. If this kepts going I can see my hours also drop and than I will have to get me a scond job. So not only with the price of gas going up but my hours will go down so it will be harder to kept working where I work and I might have to either leave it or find me a second job. I do hope that someone out their sees how this law is just wrong and changes it soon. This is just another reason why I hate ohio and went to move out. Stairs - My Natural Enemy?
Well if you know me then what i am going to say next won't surprise you too much! I sprained my ankle again!! That's right I have now sprained one of my ankles 4 times since November. I root of all my pain are two things my lack of grace and my stairs to the 3rd floor - they are slick and lean forward so I fall down them often! Why Do I Even Bother
How much Drama can one guy go threw before he snaps? How many more times am i going to get close to someone just to get pushed away again? how many times am i going to pick up the pieces of my heart and attempt to keep on going? Not Fair
When I was a kid the playgrounds that I played on were sand blacktop, or a combination of them...When you were playing on the monkey bars and fell you learned not to fall again really quick.....when you fell off anything you either had the wind knocked out of you...or you recieved some kinda injury that taught you to be tougher......I took my son to school and looked at there playground and it was a rubber material under everything...I watched a little kid fall off the monkey bars, take a bounce, and get up and proceed to do the exact same thing again...now I am all for making kids safer...but I always thought that the blacktop and sand were an important and humiliating lesson...they toughened you....they gave you cool scars...good memories and lessons on how to administer first aid on your self...now we are teaching our kids to be wusses and that it is ok to do the same stupid stunt over and over because you will just bounce

Day 2 0719 am Well day 2 back in the states. Doesn't seem to be getting any easier yet. Seriously Contemplative
I'm so deep in thought right now. I have alot going on with my health. Funny, ever notice that ALOT of folks here have serious health issues? Thankfully mine are serious but I do have to have surgery in July. I've been healthy as a horse most of my life and in the last 4 yrs I've had more health problems than I can count on one hand. Two knee surgeries endured, more to follow and now this. Course theres more mixed in but I won't go into details. So I sit and ramble. This is the stuff that makes me cherish my life and appreciate what I have. I'll be .. *gasp* ... 35 this year and I feel it coming full throttle. Any suggestions to help me feel young???
