Another vacation week has come and gone, and instead of going away, and calming down somewhere, possibly in a warmer climate, I once again spent my entire week WORKING. Why, you ask? Over the last few days I have seen some things that have pretty much crushed my faith in human nature. With the exception of a few very close friends, my faith in people as a whole, has faded to nil. I have watched people give others advice, berate, degrade, and otherwise set out to fully humiliate other human beings. Their excuse? This is the net.. its not real. If this is not real, what is everyone doing here, and two, if it isnt real then who is that on the other side of the screen typing. And if it isnt real, how can you tell someone you luv them, or care for them, or understand where they are coming from. People on the internet are real. They have feelings. Pissing Off Tiger
This morning I woke up and couldn't remember the alarm going off. I asked Tiger did you have the alarm on, he mumbles I thought I did. I get up, get coffee going, let my dog out. Sit at my computer. Life gets tough especially when you are a single mother (or father for those out there) of kids. I respect all single mothers and fathers out there for trying to raise their kids on their own with or without the other parent present. I am a single mother of two beautiful children. Even though I do have a wonderful fiance, I don't expect him to help me raise my daughters at all. After all they are my responsiblity, not his. My children both love their biological dad. Plans For Sunday
Well... first of all, I am watching the SF 49ers vs NY Giants football game in a few minutes ... and then immediately after that I will be watching my Seattle Seahawks play against the Rams.... another 6 hours of football for this Sunday afternoon. How My Day Played Out..
So besides the whole fitzone thing I took care of a few things that I had been putting off for awhile.. including getting my insurance for my car, and my plates changed over from Hawaii to Michigan.. (goodbye rainbow plates) I also went to the bank..and spent what felt like YEARS in traffic! lol.. After all that was finally said and done, I went and picked up Cher and we went to a place in Livonia to get my hair cut because I haven't had it cut professionally in 5 years? .. soo.. Yes, I live in the IE of southern california. Thankfully no fire has hit the city of Rancho Cucamonga as of yet. Due to the magnatude of the current fires that are raging in southern california, both the Governor Arnold schwarzenegger and President George Bush declares a state of Emergency for southern california. My aunt, uncle, and two cousens were on Manditory evacuation from their San Diego home. My aunt and two cousens left, however, my uncle, decided to stay with the house. The fire came 1 mile from their home. Thankfully they are all safe and sound and allowed to return home.

have a finally found a guy that is perfect for me? way too early to decide of course, but I always speculate rather early. this guy is incredible! a true complete and utter gentleman! gentle, kind, innocent-like, and we seem to have SO much in common its almost a little scary! Thoughts On Yungins On Myspace (long Response To Another Blog)
myspace is a subculture in itself (much like fubar) - but at least in fubar's case,while I have spotted a teenager or two on here (at least they seem to be by their pics), it *seems* for the most part, a lot less encouraging of youth as myspace is. The provocative dress, belly/crotch shots that are popular on myspace reflects bored teenagers on a slippery slope. If its among friends @ school, I figure its mostly harmless...have a "private" (ha ha) profile, only add known people --- myspace makes it easy enough to have a closed "clique" of friends. When used in that manner, I don't care *what* they do online. B4 myspace, they had polaroids. But when the profile is public and sexualized --- THAT'S what gets creepy. Grandson's Struggles
Dear Blog, Im here today with a weighted heart, as you know dear blog, my children and grandchildren are the core of life. My Grandson has been sick, and has been a concern with me for a long time. He is only 15 months old and has been on antibiotics so much since he was born. Which is never a good sign. It is one of the most over used man made drug there is. He was a preemie when born and it seems he has always struggled with one thing or another, from sleep apnea to infections. He has had his adenoids removed. He is scheduled to have tubes in ears this Wednesday. I am sure they will wait now becuase of the lab work. His latest illness has added a yeast infection from all the antibiotics. My daughter went back to the doctor today to find out the results of his test he had done recently. They are making him an appointment at Rileys children Hospital with a specialist. I dont know where to start.... I love her, and now shes gone. She was my first thought in the morning and the last thought at Night, she was my Princess, she was my Marina. Ugh!
Today has kinda sucked! A couple of months ago my middle son got kicked out of school for various reasons... He's no saint by any means but the reasons they gave were really lame. So, today my youngest has been being harassed really bad by this kid... the faculty did nothing to help him. Well yesterday they got in a fight. So, I get a phone call from the principal today telling me they are kicking my kid out!!! The other kid? Nothing not even suspended!!! Why you ask... because the principal is sleeping with that kid's mom! I am sooooo pissed about this! You Gotta Do What You Gotta Do!
If you don't like TMI, then read no further... Some folks who know a bit about me know my Dad died when I was 25 and he was 55. He developed cancer of the colon, had it removed but it had spread already when they found it. He lived about two years after they first found cancer... His sister died of cancer of the colon in her late 30's. So depending on the research you look at, I have a 75 to 90% chance of developing cancer of the colon as it typically seems to run on the paternal side of families, etc. So Tuesday morning, I will have my fifth colonoscopy since I turned 25. So far, they have found no problems and I'm thankful for that. The preparation isn't pleasant, but it's necessary. And since they dope you up for the procedure, it's relatively painless. Oh and for those so inclined, the air they put in to you makes for some spectacular farts later! LOL And you have to be able to pass gas before you can leave the hospital or clinic!! A Trip To The Hospital
Oh me and my stubborn ass. I went to workout today thinking that i can start off where i left off which was about a MONTH ago, but I did try to take it easy. I worked my arms, and some abs for a bit. I went downstairs to the counter and requested the racquetball gear. Just then I felt light headed. I asked for a Powerade. Next thing I remember was someone was smacking me in the face, "Dude. you okay?" I thought I was dreaming and was about to nod back off when he was like no no no. Bastard. So they took off my headphones, put a towel on the back of my head. . .and from what I hear I hit hard enough that i bounced up and hit again. They put me on the board which was very uncomfortable. It took about 20 minutes to get to the hospital. It didnt take long to get processed and my head and chest Xrayed. I was a smartass from the time I regain conscienous. I was out maybe a minute. Hi Everyone! Mommy has been busy trying to get things ready for when I come home and I guess no news is good news right. Well Saturday night when the nurse weighed me I was 3 lbs 2 oz. And doing good still having my spells, then on Sunday night Mommy was there when I was weighed again and I was 3 lbs 4oz, still having a few spells but I self corrected as the nurse said.I didn't really feel like being touched so I fussed at mommy a little but I also smiled alot at her when she talked to me. I went to prom last night. Not with a high-schooler, mind you. I went to Work Prom. I know what you're thinking: An employer hosting Prom sounds fucking ridiculous. And you're right. A Cold And Chilly Day....
Brrr. Today is one of those brutally cold days. On and off rain....bone chillingly cold. Makes me want to stay in bed and sleep..which I pretty much do anyways. Some days it seems like it's finally going my way. Kids are listening ... bills are paid ... something good cooking for dinner ... the job isn't overly stressful. Others aren't quite like that. 1/2 recipe Sugar Cookie Dough, at room temperature, chilled Confectioner's sugar, for rolling 1/2 cup seedless raspberry or cherry jam 36 canned or jarred whole dark cherries in syrup, drained Equipment: Non-stick mini-muffin tin Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Sprinkle a work surface and rolling pin with confectioner's sugar and roll out dough to 1/8-inch thick. Move dough frequently to prevent it from sticking and add more confectioner's sugar to the work surface and rolling pin as needed. Using a round cookie cutter the same diameter as the top of the muffin tin cups (about 2 inches), cut 36 rounds of dough. Gently press a dough round into each muffin cup and press evenly into the sides and bottom of the cup. Continue with remaining dough rounds. Bake until set and edges are light golden, about 10-12 minutes. Let cool in the pan completely before removing with a small offset spatula. Heat the jam in a small saucepan over medium heat until melted. Add the cherries
