Warmth Of The Past...
Remember when you were younger, and your mother would always have hot chocolate or warm tea waiting for you when you came inside on a cool day??? Is amazing how that feeling carries over even when your older. I seem to comfort myself with the warmth of the memory. Recently, me and my kids found a cat with 7 kittens and even though we knew we couldn't take that much on we began to feed them..of course now, they won't leave lol...Unfortunately, there are only 5 kittens left- 2 died early on...they are adorable though..they live under our back porch and under the house- the manage to find a way under there to keep warm..It's a ritual every day for us to go in the morning before school and feed them and after school...my youngest son who is autistic will talk to them, it's soo cute..he opens up and says alot ...it makes him in better spirits when he has had a rough day...

HELLO TO ALL AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE IT. Actually here, in Lithuania, traditions differ much from your western ones. Being mostly Catholic nation, Lithuanians tend to have less fun in any of the festivities. We don't have Halloween as a such. We celebrate ALL SAINTS DAY (November 1) and ALL SOULS DAY (November 2)by going to a church for a mass (those who are more practicing Catholics) and the rest have a 'duty' to visit all relatives' tombs wherever they might be. So all country starts travelling to the smallest village cemetries to visit their grandparents and great-grandparents in that way. They bring flowers, and candles and in the evenings the whole cemetry looks like a small separate town with lots of lights on. There is no fear, no haunting, no scaring over these days; only memories, attention and very peaceful, spiritual atmosphere, with huge family reunions. This is what I wanted to share with you today. This is the second weekend in a row that I have taken my kids to BUFFALO WILD WINGS ... and they really seem to enjoy it so much... Weather
Well what a week this has been.... I would call it the week from hell if it wasn't so cold.....I lost power on Monday and just got it back today... I decided I would not have made a very good pioneer woman.... I am much too prissy and spoiled to have done that.... I have to have my blow dryers, hot baths, and creature comforts.... I can't feel too sorry for myself though because there are still over 100,000 people without power here in Oklahoma.... Some may not have power for another week or two.... So I consider myself lucky when I look it the big picture.... It could always be worse.... You just don't appreciate electricity until you don't have it when you need it.... I for one will always remember the "Great Ice Storm of 2007" I am finally getting warm again.... What a great feeling that is.

New Year
A new year and new beginnings, right? Sort of... I am thrilled that 2007 is over. Last year was a whirl-wind of ups, downs, screw-ups, joys, and sorrows. I don't regret any of it, and hopefully I have learned from my mistakes accordingly. So far 2008 has given me new hope, new friends [[hugs them all]], and a new peace of mind that was not their previously. I feel more change in the air. I know it's coming. I am actually looking forward to the upcoming semester. I received two of my text books in the mail today: 1. Applied Linear Regression Models 2. An Introduction to Behavioral Endocrinology. I have to take an undergraduate class that the department requires, and of course my thesis/research class. I also think I'm finally adjusting to my medication. It's taken 2 1/2 months, but I'm finally good with everything. That is all.

Why Do I Try So Hard?
I dont know, I know this is a bad way to start out 2008, but I cant help but feel as if I should maybe stop tryin to show love where it isn't wanted. All I keep gettin it pain and heartache, and that isnt what love is about. He knows how much he means to me, what I wouldnt do for him, and yet, there is still something in him that I fight for. Why? I dont know. But Im getting tired of trying and putting so much into something that he doesn't believe in. Yes, he is my best friend and he claims I am his. Bad News
I know this isn't the best News to start out with something sad but I dont' know how long my eyes will last before they need the operations on them... I saw my Diabetic Eye Doctor and I have cataracts in both eyes, due to my Diabetes and suffering dry eyes. I am scare of it a little bit, the Doctor told me if my eyes get worse, there is a surgery for them and one at a time. Though most Diabetics go blind adventurally. I now, really dislike Diabetes, if it wasn't for the polyneuropathy that has 50 % of my body in certain areas and now my eyes are going. I love reading, now that will be another thing to lose, unless I can find a partner to read to me... I love doing alot of things like writing Poetry to writing short and long Stories. I do alot of Arts and Crafts, I also love painting and playing my electric keybroad. I just ran across an old pair of boots I've had for maybe 15 years. I never really liked them but they were steel toed boots that I got for free at work and I brought them home in case I got into something here at the house where they might be useful. When It Rains It Pours
Like they say, "when it rains, it pours". First I just found out today that my spine surgen will be doing eploritory surgery on my lower spine, right where he did the previous work. The fusion part of my surgery is deterating, and I am running the risk of the screws and pins snapping in there from the weight of my body. This will be takeing place in about a month or so. he will go in my back asess the damage and then fix it right there. Which means cleaning out the fusion that is left and redoing it with a bone graft from my hip, and possibly new screws and pins. Second today I found out that my Insurance was cancled because my employer is nolonger useing IBA HealthPlans. alright, so i bombed out on an audition that i got begged into doing when i wasn't at all prepared. at first i was broken, musics the one thing ive always been good at. I just got a phone call that they are currently admitting my PaPa in the hospital. He has pneumonia, the flu and possible congestive heart failure. The worst part of all of this is that he already has a pace maker and only 40% of his heart is working. So his health is very poor to begin with. The doctor said he is a very sick man right now. Rules And Torture, And Stuff
So, what's first? God always come first right? lol I take some and put them on a plane. I put a parachute on them, then I push them out over Africa. One Year Anniversary
Tuesday is mine and my fiance one year anniversary and I am so stoked. This is the first relationship where I am happy to be with someone for a year and nothing bad has happened. I would never in my entire life make fun of someones child, let alone someone's child who is autistic. I teach a drama class for 10 autistic children and they are the lights of my life. They are absolutly amazing kids and to be accused of making fun of an autistic child makes me sick to my stomach. Another Weekend Of Pain.
Well here I sit again at home. For some of you that do not know I have been out of work since around NOV. I fucked up my back at work. I have a bulged disc. They have tried everything to get it to heal but nothing has worked. Tried physical therapy and that did more harm than good. Taken so many meds I could start my own pharmcy. The past two weeks I have been getting injections put into my back. The hope was they might relieve the disc and let it slide back in. Well the only relief it gave was a few hours away from the bad pain. I have had surgery on my back before and I know what is coming soon. Frankly at this point I want the surgery just to hopefully be a end to the pain I suffer every minute of everyday. It has been horrible to say the least. I try my best to keep up a good spirit but wont lie and say it has been so. The pain has left me at times feeling like a child lost in a forest wanting to find a way out. It eats away at me. Well Today, I took a drawing seriously. The subject was an amateur portuguese model I found on DeviantArt, I'll be talking to her about maybe drawing more of her, and uploading those pictures. She has GREAT dynamic poses, and ... this is one hell of a way to work on my figure drawing skills, shading technique, and discipline, which, I will openly admit are abysmal. It won't stop me from continuing to draw her if she declines, I just won't POST IT anywhere. At the moment, there are 3 phases of the drawing posted in my default album. Hate is a strong word that a fair amount of people tend to avoid during their daily life. Why? It's an absolute, and nobody likes absolutes. Absolutes always preface a long, written out dissertation in explanation. With that out of the way.....I graded papers this weekend. I wanted to cry. I hate people that only write with text messaging lingo. I don't care if somebody uses "ur" instead of "you're" when they are messaging somebody, but if that person uses "ur" in a formal paper, I get frustrated. This has nothing to do with writing elitism or anything like that-it's a simple matter of writing properly in a world where proper writing is a cornerstone of learning. I don't ever remember my preschool teacher looking at me and saying "LOL, you can use 'k' instead of 'okay.' l8ter." This writing ailment isn't confined to a single group, either. I can honestly say I've seen articles from every grade level that has had one of these errors, so don't pretend to be above this
