Back In Prespective
Well i know its been quite awhile since any of yall heard from me. Theres been alot of changes going on here and me dealing with some personal problems. Also in a investment i thought was a sure thing, i got ripped out of 500 bucks. But its my fault i shoulda investagated the guy before sending him that kinda cash. That Scans...
Downloaded Symantec anti-virus as part of a university/work-related software package and am using it to check my computer- only some Windows-related viruses found so far, but will take maybe 8 hours to check the rest of my external drive (and probably the same for my internal, but may do that later tonight). Anyhow, sooner begun, sooner done. In other news, a yearly project has come 'round again and someone at the department I work at has money to fund it (and wants to pay to do it - and is willing to have me work on it) and so I will have work at Cornell after all for a few weeks in the next two months, starting in a few weeks and ending in December. After that, it depends on what other projects come in - they haven't been, yet.

My Week Of Meetings Have Finished
Finally ... I got home from my staff meeting 75 miles away and I am done with work for the week. Blasts, Vip's, Tickers...
This is my opinion, so please respect it, as I respect yours... Contests, Blasts, VIP's, Tickers... I don't mind helping with all of these things as I can. I am a single mother trying to raise 2 teenagers with no child support at all. I get up at 4:30a and am out the door by 6a for work, somedays I have a couple hours to spend bombing others I don't. Some days I'm home by 5pm some I'm not. I have bought blasts, VIP's and tickers for people when I can, but first things first, my kids and the things they need. Chemo Sucks
Just in case anyone has wondered why I fell off the face of the earth, this is the reason why. My yearly check up found a spot in my left breast and the cleveland clinic found another lump during intense testing. I had a huge 10cm mass removed in October, and I started chemotherapy on Nov 1st. The hair is falling out, I am losing weight, and feel like i was hit by a truck. But, I will survive the process and get a new set of boobs out it next fall. Hey all. Nice to see some new and some not so new friends on my page. Wish someone would comment and say hi. I am getting a little lonely here! What's the deal people! Holidays around my house have been going pretty well. I am trying to be a jovial person. Some times that is hard because I don't really get along with my "outlaws." They are just not my kind of people. They are always concerned with money, material things and also what people think of them. To tell you the truth, sometimes I really don't care what people think of me. I guess it depends on the situation. If it has to do with the way people see my at work, then I guess I do care. Health Update
I have been to my local hospital to see my consultant today for the first time regarding my carpal tunnel syndrome. I had various tests on my arms and hands, but I have been referred for nerve conductivity tests because my consultant could not say 100% that my problems are carpal tunnel related. There is a slight doubt that it could be caused by arthritis though even this he could not be sure about. I have been told that I will have to wait between 2 – 8 weeks for my latest tests, but would be able to have decompression surgery on my wrists if that what is needed fairly soon afterwards. My operations will not take place at my local hospital but in Hexham. This will mean that instead of travelling 2 miles, I will have to travel 25 miles for my ops. To be honest I am not bothered about the distance rather I would have them sooner than later.

I cant believe how quick today is going. There is just so much to do. Cleaning and decorating. Beef Diablo
3 pounds beef arm or boneless pot roast (up to 4 lb) 3 potatoes -- peeled and sliced 1 onion -- sliced 2 tablespoons flour 1 tablespoon prepared mustard 1 tablespoon chili sauce 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon vinegar 1 teaspoon sugar serves 4 to 6 Trim all excess fat from roast. Place potatoes and onion in bottom of Crock-Pot. Make a smooth paste of flour, mustard, chili sauce, Worchestershire sauce, vinegar, and sugar. Best Week Ever

Wondering Where I Am?
The hard-drive on my laptop crashed...which sent me into a state of sheer panic. Not sure what to do with myself when I'm not online. 2007 My Top Picks Albums - Not in order, but sum it up. Tech N9ne "Misery Loves Kompany" - A good Tech album, not to the level of Everready, but a damn good album for the year. Well worth picking up and giving a listen if you are a fan of tech Dropkick Murphy's "The Meanest of Times" - An awesome DKM album. This is a good one that can be listened to at the drunkest of times. Its damn good sober too. A good album Suicide Silence "The Cleansing" - Great Metal album. It is hard from start to finish and leaves nothing to be wondered about. You know this album is going to come at you hard and fast from start to finish. Terminator The Sara Connor Chronicles
Watched the pilot for this tonight. They do an excellent job of staying true to the movies. My favorite character is the terminator played by Summer Glau, River from Josh Whedon's Firefly. Taco Hotdogs
I'm sure someone else thought of this, but today I made something that I'll call a taco hotdog. I brought a pot of water to a boil and added a teaspoon of cooking oil, pinch of salt and dabbed some Worcester sauce. Threw in the hot dogs for about 10 minutes and then I yanked them out with a fork. I opened up some hotdog buns and put them in the toaster until they were hot and crispy. Then I placed the hotdog in the bun, added sharp cheddar, mild salsa and Ortega taco sauce. It was good. If anyone happens to try this, let me know how it turns out for you.

INGREDIENTS: * 4 frozen rock lobster tails, about 6 to 8 ounces each, butterflied * 1/4 cup melted butter * 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice * 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel * 1/4 teaspoon salt * dash ground ginger * dash paprika * lemon wedges PREPARATION: Place thawed lobster tails on broiler pan, shell side down. Combine butter, lemon juice, orange peel, salt, ginger and paprika. Brush over lobster tail meat. Backtaxes
So I like to goto H & R or Jackson and Hewitt to do my taxes every year, even though it's just a 1040 EZ I get the G.I. Bill for my active service and like to be careful about how that effects my income. I went to H & R Block "tax professionals" last year to do my taxes and apparently they weren't supposed to itemize my G.I. Bill, which she did anyway ..basically the tax professionals screwed up my 1040 EZ tax form. I was in there the other day and I owed 92 in taxes, which isn't bad, when she decided to review last years tax return on file, she went into a dead panic and got her supervisor who told me that they are going to have to file an ammendment to last years taxes on top of this years tax return to the tune of about 260.00 for their mistake, that they will cover the penalties, but I will owe them 53.00 for their services. Honestly folks, if they can't get a 1040 EZ tax form right, would you trust them with your mortgage? Think next year I'll goto Jackson & Hewitt.

Ouch!!!
ok. so for those of you that dont know, im not feeling too great right now. a few days ago i went into the emergency room because my face was really swollen and hurt ALOT. they said i have a staph infection. which really really sucks. they gave me pain meds and antibiotics. bleh. the tabs didnt work too well. :( well today i woke up and my face was even more swollen than it had been. it hurt a lot more and was just getting worse and worse. i decided to go back to the emergency room. thank god they decided to "fix" it. but they had to do a minor surgery to do that. it got worse than it should have in just a few days. nonetheless, im in a little bit less pain for right now. i wont be goin out for a while. lol. thats for sure. im just hoping that they dont have to do anything else to it. i passed out when they were working on it. the pain was super intense. anywho. for those who care ill keep yall updated on whats goin on. Trip To London
I am going to London on Wednesday for three nights. Going to have a short break in the capital and take in some culture with the family. Traveling down by train and will arrive around 10PM. On Thursday we will be visiting the O2 Dome to see the 'King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs' exhibition. On Friday we will be visiting the British Museum to see the 'China's Terracotta Army' exhibition. We are also hoping to take a trip on the London Eye as we have not done this before, should be fun! We will be traveling back on Saturday and probably arrive home by late Afternoon. Been looking forward to this and hopefully will have a great time!

Minor Surgery
Gonna be heading to the hospital in about a half hour for minor sugery. Its an out patient procedure so I'll be home today but I probably won't be back online. They told need about 3 days bed rest. My FRG leader is taking me and bringing me home and will be checking in on me to make sure I'm ok. She's also going to help the girls color Easter eggs Saterday. Family Revisited
