My Familly + Friends Etc.

Bush Reatard At It Again!
At that point they required me to submit my thumbprint to them. I complained about the lack of freedom in this state and asked them why they just didn't tell everyone that in order to get a drivers license in their state we would need to bring in a suitcase full of ID,s as well as blood and urine samples to go with our thumbprints!! The supervisor then informed me that as of May 2008 that won't be necessary as every state will require (as per Federal Law) every driver to go to the DMV and obtain a FEDERAL ID number which will be implanted in the hand of the individual!!!! They ACTUALLY told me this at the DMV! Apparently, several years ago the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT tried to get a law passed requiring everyone to receive a FEDERAL ID NUMBER. When we are fed upon a diet of lies and deceit there is no path to follow ,that will take us where we need to go The only way that we as a people can come to any kind of insightful decision, is to trash what we have been taught, and look instead to the individual actions of each person we deal with. The results of their actions and especially the intent of their actions I believe that intent is the only true thing to base your decisions upon.

Her Struggle
All she has ever wanted was to love and be loved. Something she missed out on as she was growing up. In her search for love she has given it in everything she has done. I hurt. I don't feel good at all. I had two biopsies and an immunization today. I can't recall exactly what the procedure was caleld but I had to have them look INSIDE my cervix. I met "hotrodguy" pretty much right after joining CT and am very thankful for such a good friend. Okay so The Family and Children's services just called to do some kind of damned follow up. She questioned as to why I wanted emergency medicaid and when I told her she made me feel like shit. And I told her that just because I was a citizen and didn't have a child didn't mean that they could discriminate against me. She said that my diabeties wasn't a life or death situation. 6 shots a day...I wonder what would be considered life and death. So yeah... I've been a busy busy lil Munky! Thursday I went to my nieces' softball game after work. Got home around 7:30 messed around for a little bit on here then got ready for bed. Friday... went to work... came home and left for ANOTHER softball game, came home got around for bed. My Mother
In 1993, the east was hit with a major snow storm. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania had gotten over 23 inches of snow in less then 24 hours. Long Distance Relationship?
My girlfriend and I have been dating for around 2 years now and I feel that we are really in love with each other. We respect each other thoroughly and support each other with our decisions. The thing is, she just got accepted to a Dr program that is on the west coast while I currently live on the east coast. At first I was sort of devastated, but I am completely supportive of her as I know she really likes the program. However, she made the suggestion that after a year, I should go to the west coast, but after considering it, I told her it wasn't feasible for my career goals for the short length of time I'd be there. She's really hesitant about the long distance thing, but I'm still very supportive of her. How can I give her more positive words so he won't base his decision solely on the fact that this will be a long distance relationship for nearly 5 years? --Is Long Distance Worth It?

Feeling Better, Found My Peace
I found my peace while in the mountains of NC. And I thank God nightly for the men and women fighting so that I may have that peace. One day it was 95 with very high humidity. And I feel lousy...it's too hot. And stupid as it may sound, it hit me...this is nothing compared to what they suffer through daily over in Iraq and Afghanistan (and all of the other war torn areas we try to save). And the heat didn't feel as intense...and I stopped feeling sorry for myself...and started feeling for the soldiers who feel real hardship and life-threatening danger. i just sent this letter to the local paper, the burlington free press: I found your decision to place a photo of Father Searles, a man who has never hurt anyone, above the headline "Priest-Abuse Trial Opens" highly offensive. Your choice of photo creates a guilt by association effect on an innocent man. 2 cups cooked and cubed chicken 1 can (11 0z) whole kernel corn withred and green peppers- drained 1 can (10 3/4) condensed cream of chicken soup 2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese (i used cheddar too.. doesnt matter just needs cheese) 2 1/4 cups bisquick mix (original bisquick) 2/3 cups milk 1. heat oven to 375* 2. mix chicken, corn, soup, and cheese in an 8x8x2 swuare baking dish. 3. stir bisquick miz and milk til soft dough forms. turn dough onto flourr dusted surface. knead 10 times, roll til 1/2 inch thick. cut with 2 1/2 inch cutter (or a round glass/cup) 4. place biscuits on top of chicken mix. 5. nbake 20 -25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown

As for those of you that know me from either talking to me or reading my blogs, I am currently staying at my sister's house till I go back to Germany at the end of August. Lightning!!!
So, on my way home from work today, you'll never believe what happened to me.... I stopped by Walmart to pick up some food, and when I was leaving, it was raining. On my way to the car, my umbrella gets STRUCK BY LIGHTNING!!!! It was kinda scary, but WAY awesome at the same time. There was electricity just circling my hand and wrist around the base of the umbrella. I was so awestruck just watching this happen, that I didn't even realize what happened to me until it was over. So, I went to the emergency room, and they took x-rays of my hand, and all is okay. My hand hurts and I gotta headache, but otherwise healthy as can be. Oh yeah, and my handwriting sucks right now, but other than that, I'm good. NOT TO MENTION LUCKY!!!!! It could have been SOOOO much worse. So, hugz to all. Time for bed. Night night.

I wrote a bunch of notes about the American Idol performances -- but then ran out of time to blog about everything. But I would have predicted Haley leaving tonight -- and Phil being in the bottom 3. I loved the advice J.Lo gave to the American Idol contestants. And I actually thought Sanjaya did a good job -- his best performance up to this point. For me this is a night where sleeping seems impossible. I woke up quite suddenly after only about an hour of sleeping with a flood of memories of clients past. Update..
Well my cousin is still in ICU, she is listed in Stable condition now, but the nurses and doctors said that she could take a turn for the worse.. She now has fluid in her lungs, and is still on the machine that breaths for her.. She is still delusional... She is taking small baby steps to recovery, but it is going to be a very long road.. she is not out of the woods, and wont be for a long time.. Im not sure if I mentioned it in my last blog or not, but when she was put in ICU they gave her an IV in her main artery(by the heart).. Because the antibiotics and pain medication, basically anything they need to give her, will get to her a lot faster than a regular IV would.. They are keeping her pretty much sedated.. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.. Thank you.. Also, I don't know if you all read the blog about my grandparents dog.. Sadly to say, he had to be put to sleep yesterday...

The Simpsons Movie
I love the Simpsons. In 17 years, I can think of maybe 3 episodes I didn't really care for, and they were still funny. So I was totally excited this movie came out, and even more so because they kept the same crew who write the episodes, and didn't ruin it be bringing in oursiders. My friend also saw it, and said that he was disappointed, because it was like watching a long episode. To me, that was the best part. It follows the basic pattern. Homer doesn't listen, Homer does something half ass, Homer puts everyone in danger, Homer tries to right things. There really is nothing new, but since it's a movie, they can do things that they can't on a TV show. The subtle jokes that are too adult for TV, and the young chilluns who watch it, and you get to hear Marge say "God Damn IT". Cali Trip So Far
I arrived about 6:00a.m. at the LAX airport. We got a taxi to the renessance hotel and booked a night stay. I woke up about 1:30 pm and got dressed went on a haunted tour of the city. Brandied Raisins
Brandied Raisins Boerenjongens 500 grams raisins 500 ml water 300 grams sugar piece of cinnamon stick 1 liter brandy canning jar(s) or other stoppered bottle(s) Thoroughly clean the jars with hot soda water and rinse with hot water. Wash and rinse the raisins and dry them well. Put the raisins with the cinnamon stick in the water. Bring to a boil and turn down the heat, letting the raisins simmer and swell for 20 minutes. Then remove the cinnamon and add and dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and add the brandy. Pour the ‘boerenjongens’ into the jars, seal those and put away in a dark, cool place for at least three weeks before tasting or serving. Boerenjongens is the Dutch word for farm boys. The etymological connection is unclear but various explanations could come to mind. Another brandied fruit drink (with apricots) is calles ‘boerenmeisjes’: farm girls.

Post-op!!!
Today is Sunday sept 9th. I am 4 days post-op. That means I have survived surgery. But OH! Bother! does it still hurt!!! I know I'm expecting too much too soon. So what else is new. And I did my usual not being the normal patient. I have what is called conjoined nerves. 2 nerves are fused together in a place that neither one should be located, and can't be separated. Not without permanent numbness or paralysis. The dr told my family and friends that I am the 1st case that he has seen and only 1 of 4 known of since 1886. So I get to be listed in the text books and research papers as 54yr old female patient. Yeah.....That and 2 lortabs will make me feel better. I have a very good friend here helping me. This past summer has been difficult in that my place of employment where I had been getting 40+ hrs a week, suddenly took it upon themselves to cut back all relief's, like myself, hours to less than 32 hrs a week. While I was at a point in my life prior to this where I was getting comfortable with all my bills etc., it has gotten to the point of robbing Peter to pay Paul so to speak this summer just to make ends flow on through and I had been afraid to do much in order to expend money that I might need for something else. Not a fun summer. Thankfully, we had a meeting at work Saturday wherein they announced that that policy has now been lifted after examining Federal Laws and the organization's policies. Relief folk are now defined as contractors/temporary personnel and so we can now be getting up to 40 hrs a week! This was recently sent to me when a friend heard that if Hilary Clinton became elected President, she was going to try to have the same kind of insurance implamented here.
