Nuclear subs collide in Atlantic HMS Vanguard is now back at its home base at Faslane on the Clyde A Royal Navy nuclear submarine was involved in a collision with a French nuclear sub in the middle of the Atlantic, the MoD has confirmed. Another Happy New Year
Well, here we are again. December 31 and most people are getting ready or have already started their partying. Some are making their last minute purchases and some have other obligations, such as work, family, etc. And some stay at home alone. Count me among these. Last night, for the first time, I felt fear for my personal safety. (And this was after the fun part of the evening, D, so this isn't you.) Relocating...
First off... I pretty much hate the area I live in. It's a great city and has a lot to offer but it's the climate I dont want anymore. I don't do winter well and I have a problem with snow. The skill set that I have and my work experiences allows me the luxury to live virtually anywhere and make a decent living. My children are all grown up and living life as they see fit. So, basically I am free to do and go where I please. What would please me the most is to go somewhere that I know has a friendly face waiting for my arrival. If that face was single...BONUS..lol... I have some friends in my life that are very near and dear to my heart. I won't go into detail but there is a specific place that would make me very happy. I'm sort of known for being a bit of a tree hugger. I love nature and animals. I don't want to hurt anything. I will go out of my way to not step on an ant trail. I *heart* snails. I think snails are really cute, actually. So I'm a bit conflicted when one of those creepy crawlers comes inside my space. As much as I don't want to hurt them, I don't want to pick them up so I can take them outside either. I know most of them are not trying to hurt me. I know they're just being a bug. Well some of you already know that myself, my sister and my brother have started a non-profit organization. Well back in December we were told about a camp called Camp Janus that works with burn survivors. So we asked for an application to volunteer. We all filled one and and sent them in and i glad to say that we were chosen to go and help out with this camp. We have had an awesome time every time we go to the hospital to give out stuuffed animals and other things to these kids. So we are relly looking forward to going to this camp this weekend. While we are there we have been that there will be a TV network that maybe coming to do a story on the camp. Also there is a game show called YUCK that will be there doing games with the kids so there is a good possibility that we will be on TV. For My Friends
I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to all my friends I have made on here. Last night I was overwhelmed with all the love you showed me and leveled me. I chatted with a few to tell you what was going on but I felt the need to share with the rest so you did not think I was not appreciative of your actions. Back in March my dad passed away at the age of 68 and on that last day I was there with him and my mom and brother for 8 horrible hours watching him die and it was possibly the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life. My uncle has been in the hospital for the past year fighting cancer and sunday my mom asked me to take her to see him, she did not want to go by herself, when we got there and I walked in that room I relived the horror of watching my dad all over again. It had the same reaction on my mom which is heartbreaking to see. My parents were married for 49 years and together for 53. I got word yesterday that my uncle died and to be honest it was

Thanksgiving Blog 2009...
Originally I planned for some big long winded elaborate blog for the holiday. Due to time constraints in real life, I won't be doing that this year. What I will be doing however is wishing all of my family and friends a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving Day. Remember what it is you are truly thankful for, appreciate what you do have and what it means to not only you but the people you care about most. For those that took a minute or for some more, to either donate money to a worthy cause, some turkeys or canned goods to a food bank or volunteer somewhere to spread some good will for those less fortunate - I agree with and commend you. A Little About Me...... Possible Book Chapters.
For years I have been told about how much I went through as a child. No I was never beaten. No I was never tortured. And no I was never Neglected. The Soap Affect
For some people, drama comes looking for them. They try to live an ordinary week, day, whatever. Then something gets dropped on them like a bombshell out of the clear blue sky. That's why I fail to understand certain people that seem to go way out of their way to create drama for themselves. Like guys that like only bad girls, and girls who only like bad guys. I find it very difficult to feel sorry for a girl that turns down nice guys all day long and then suffers raising their kids on their own because her star man is in prison (no one in particular, just as an example). Or the guy that dates a regularly sleasily dressed woman, then wants to beat up every man that looks at her. The remedy? Depends on the person obviously. But if you really want true happiness, figure out the biggest causes of what makes you unhappy. This won't stop other people from trying to make you unhappy. It only helps in the areas where you sabotage yourself.

My Life
So..heres a blog about me again. Its been awhile. I am mainly posting this for those who have wondered where I have been or why I am not on here as much as I use to be. Well Back in July when I got a bunch of lab work done..I was told that I was borderline diabetic. My dad just fund out 2 yrs ago that he is..and I know it runs in the family but I have made up my mind that I am not going to get it at this age if I can help it. So..I started dieting. In september I decided to join curves. In the past I have never actually exercised when I dieted. This is the first time I have..and to tell you the truth..its true what they say. The more yu exercise the better you feel. Since then I have lost 38lbs and am just 13lbs overweight now. I have had more lab work done for a wellness program at work. 1 Day...
…didn’t go to work today. Had some things to do, plans and stuff, and some sleeping in to do. And that’s what *cough cough* sick days are for. It has been pleasantly rainy, but too cold to really appreciate it. A week ago was rather nice…temperature near 80, hum of the fan at night, no humidity. Now it’s cold and damp and…appropriate I guess. I try honesty…I’m usually good at it…I’m slow with it sometimes. Hoping things will change, emotions align…just kidding myself…in the end, I’m just empty. Felt empty. Oh yeah…went to get my eyes checked today. I’ve worn glasses since the third grade. Just a part of me now. My prescription hasn’t really changed but I need new lenses and frames and it doesn’t hurt to check your eyes. The style of frame isn’t changing much from what I have now (just a wee smaller lens area) but I’m getting transition lenses. Be nice

My Bday Kinda Sucked....
On my bday (the 12th) it was pretty boring. Me and my hunny went to breakfast after dropping the kids off at school. Then he had to work the rest of the day til 10:30 so it kinda made doing something a little difficult. Not to mention the bar across the street with a dj was dead due to freezing rain we had happening here. So last night me and my hunny went out...some of you might have seen me come back on here for a bit after I got back and was pretty well trashed lol. This person left vile comments on my photos, which I have since deleted, and several comments on a mumm from yesterday, which has been deleted. Apparently as a result, I am now banned from making mumms. This person reported ( I suspect) and had deleted a mumm I made on a Turk, one of your members, praying that all of our children die by terrorism. Please check ALL of my photos, past mumms, and blogs...you will find NOTHING that is NSFW. Why am I blocked from making mumms? More About Sissy
I have spent all day thinking about her. She had been with me since I was 23... Before I had my daughter I used to take Sissy with me everywhere. Stores, restaurants, bars, movie theatres... literally everywhere, usually hidden inside my shirt. I miss her. She was my constant. She loved me and only me. A Grandfather Lost
Yesterday i found out that one of my dads best friends died. I had grown up with my dads friend wally. When ever i got go visit my dad on thursday nights when he was bowling i always got to see wally. Growing up i had both my grandmothers, but unfortunately my grandfathers had died years before i was born let alone tought of. Wally was the closest thing to a grandfather that i had, my dad would always joke calling him grandpa Wally. He was 71. His manager, Terri Robson, told the AP in an e-mailed statement that Pavarotti died at his home in Modena, Italy, at 5 a.m. local time. Pavarotti had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and underwent further treatment in August. "The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterised his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness," the statement said.
