(Serves 4) 12 whole oysters, washed, shucked, and sitting on the half-shell. 2 cups coarse breadcrumbs 1 Cup Ginger Ale 2 TBSP Minced Garlic Black Pepper to taste 2 TBSP Chili Sauce 1/2 cup of cream 1/2 stick room temperature butter 1 cup shredded cheese (Jack, Mozzarella, or American) Lots of rock salt Enough Angel Hair pasta (uncooked) for 4 people 1 cup water, 1 cup milk 2 TBSP Flour 2 TBSP butter 1 TBSP minced garlic 1 TBSP Italian seasoning 1 Medium Eggplant 3 Medium Tomatoes, seeded and chopped 2 TBSP Minced fresh Basil 1 TBSP Minced fresh rosemary 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese 2 TBSP Shredded Parmesan Cheese Olive Oil Make sure you thoroughly scrub your oysters with a nylon prush before shucking them. This removes the mud and debris that is naturally part of a fresh oyster. CAREFULLY use an oyster knife to open them. I admit I am not a whiz at computers. I understand a little more then the basics, but not an expert by any means. So I go to those who are supposed to know better then I. A computer expert. After telling them all I did to try to maintain my system ie Full computer scans with anti virus, more then 2 times a week. Weekly Defrag on the computer, all I get is: Well the lag or slowness you are experiencing maybe because you ISP is slow or because the game/web page/site is slow. Call your ISP and have them do a speed test. hmmm should I be happy it's not my comp, and just yell at the cable company that thier cable modem is too slow for my computer? and how much time am I going to have to devote to this? Believe me, calling a tech at the cable company is sketchy at best. you may get a good one, then you may get one who wants you off the phone. I believe I am a bit frustrated. *sigh*

You know, only a handful of people will bother even noticing I posted a blog, and to those few people, thanks for noticing. It's not often that I throw one of these out. Now, I'm doing this for a few different reasons. First and foremost is simplicity. Cream Of Sunchoke Soup
About a week ago I used a groupon (If you don't use groupon yet, sign up! http://www.groupon.com/r/uu1000366 ) for fresh, local produce delivery. I got a bunch of sunchokes. I had never seen a sunchoke before so I did some research. Sunchokes look like this: So I found that you can use them in stirfry, which I did...and I also make this really easy soup. 1/2 pound sunchokes 1 small onion 1 clove garlic dash of thyme (I used dried/ground) 2-4 tablespoons butter 1 can low sodium chicken broth cream (I just added a little) salt and pepper Super easy. Wash sunchokes and peel if you want. Mine looked good so I didn't peel them...I didn't find anything about not eating the skin. cut into 1"ish cubes sautee in butter with sliced onion and garlic until tender add chicken broth and simmer for about 20 minutes puree return to pan and add cream (I had already tasted it and decided not to add much and it's delicious) salt and pepper to taste I think I may puree

DUMP CAKE 1 (16-ounce) can crushed pineapple1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix1/2 cup butter, chilled1/2 cup chopped nuts (peacans are great.) 1/2 bag of sweet coconut. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease well a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Dump pineapple (including juice) into the prepared pan; spread evenly. Dump cherry pie filling over pineapple, spreading evenly. Dump yellow cake mix over the top, spreading evenly. Cut cold butter into 1/4-inch slices and arrange over the top. Cover top layer with coconut. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean (about 40 minutes). About 10 servings.

I've had a very busy day today, I got acupuncture done on my face and got THE BEST face massage afterwards! What Scares Me....
Well for those of you who have noticed an absence- mid terms are just now over and I am still working four days a week. Two eight hour day shifts on Tuesday and Thursday, and two 12.5 hour shifts on Friday and Saturday nights. Being in the hospital and interacting with patients has made me think a lot. I have seen babies who are born weeks early the youngest being born at 21 weeks. I have seen patients who are in their last days of varying ages. I have been bedside giving treatments and medication to people on the last day of their lives. I have realized that so much of my life I have spend worrying about dying. I have worried that I will have a heart attack, or maybe a fatal car accident. Now I know that it was wrong to fear those things- No I am still afraid of dying- but now I see that those are merciful deaths compared to the many ways we can go. I Survive My Trip
Well I made it back from my trip up north to celebrate my mom's birthday. Relocating...
First off... I pretty much hate the area I live in. It's a great city and has a lot to offer but it's the climate I dont want anymore. I don't do winter well and I have a problem with snow. My Grandma
Well after being in the hospital for the past couple of months for a simple urinary tract infection and emphysema my only surviving maternal grandmother passed away today. She was about 85 years old. Her, my aunt and my grandfather were the only relatives that were living nearby. They all immigrated here from Lebanon back in the early 70's. My grandparents even though they were in their 50's an 60's at the time of their arrvival were both hard working. My grandma worked up until about 10yrs ago when she finally retired. My paternal grandparents lived in Uniontown , Pa so it was very rare I ever got to see them at all. I will miss them all now. May she rest in peace. Pie

Not A Sausage!

A Break
This is tough for me to write... Since my retuen from my hiatus, i have gotten to know some of you better than ever before and i have honestly kept myself out of the drama and BS better than before. I was thinking about what definitively separates a kid from an adult. It's cereal. When you start eating more eggs and bacon than Cinnamon Toast Crunch, that's when you're an adult. Need All My Freinds And Family...prayer Needed
Shawn is not doing so well tonight...Due to lack of hospital beds he had to wait 3 days to get a bed after being admitted to the hospital and because he is so stubborn and has been through so much he refused to stay in emergency until they found him a bed...Today he got his bed but he is very lifeless...His Potassium is at 1.6 and he cannot stay awake...He is not in a comma but can barely lift his head...wakes when probed but only to mumble then back out...I am so scared he is my son...I am going nuts so please please please keep this reposted we need you all tonight...Please pray for us...

I just found out that my nottypuppy passed away on feb 22nd 2008. He was attacked while in Chicago IL. The police aren't sure if he died from his severe head injury or the prolonged exposure to the cold. Baby I shall forever love you!!!!

Why Am I Doing This Again?
Well the summer is almost all over again and once again I babysat my sisters kid once again this summer..I swear the older they get the more I get stressed out.. While growing up on a farm, my siblings and I became accustomed to "barn talk". It was that way on most farms, unless you were Amish or Mennonite.
