The Events Of The Week And My Thoughts
The events of the last week since I got the call have been very hectic and very emotional for all involve to say the least. It started with the call Monday morning from my dad saying that my beloved grandfather had passed away. Wednesday I flew out to go home…what welcoming faces to see at the arrivals in the airport. My cousin Kristie, Randy, and a long time family friend Tommy. My cousin Kristie started that day out at 9 am in her pajamas thinking that she was only going to pick up Tommy from the airport. Haha the surprise was on her. She got the call that Randy was flying in…so she went to Old Navy to get clothes so her and Tommy could go see a movie and wait to pick up Randy then she got the call that I was flying in luckily I was in an hr after him and an hr me my cousin Keith flew in from California. She had a tip cup and a taxi business card we bought her a pine tree air fresher so she was like a real taxi…. On the way we were to visit the rest of the family…hugs and kisses

That Time Of Year
Yep, that time of year. The constant questions, what do you want, I don't know what to get you etc. And to be honest, I don't really want anything. Partly because I actually don't, other than one or two cds perhaps. But mostly because I'm going to have very little money to get anyone anything. I know that's not the point, but it just doesn't feel right.

Adventures In Entrance
I left my place okay. Screen door was frozen shut, but I left after getting it to open. Went to grocery store and bought a few things. Came back. Door was beyond frozen shut! Could not get open for the life of me. In fact, door handle pulled off in my hand. Tried getting at the hinges, but the hinge plate wouldn't pop out. Couldn't get the windows to open either. Tried heating the mechanism with a lighter, but couldn't get it hot enough. So I gave up. Went to the manager's office and started writing a note. Elaine came out to see what I was doing. Realization
Sometimes it takes hearing a song to realize how you really feel. Eleven years is a long time to walk away from. After so long you forget where one person begins and the other ends. But unfortunately sometimes you begin to take things for granted and soon even each other. It doesn't mean you don't love each other just things change and people change. A Very Good Day At Work
Here I am at work. standing and chatting with a co-worker, when I feel a light touch moving up my leg. I thought nothing of it, because the co-worker I was chatting with was dress very provocatively and she is very hot! Grandma
I'll be busy the next few days We lost my Grandma on Tuesday January 27, 2009,I saw her on Sunday she was at the store we were selling girl scout cookies i had hugged and kissed her that day she was well and smiling as usual. She had just moved into a rockin retirement center. She turned 89 in December and was getting somewhat depressed hanging around her house by herself so much. So for her bday she got a new cat and also agreed to moved to be able to socialize more. She loved the new place it truly looked like a resort. Remind me to get insurance for assisted living. Anyway she died happy peacefully in her chair, remote control for the tv in her hand think she fell asleep watching tv. We Love her and miss her. Of course with her passing thoughts of what I should have done come to mind just like with everyone, but Im working hard now getting her house clean ready for all the guests to come and helping my mom prepare everything. With today's economy, I would think that people would value their job. Communicate with their team members and provide 100% daily. Unfortunately, I've found they don't. I admit it, I'm a complete anal bitch about my work: how it's presented, watered, "set-up" etc etc etc. So, normally I just do everything myself. Our blooming *plant* truck was late last week, engine blew, so I was unable to install one of my bigger accounts. A Dad's Story
A DAD'S STORY On July 22nd I was in route to Washington , DC for a business trip. It was all so very ordinary, until we landed in Denver for a plane change. As I collected my belongings from the overhead bin, an announcement was made for Mr. Lloyd Glenn to see the United Customer Service Representative immediately. Defective Family
My sister apparently let news of my cancer slip to my father. I haven't spoken to him in 5 years. He's never met my son and always had an excuse why he couldn't visit or let us visit him. When she told him I had breast cancer and was having a mastectomy this month, she says he cried. He left 4 messages on my answering machine while I was on my cruise, and talked to my mom once when she was here cleaning my house (they divorced when I was 4). My sister is asking if she can tell him when and where I'll be so he can be there at the surgery. I don't know what to do. He wasn't there for most of my childhood, having decided seeing me wasn't worth the child support payments he had to make to keep joint support. He even went so far as to try to take my inheritance from a friend of the family that I received when I was 8, forcing my mother to put it in a low-yield trust that he couldn't touch. I'd written him off and out of my life since he chose not to meet my youngest child. *

Death Of An Innocent
KENNER, La. -- An infant just minutes old was found dead in Lake Pontchartrain on Tuesday afternoon, thrown there by a woman believed to be its mother, a police spokesman said. Kenner Police Lt. Wayne McInnis told WDSU that officers believe a woman gave birth to the child and threw it into the water. The baby girl's body was recovered at the Kenner Boat Launch just after 2 p.m. Her umbilical cord was still attached, McInnis said. Witnesses told police they saw a woman get out of a car at the boat launch, toss the baby into the water and drive off. Nobody cares about it but me, but last night I had an idear... Valentines Day (hereafter referred to as VD Day) is gonna be much less than special this year. Yay. Thought I might post my favorite salutes instead of my own mug. Why Are You Here
Maybe it is points or leveling? I am here to reach out and let my friends, family and fans know how important they are to me. I send daily comments and it is labor intensive and time consuming. Yesterday
Yesterday ended up being much longer than I originally anticipated. We took off late due to deicing and I already had a slim amount of time before I had to catch my next flight on the layover. Well between getting in 10 mins late, waiting to get off the plane, and taking the amtrak to the next concourse, I was late to my connection (I wasn't the only one). So I kept my composure and the lady swapped airline carriers. I had just under an hour to take the amtrak over to the otherside of the airport to catch that flight. After an extended hiatus, I was finally able to make it to the gym yesterday. I had the day off, but still had a lot to do, so it was only an hour, but this is better than nothing. Stationary Bike:25 mins, 101 Calories burned Elliptical Machine:20 mins, 191 Calories burned Stair Climber:10 Mins, 60 Calories burned. Weight is holding at 209.5, but that's what happens when you take a break I guess. If I can loose one pound before the end of the month and keep it off, I would be satisfied.

Well I just had one of the best laughs I've had in quite a while. It felt great. Now I'm sure you all are probably wondering what in the world it could have been. The way I seen it, I could just move him back to his when he fell back asleep. But damn, he wouldn't stop moving. My foot had already been asleep because I was talking to Van on the phone for over an hour, sitting on my foot. At that point, it was all tingly and he was rolling all over it. It hurt. He then tells me that he wants to lay back in his bed. He goes and things are fine. My foot is normal and I'm not having a child rolling all over my legs. Then I hear it..."Mommy, I need to go pee!". It's not just a normal tone, it's pure panic. Like he will NOT make it to the bathroom. So I tell him to go. He runs to the bedroom door and then comes back telling me he can't get the door

May Holiday
Going on holiday for a week from Saturday (23rd). Taking the family to stay in a cottage down in the south west of England. Staying not far from Taunton in Somerset. Never been to that part of England before so will be something different. How It Went
The interview for the most part felt like a conversation. I feel the DM has a lot of the same management style philosophies that I hold. She also conceded things she has to watch out for in herself that I know I have to watch for personally. For a couple of my answers she asked to pause for her to write it down becasue she really liked the idea and it had never occurred to her before. She did give great continuations along the same lines as I was iterating on other questions. I honestly got the impression that I was better informed of the company at the corporate level than she was. She started off the interview by answering one of my planned returned questions about her own history with the company. When it came time to ask my return questions I did tell her I had planned to ask that but it was already covered and then moved on to the key elements she looked for in her managers. Goal #1: Achieved
I'll be moving into an apartment in Watertown on the 1st. Just me and my son. I've never lived alone like that before. Without a parent, or a boyfriend, or a roommate. Just him and I. I Know Better Than To Mumm This...
I started taking sleep meds, which is something I REALLY didnt wanna do, but Ive started to. At first they werent working and I even started taking them while at work in the hopes they would kick in once I got home. Ive been taking them like prescribed and nothing... Well since Thursday theyve kicked in. Ive been having problems waking up (I missed class on thursday and friday) and when I do wake up it feels like Ive been kicked in the head for the first 2and a half hours... and I dont like it Should I cut the pill in half and see if that works better? I hate when people talk about committing suicide. Other than the obvious reason that I don't want someone that I care about to die it irks me to hear that they have nothing to live for. So as some of you know, I've been working with a career building consultant company, and have been attending seminars to aid me in my search for a new job, career, exc... This morning I went to a resume based course, which we were asked to run through an online module first and come up with a rough draft of our resume to bring in today. So, yesterday, I wrote up and updated my resume, and included the ideals they considered important. Well, today comes, and we start going through our resumes, and some exercises for them. I was very encouraged to find out that my resume was all but complete, barring a few minor changes. I was able to use my performance report experience from the military to write some great bullets statements, and tailor my resume for a good marketing capability. So, I will be able to start spreading my resume around starting tomorrow, and hopefully lead to some possible opportunities. Just wanted to share this good news with you. :)

A small story my boss told me....... During a very cold winter day, a bird was flying across the sky. As it got colder and colder, the bird froze and fell to the ground. Reconstruction
Well, I made it through my surgery yesterday. It went better than the plastic surgeon expected, even :) Details for the not-so-squeamish: They replaced the tissue expander with a saline implant after removing a bunch of scar tissue that was causing the area to be very hard. It feels much more natural now! And there was so much scar tissue there that when it was removed they were actually able to go with an implant bigger than the amount I'd been expanded to. This means they didn't have to reduce the other side very much at all, and it appears to be a D or DD cup. Hard to say before it heals, though. The only problems I have is that the Norco's not helping my pain much, and I have a drain on the right side that is leaking a lot and not really working so well. I'm waiting for a call back from the nurse at the surgery clinic to see what I should do.

So, today is a very important day in my life. My mother's birthday. I bought her 2 dozen roses (all diffy colors) that I'm sure she'd love. Sunday will mark 10 months since she' left our lives. Everyday has been hard especially when I get good news in my life, and she was the only one that I would share it with. ...a stupid tv show made me cry like a baby a few hours ago. Completely out of nowhere, completely unexpected. I hate when that happens, when I get caught off guard. And it was a show that I never thought would make me emotional...but it was just horrible. It was that The Deadliest Catch tv show about the Alaskan crab fisherman. Not exactly your "keep the tissues nearby" kind of show. The goddam thing just about ripped my heart out though. Doc Appointment 4/16
I was scared before I wen't to see the doc today, My pain has been getting worse and I was hella nervous it was for good reason. Well I went in to discuss Bloodwork and a Ultrasound that was recently done, Bloodwork was good (thank fuck) But the Ultrasound wasn't good. My liver has Gotten bigger since my last Doc visit (The last visit revealed it was so large that it took up most of my abdomen) I have what is Called non alcoholic fatty liver disease. Basically I have the liver of a raging alcoholic except I don't drink much, it's from eating bad food. So it seems the raw food diet and the Pilates I've been doing has done no good to heal my liver. Well, she did say my muscle mass is up since I gained a little so thats good. Also my spline was enlarged, She could not find a reason as to why so I have to go in for a CT scan where they inject you with this stuff that makes you all warm. Vacation
I once was fortunate to live ONE block from the Atlantic Ocean, in Florida. I mean, I didn't have the best living conditions...the building was older and made of concrete blocks, with multimillion dollar houses and condos all around, but it was a COOL living environment. Every day was like vacation. I would love to get up at 5am...put on my sweats and running shoes...and hit the beach. Every morning, after you've lived at the beach for a while, you start to see the regulars...the people that are the runners, the dog walkers, even the yoga instructor. First Day Of School
So my youngest started Kindergarten today. And I have mixed feelings. YAY! he's in School! and OMG! he's in school with other children for the first time and wow did I really go to HIGH SCHOOL with his/her mother?? It's a small world out there and if you happen to live in the same city you went to high school at, it seems that much smaller. I am actually not complaining this time about it, there is a comfort knowing that you are around people you know...even if it's almost 20 years removed. Yep the first day of school. Well, 9/11/01 is definitely an emotional day for a lot of people for many different reasons... On that day, we all watched as our nation was attacked, violated... We all were witness to the horror and devastation, and the absolute bravery of a handful of people on a plane. And of course the courage of the NYPD, NYFD, etc. That isn't my only connection to "9/11", however. On 09/11/1993, my Dad passed away at the young age of 39, leaving behind a widow, a 15 year old son, and me. So I went to not only a surgical consult (that's another story) but before hand I went to see my pcp today. Woke up. Throat was itchy and tickly and a little sore, saw a big pustular bulb on my right tonsil. Thought I might have strep. Sighed and had them take a look. I figured the soreness was post nasal drip.
