Scent Of A Woman
After three years of single, dateless life, I have found someone that makes my heart skip beats everytime I see her. The scent of her hair makes me weak. To be around her brings happiness. On our last vacation, Mrs. Professor and I saved some money by staying in a cheap hotel. Interview Time
Interview Day well it is interview day for me. im sitting here with about an hour untill i go in for my interview for a better position in my company. i love my current job, but after 2 years i have really done about all i can with it. there isnt really anywhere to go as no supervsor positions are availble. over the last week i have lost sleep, worried, and made myself a wreck with self doubt and anxiety. why? i know deep down im a good worker and that i have done a good job over the last 3 years. i know i can do pretty much anything if i work at it. so why worry myself? i think a little anxiety is a good thing. keeps us on our toes and helps focus us. the most important thing to remember is to not let it overwhelm you. i worried for a few days and lost sleep over it because i focused too much on the fact that i really need this promotion. what i should have, and finally did do is focus on the fact that i deserve this and just have to show them im interested. always try to f

I wish I could understand why I can't seem to meet a man who wants a committed relationship, which includes fun, laughter, snuggling, affection and all the other stuff that comes with it. A Tough And Sad Day For Me...
I don't know any other words to describe how my afternoon has been! As many of you know, I am a counselor to teenagers and I try to help them with their problems. Well today, the counselor needed some counseling! Now what some of you may not know is that I am also a former paramedic who left the field in October of 2001 because of the aftershock of helping with the WTC on 9/11. The only times since leaving the field that I have been involved in helping someone needing medical attention has been if it's happened in front of me. That was the case today, when a car with four people in it flipped over in the middle of the street, right in front of the building I work in. The receptionist in my office called 911 as I went outside to see if there was anything I can do. All the people standing there were making it much harder, because they were either leaving little room to work or trying to move the injured people, which would have done more harm than good. Ok.. so my nieghbors wife is on life support in the hospital and was starting to do better so was taken off....well on Mother's Day she passed away...our nieghbor came over and told us the news told all the nieghbors..we all got together n was at his house when he got a phone call from the hospital that his wife was alive after being pronounced dead and was given a death certificate for her...she was dead for 4hrs..she was being rolled down to the morge when she woke up or came back to life...asken where they were taken her.....wtf this shyt is wierd...wat do u think.. btw this is all true it happen on mothers day the nieghbors are back home but this shyt is very creepy..but its a miracle...god works in mysterous ways.....

Work
Well it would seem that some things do change for the better as I was recruited of monster.com for an interview at a fitness center. I didnt put much into it untill I got there and things definantly changed in my point of view. All said and done I got my own office, manage my own portfolio and hot damn get unlimited access to the athletic facility. The personal trainers are cool shit and my co-worker in advertising is pretty cool. So I gotta start getting some more knowledge of nutrition and fitness under my belt while I am there. Achilles' Rant To Me
Yesterday, a firestorm was created when a nosey person thought they would step into my bottle and demand something that they had no right to. I woke up to find some shithead using my pic. We all read that earlier. I wrote to a bunch of bouncers to get some much needed help. One replied, FyrTygress. As we talked in the shoutbox I copy/pasted our conversation into this blog so that when I got home I could reaccess what was said so that I could take action on my own. Apparently, Achilles or her saw it before I got home and it got turned around in a bad way. That being I manipulated the text to make it look like she was at fault in some way. Removing my words and name from the dialogue to show a one-sided point of view. Which when using the old shoutbox all it shows is one name and not both until you use the newer version. Which displays both. She was hurt, which I can understand. In no way did I change anything in the text of the conversation. Only saved it to protect myself later

Dear Family, Friends, and Fans, I would like to get everyone's input on a subject. If there were a policeman on cherry, and I'm sure there are many, and that person was abusing their power by investigating you and your personal business, would you feel like they had overstepped their bounds? We, as Americans used to have a right to privacy but since we have given up many of those rights for security, should law enforcement be allowed to look into your social security information and possibly infract on one's identity? I keep hearing all these things on television about the government cracking down on identity theft but who monitors them? My Daughters First Year
This year my daughter started kindergarten. It's alot different from when i went. We had nap time, playtime, milk and cookies. Now in my daughters school she gets none of that. They have these kids doing shapes, alphabet, counting, homework, and she even comes home with books to read. If anyone here has kids that are in kindergarten, Do they have to do all this work. Just wanted to let everyone know that I hadn't been online since early Friday because I went to the E.R. Friday morning and was in there for four hours. I wasn't able to get online again til today, I have been too sick. The Dr. said I have a bad virus that is just as bad as the flu but doesn't last as long. He put me on 3 different types of meds and said I needed to do a nasal irrigator to help rid my body and sinuses of this infection. Lina's Hospital Recovery
Just a quick note to bring everyone up to date. One day short of three months in Intensive Care, Lina was able to get well enough to be transported to a new hospital that specializes in long term rehabilitation. Here she will work on getting rid of her trach in her throat, speech therapy and getting her muscles to regrow. As of yesterday, her first day, she moved her neck a couple of times and her fingers on her right hand several times. She mouthed some words, but none of us could make them out. The new hospital is very nice and homey and less clinical looking, which will help her in the long run. She has a lovely window and a bed that actually faces a television (and vcr, she watched part of SINGING IN THE RAIN last night before falling asleep). She will be at this hospital for several weeks (I'm guessing about two months or more from what I could gather). She will then go to another facility for long term physical therapy where she will learn motor skills and finge

Auto Repairs
I fixed my car yesterday with some Black Pepper and a wire coat hanger! It had been running hot and seemed to have a small radiator leak so I was told by a local garage here in TN to put about 2 tblsp. of black pepper into the radiator and it seals small leaks! Also my tail pipe was hanging so i replaced the broken hanger with a wire coathanger! Both worked! I guess I am good for something!

Chocolate - Hazelnut Turnovers
INGREDIENTS 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls 1/4 cup hazelnut spread with cocoa (from 13-oz jar) 2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts 1/2 ripe medium pear, peeled, cored, chopped 1 teaspoon powdered sugar DIRECTIONS 1. Heat oven to 375°F. Remove dough from can; do not unroll. Separate long roll into 2 shorter rolls at center perforations. Refrigerate 1 roll. Unroll other roll, separating into 2 rectangles. Press each to make 8x4-inch rectangle, pressing perforations to seal. Cut each rectangle into two 4-inch squares. 2. Spoon about 1/2 tablespoon hazelnut spread onto center of each square; spread to within 1/2 inch of edges. In small bowl, gently stir together hazelnuts and chopped pear. The Day Hell Froze Over...
So thanks to a certain someone who decided to start running in the mornings...I said "What the hell?" So yesterday I was seriously lacking in motivation for running, but I did find time to go to the store and get ingredients for waffles. (mmm...waffles) While I was out, I stopped and bought myself a new pair of running shoes...Why I paid over 100 USD to torture myself is beyond me. Things could be better for me in life but I guess that I just get the messed up end of the stick. I try so hard to straighten up my life and still I somehow get knocked down to the bottom. Ingredients 2 Tbs. olive oil 10 large fresh tomatoes, peeled and diced 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. minced garlic 2 Tbs. chopped onion 1 Tbs. chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried 1 tsp. sugar or sugar substitute 1/2 tsp. oregano Black pepper, to taste 2 red peppers, sliced into chunks 1 yellow summer squash, sliced lengthwise 1 zucchini, sliced lengthwise 1 sweet onion, sliced into 1/4-inch wide rounds 8 oz. pkg. of whole wheat spaghetti Directions Heat oil in a heavy skillet. Add tomatoes, salt, garlic, onions, basil, sugar, oregano and black pepper. Cook slowly, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until sauce is thickened. In the meantime, brush peppers, squash and onion with oil. Place under broiler and cook, turning frequently until browned and tender. Remove to bowl. Cook spaghetti until al dente. Numb
There comes a point in life where you just become numb. Or at least I've become numb. No longer do I enjoy sex or the chase. I've been used and abused for so long that I'm numb to it all. Why is everything turned around to make it racial or sexist? If Obama doesn't get elected, then the so called experts say its racial and we all know that McCayn chose his running mate to try and get the womens vote. When trying to upload or add pictures be shure the pictures you are trying to use are Jpeg (.jpg) and not bitmap (.bmp). If they are .bmp you can change it by right clicking and renaming the photo and change it from .bmp to .jpg. A message will show up telling you that changing the name might make the pic not work. *sigh* i am an odd duck. i'm sure you all agree by now, but what makes it all even worse is that i'm both gluten and lactose intolerant. Gluten is a protein found in wheat. Lactose found in dairy. Stuff I Need (or, Why My Computer's Pissing Me Off)...
So, I just basically spent more money on computer stuff than I have in a long time, and than I probably should in the first place. And I didn't even spend that much! Bought a new Seagate 1TB SATA drive to replace the 250GB PATA drive that was giving me issues (allegedly--it had bad blocks)... Bought a new CoolerMaster CM690 case (not bad for $80, highly recommend it, loads of cool stuff!) so that my drives won't get to 55C (that's 131F, fuck!), and bought another fan to help with cooling (four case fans in all right now). However, I'm still not seeing it run as fast as it should... I know I need to replace this shitty little 430watt Raidmax PSU with something better soon, but I doubt that's a major issue. No, I think that right now is the memory... I've got four sticks of RAM in there right now, two are 512MB sticks at PC2700 speeds... There's a 512MB PC3200, and a 256MB PC2700 or something... My 8 Year Old And Her Sense Of Humor
My 8 year old daughter came home from school yesterday and announced she was now on yellow.(It's a behavior color system; green=good, yellow=so so, and red=bad)I asked her what did she do and she said I gave Curtis a Starburst. Had a busy night last night. did not get out of class until after 8pm. Im justifiably proud of this region - its where I was born and where I was raised (not counting the odd times I did live somewhere else). Got Cast Off Leg!!!!

She's Gone.
My mother Mary Ann passed away today. She died peacefully. I want to thank all my friends for their support and kind words. I will be heading to Texas tomorrow with my aunt to pick up her ashes. Most of her ashes will be buried with my Grandpa Harris is California and the remainder will be scattered all the wild flower trail. I will be taking a hot air balloon trip soon to honor my mother. It was one of the things that brought her joy. Watching the hot air balloon festivals. Seeing the moon glow. It was one of the things she also never got to do. To ride the skies in one. She also never got to know her grandchilds or them her. They will never know the amazing woman I was raised by. They will only remember the woman in the nursing home. My heart is shredded right now.
