Smothered Steak
1-1 1/2 lbs round steak
1 small green pepper, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup onion, chopped
garlic salt, salt and pepper to taste
1-2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1-2 (10 3/4 oz) cans cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
1 (8 oz) container sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup sour cream
Cut steak into individual serving-size pieces. Combine in skillet with bell pepper and onion. Cook over low heat until steak is browned. Add soup, Worcestershire sauce, seasonings, mushrooms, and sour cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through. Serve over rice or toast.
