I have been watching movies alot lately do to not really being able to do much. I still feel like crap and am high on meds that none of this will probably make since. The movies I am watching mostly have some kind of romance in them. Romaine with raisins 1/4 cup salad oil 3 T. ketchup 2 T. red wine vinegar 1 T. soy sauce 1 T. sugar 1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds 1 medium avocado 1 large head romaine, broken into bite size pieces 1/2 cup golden raisins 6 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled salt and pepper to taste Combine oil, ketchup, vinegar, soy and sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved and set aside. Ron Asheton, the guitarist for the influential punk rock band The Stooges, was found dead this morning, police tell the Detroit Free Press. The 60-year-old's deceased body was found in his Ann Arbor, Michigan, home after a caller phoned police saying they hadn't heard from him in a few days. Authorities are investigating the cause of death, but foul play is not suspected. The Stooges were founded in 1967 in Ann Arbor by Iggy Pop, Asheton, and his brother, Scott Asheton. Though never a major commerical success, the band has been cited by artists like Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth and Jack White of the White Stripes as a major influence. So hubby asked me today why all my friends are either depressed, or lonely, or both. And if there is some screening process that I have to gain attn from people like that. I was like WTF? But then, most of my friends ARE like that. I am a good listener, and people have always vented to me with their problems, anxieties, etc. And I appreciate that. Why do I bother? When I was little, I only WISH I could have had someone that would even remotely listen. My parents did their best to completely ignore me, and so did most of my "friends" (xcept for one, which I love to death). So I know how it feels to want to spill it out, or to cry on someone's shoulder, and have absolutely no one to help. I enjoy people confiding in me, since it makes me feel like I am taking them away from the state that I was in myself all my life. I just wish I had Fubar back then, to connect to random ppl. Rookie Card Auction Closed Early
The Stephen Strasburg rookie card auction, that almost reached a million dollars on Ebay, has ended early and all bids were cancelled. The auction was ended at 8:17 EDT on 27 June 2010. The bid history showed that all bids were cancelled due to ending the auction early. My thought is those bidding, that did contact the owner, could not prove to to the owner's satisfaction they had the means to pay if they won the bid. Now with the additional rules permitted by Ebay will the owner put the card back up for auction on Ebay? Will the owner find another auction venue? Will the owner attempt to sell the card to a private collector? I don't see the card being sold outright. It might fetch a better price through auction. Just curious what is everyone's opinion on rookie athletes signing huge contracts before playing a single play in there sport that they where drafted in? Me personally think there should be a salary cap for rookies and there 2ND contact should be worth millions. Like today for example rookie QB Sam Bradford of the St. Louis Rams singed a contract worth $50 million today. Yes I know he was the #1 overall pick but still he has not yet played a down in the NFL.
