These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which as they kiss consume: the sweetest honey Is loathsome in his own deliciousness And in the taste confounds the appetite: Therefore love moderately; long love doth so

IN THEORY....
Romeo was in love with Rossaline just days before he met Juliet. He looked at Juliet and fell in love with her looks. Romeo and Juliet got married just shortly after meeting one another. They are acting on impulse by getting married so quickly. True love can spring from such a situation, but not until a few years have passed and even then it is not a guarantee. People are blinded by lust. If couples want a better chance of staying married, they should get married only when they no longer lust after each other.

Juliet fell in love with Romeo's perceived love for her and possibly his good looks. People can fall in love with another person's loving actions or the idea of infatuation. Many people can become infatuated with another person based solely on the notion that they are liked or loved by them. Juliet was raised by a nurse and did not get much attention from her parents causing her to be attracted to those that pay attention to her or give her much needed love. People, especially those that have low self-esteem or a lack of confidence, will quickly have positive feelings for a person that shows them affection. Juliet knows of nothing but her home and her church. A young girl who is sheltered from everything is not going to know what love is.

Juliet was also stimulated by the adrenaline-inducing act of rebellion. She was supposed to marry Paris and did not really show very much interest in that idea. Girls, especially back then, were not encouraged to be aggressive. That repressed aggression of natural feelings gave Juliet a little bit of a hopeless feeling causing her to desire a young man that promised to set her free. Therefore, what she was in love with was freedom, not Romeo.

Lust (or love, as our current generation calls it) cannot last longer than three years. Between one and a half to three years is how long lust usually lasts between two people. Couples get married based on lust and then to their surprise, they get divorced. Individuals do not realize that that energy they feel for the other person is just lust. Evolution's evil trick is a deceiving feeling that one is in love. Teenagers are hit with an overwhelming feeling of lust and do not have the experience to know what to do with it. Romeo and Juliet are around the ages of 13 and 17. Teenagers are so preoccupied with themselves that when they are in a relationship, they are not able to love anybody but themselves. One of the greatest depressants comes from such relationships. Many people commit suicide based on the failure of those relationships. Before committing to such life-long things as marriage, couples (especially young couples) should seriously consider how negative it could turn out to be. It takes a certain personality to be in a marriage. Those that fit that personality type are not necessarily more in love. Two people can be in just as much love as a married couple and not be married. The fact that Romeo and Juliet got married does not mean that they were in love. People get married for different reason

(love spelled backwards is evol)
