General Stuff 7-21-08
Everytime it seems as though almost everything could be perfect, I am thrown a cruve ball and it takes me down a winding road to self destruction. I am heading down that road once again at the moment. I was just spending time with my family on my moms side and I just don't feel like I belong. On my dads side, I just havn't had the contact to even fit in, so it's always been kinda weird. ~and now my dad and step mom, through my step brother, have ganged up on me to make me feel even worse and more useless. My step brother has been living with me since February and I have to say, it has been no cake-walk. Most of the time when he was here, I'd have to beg for money for the bills, and he would stay locked away in the middle bedroom(his room). It's like having a dirty little secret in there. He also bought my 92 Paseo before he moved in here. I am still owed $100 on that. This is where my recent frustration with my dad and step mom come in. Apparently, since he bought it from me

Ahoy, mateys! Your gracious, modest host has returned from his 10-day tour de force through the Northeast. It was my first real vacation. Yes, that infamous "v" word that has been absent from virtually my entire existence. Yes, moi knows how to relax and have a little fun after all. Mindy and I began the journey with a flight to Washington D.C. Our first stop was at Market Inn, which was featured on the Travel ChannelWe had a pleasant overnight stay at a hotel in Alexandria, Virginia, wherein we entertained by the locals (especially at an Irish bar where cool live music and luscious drinks were thoroughly enjoyed). My Week In Hell
It was supposed to be a great vacation. My first one in 14 years. Turned into a nightmare. I"ll leave out my experience at Detroit Metro Airport. (if you wanna know ask me in private) and get to the good stuff. My mother and I get down there and my sister picks us up from the airport. Get to my grandparents and my grandfather looks horrible. For 3 weeks my grandmother had been screaming at him and not feeding him barely at all. He had lost 50 pounds at least. He was a shell of the man he had used to be. Within 5 hours it was apparent what had been happening. My grandfather had had back surgery and heart surgery. My grandmother the paranoid skitzo she is would scream at him to get up and walk sometimes hitting him and would put his food just out of reach of him. As soon as we were alone with him he started crying and begged us to take him out of there. Get him some help and away from her. This man used to be a Colonel in the Air Force. Served in a few wars... I have never seen him ever

Lil Update :)
I had my surgery on my arm about 3 weeks ago, then about a week ago they had to go in a 2nd time because the staples got infected so they had to clean it out, so now....im on the road to recovery, been moving my arm and hand some, so odd having use of one hand, dont think I could ever get used to this, I really feel for people who are like this perm. My kids are doing as good to be expected, trying to get used to the fact that their gramma isnt here anymore, sill feels like a bad dream to me, havent fully grieved yet, so much going on with my arm etc....I'll be back when I can, miss u all....xoxox

Went to my Dr today, and he is starting the process to get an MRI for my aching body. Of course, today my hip felt pretty good. He did say he's 95% sure that it is something pinched. He said my circulation is good, and my strength is good. He also said keep walking, keeps strength in the leg. I also lost 4 more pounds, which, for being pretty inactive, makes me happy.

Time For A New Car
As much as I hate to do it.. and as much as I can't afford to do it.. I think it is time for the old car to be put to rest. It's a 1999, so not THAT old. But it has over 205,000 miles on it. This month has been expensive though. The compressor on the AC went. Estimated cost on that is $700. That was bad enough and had me thinking of looking for something else. BUT... last night as I was leaving to take David home, I went to put the window up a little when my phone rang, and there was a loud crack. The wondow fell down into the door. So I take it to the garage today. Parts will be over $400 and with labor around $600. It didn't help that it poured last night while I was driving. The good news is the garage did put the window back in place though its just taped there. And they did not charge me anything.

Another Year Passes By. . .

Emergency Surgery
Hey fans its been another crazy weekend. This past friday I had to take Sandy in for emergency surgery. She had to get her gall bladder taken out. It was supposed to be taken out on the 29th but well it decided it was ready to go. We went to the same hospital that I had my surgery and the same one where grandfather is still in ICU at. Can you tell none of us trust our local hospital when we will go 3 counties away lol. She handled it pretty well and she was let go yesterday moring. It's amazing how easy they can do some surgeries now. She has just a few lil cuts where they took it out. She will be back to work next week. (Though she wanted to go back sooner.) I began the rehab therapy for my own surgery. Gotta get the muscles built back up in my shoulders and neck again. They are still saying that I will not be able to lift over 50lbs after all this. Yeah!!!! That Weekend Is Over...costly
Good Morning…it was a solid weekend full of…mischief while both Bonnies and my Vehicle required brake jobs and mine also needed shocks…that was a shock to my system…all this while trying to celebrate our 33 anniversary. Oh well we made it through it all, less money of course…Dinner with Friends on Saturday night was a blast and we even set out to see Fireworks at the Local Venetian Fest in Saint Joseph Michigan…the fire works were canceled! on july 19th we suffered a great loss. Hopped down to Vegas to see Coldplay last night. A great show and worth the trip. First of all, even with all the talk of a recession, I certainly didn't see any slowdown in Vegas. There may be some good deals to get in hotel rates these days, but don't expect it to be slow. The whole town was hopping this weekend, starting with the oversold flights. Once we got there, I was staying at the Monte Carlo where they had no open rooms till 3pm. No space at the pool area, I ended up having lunch in the brew pub. The food was good as usual. Tables were all packed, with $10 minimums for those that wanted to gamble. For Dinner, we ate over at the Chinese Wok at the MGM Grand. At 6pm, there was a 45 minute wait for a table. We had time, so we had a drink at the bar and watched a little UFC before eating. The Sushi and chinese were both good. Not at the top of my favorites, but certainly not bad either. I saw it last Friday on opening day. I did enjoy up, and thought it lived up to the hype in many ways. What I have been hearing today though, seems to be a bit much. Best movie of all time? Not sure I put it up that far. While a batman movie, the star of the story is the joker. We do get a sub plot involving Harvey 'Two Face' Dent that is interesting, but clearly the story revolves around the joker, and Heath Ledger's performance. This version if by far more darker and intense than the Jack Nicholson version. Nicholson's character was over the top. Ledger's version is more psychotic in its portrayal. He is pushing this morality play, trying to bring out the dark side in everyone. No material needs, its more about creating chaos. And its played well. Like third world place are just not my type of thing. Really, who would of thought. But I like my bathrooms clean, and my showers in a tub. GULP.
