Things That Make You Proudest Of Your Children
Well some of you may know this and some of you may not. My daughter has gone to live with my mother. I am not very happy about this and as a parent I miss her very much. This is a rather complicated thing and I’m not really sure what all to say about it all. Teens push their boundaries and test limits I know this so my daughter is closer to 16 now but is still 15. I have seen her make very good choices and also some pretty dumb ones. Who hasn’t done that as a teenager. She has made more good ones than bad ones and I’m very proud of her for who she is as a person. She really does try not to follow the flock, herd group and remain her own person. My First Cappuccino
I made my first cappuccino this morning since buying my fabulous espresso machine! I have been drinking espresso over ice since I got it. Now the weather is changing and getting much cooler so it is time for warm coffee drinks. I put the milk under the steamer and it heated it up and then made froth to put on top! Starting A New Job
Well today i start a new job. Its part time nights and weekends which is fine cuz i want to go back to school and finish my Criminal Justice Degree. I wish I never would have let my ex stop me from going but now i have no one in my way. I can go to school during the day and work nights. Meeting

My Tattoo
So, today I want and saw the tattoo artist to have a consultation for the tattoo that I want to get. First off he was 15 minutes late, but as soon as he saw me he was like. Wow, long time no see! Its funny how even after years and fights and everything now that I'm back in KY I find myself slipping right into that role of protective big brother. My Surgery Yesterday
Hi to everyone, I had my arm surgery yesterday and they had some complications. I only have use of one hand for about three weeks while my bad arm is casted and splinted. A Day Off
It is so nice to have a day off from work, i been workign off and on 6 days a week for a few months now and my god i forget how much it takes out of you, to scramble all in one day to get everythgin you need done for the weekend so you dont have to do it after work. Greek Roasted Chicken & Potatoes
A great dish to serve when company is over. Ingredients 6 lb. chicken (roaster) Salt and pepper 2 – 3 Tbs. dried oregano 4 - 6 baking potatoes, peeled and quartered 1/4 C. butter, melted 3 Tbs. lemon juice 3/4 C. chicken broth Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Growing up in Middle Tennessee one of the stories I have heard and probably the most popular legend is the one and only Bell Witch. Growing up kids would dare one another by challenging them to enter the bathroom, shutting off the lights and repeat, “I hate the bell witch.” three times. A Full Weekend!
Well so far I have six outta 15 pages of a love story drawn up for "Pink", a shoujo manga. ("girls' comic" in english) I should have the other nine done by the end of next week. One of my best friends and kick ass artist Matt, is playing "editor" to keep me on schedule. So tomorrow will be mostly house work, job hunting, prepping for the classes I'll be teaching on weekends for the next seven to eight months, some episodes of Avatar...and then it's off to the drawing table! Thank the gods for the sacred bean...aka COFFEE, lol! Saturday, if all goes well, I get to hangout with former co-workers, which means Spanish food, and wine...so glad I'm not driving. Emphasis on "if" though, as plans don't work out too well for me. One of the reasons I'm not on the bomb squad. Lol! If that doesn't happen, well more time for the drawing table, and listening to J-Pop while work! Yay! Sunday, drawing table again, and a "Heros" marathon with the crew Sunday night!

Why Do I Blog About This?
I know that many people use this forum to hook up or whatever. I'm here to meet new friends and hang out too. But when one of our own community members was killed by her boyfriend, well, I just couldn't sit by and do nothing. In my life I am a Social Worker and Therapist. In my job I am an Advocate against Domestic Violence (here after called DV). As such, I feel that if I don't use a forum such as this to educate people about the reality of DV that I would be doing everyone, including myself, a grave injustice. I am well aware that this is not a popular topic. I am also well aware that many of these blogs will be uncomfortable for you to read. Again, it's not a popular topic. But think about this...you may feel uncomfortable reading it; imagine how "uncomfortable" the victims feel living it. And don't say "Why don't they just leave then?". It's not that easy!
