Recently, I was contacted by a collection agency regarding a hospital bill. When I told them that I would be making all my payments to the hospital, they told me it would be easier if I were to pay them instead. I am so stressed out with my Dad being very ill and putting so much time in at the dojo, my body is just drained. I am not much for talking today. Story Of How I Was Injured
I wrote this like 2 years ago.......a lot has changed since then! Let me give you a little background about m. I am married and have 2 kids. I have been in the Army for 11 years and was stationed at Fort Lewis (the first Stryker Brigade). While on my 2nd deployment to Iraq I was injured by an E.F.P. and lost both my legs. For those of you that don't know what an E.F.P. is I will explain. An E.F.P. is an Explosively Formed Penetrator. It is basically a metal cylinder filled with explosives and on the top of it is a copper plate. When it blows up the copper plate gets super charged can go through armor like it's butter. In other words it is a shape charge. I was on a night patrol in Baghdad. We were doing the same kinds of missions that we do all the time. That night my platoon was trying to enforce a curfew so whenever we saw a car we would stop them and tell them to go home. Having A Hard Time
The hardest thing that I am dealing with right now is the sense of not being good enough anymore. My whole life I have strived to be the best at everything I do. I have never let anyone tell me that I couldn’t do all the things that I wanted to do. While I was in the Army I felt like I was a part of something bigger then myself. Another Weekend Gone In The Wind
So the weekend went generally well, the grandparents came by for dinner and we had a good laugh, spent most my time on Fubar, and that's pretty much it. I was hoping to be able to save some serious money to goto a school in town called ITECH and get at least an associates in Business Management, but the Goal is not very feasible on my poor budget, I could qualify for some grants and loans but the last time I did that I let things go with them and the loaners did not appreciate that very much at all, so I'm staying away from that route. Not The Best Weekend
I went to see friends this weekend. The family of a guy I flew with and who died while flying beside me awhile back. We usually try and go and see them around Father's Day.
