Life
I haven't posted or been online much recently as my grandparents have been having surgery (Grandma) and been ill...(grandfather). About a month ago my grandma had thyroid surgery to remove cancer and all was removed and she is healed and back to normal. Three weeks ago, my grandpa fell at home and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia (again) and a broken rib. He spent the rest of that week in the hospital and then the following Monday he was put in a nursing home. A week and a half after being admitted to the nursing home (July 4, 2007, to be exact), he passed away. Knowing my grandpa it would be appropriate that he would pass away on Independence day, as he was a veteran of WWII and very proud of that fact. Also, he was born on Christmas day in 1917, so he was born on a Holiday and died on a holiday. I think he wanted it that way. I was very close to my grandfather and am crying as I type this. Lately there has been a lot of drama in my eyes. IF you got a problem with someone DON'T involve me with it. Either settle it yourselves or keep it tween the two (or more) of ya. LEAVE ME OUT OF IT!!! For those who know JAK then you know he sends out Christmas Cards the old fashion way via snail mail. If you are interested in getting a card from JAK then you need to send your information to him in a private message (name, home address, screen name, and whether or not its just you or you have family). The plan is to have them in the mail the week before Thanksgiving to give the lazy bastards who work at the local post office plenty of time to make sure your card is delivered before Christmas (last few years JAK has heard cards didnt get to them in time). I've Come To The Conclusion...
I've come to the conclusion that I really like both my kids home. lol I know..sounds weird and if anyone is reading this they'll say big frikkin deal. It's sad to say that I'm only 31 and my brain actually does function in such a random way, but this is the best thing I have ever read that describes how my mind works. A Question
Why is it we find ourselves sometimes giving control of our feelings and emotional responses over to another? Not total control, but we let them influence those things to the point where we can't understand them ourselves anymore. Getting lost in a person because they felt right, and then you realize you feel incomplete when they aren't around. Then when they say something unexpected, the anger sets in. As a Company, Southwest Airlines is going to support "Red Fridays." Last week I was in Atlanta, Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. So besides me being sick for the past week I was just on the phone with my uncle and he gave me bad news. My aunt's mother is at the hospital, she isn't doing so hot... She is in stage 4 of brain cancer. We haven't heard what kind of time frame she has left. And there isn't any kind of treatment that can be provided due to the stage she is in. So I had a pretty funny evening today :D First off, I read a friends blog, which just made me laugh that laugh that you can't stop until you start crying. Ok, my birthday weekend….starting on Thursday before my birthday my husband called me at work mad about some money issue that I told him I wasn’t sure about and would have to look into when I got home. My Day
Have you goten up on the wrong side of the bed and realized you should have stayed in bed?? I woke this morning in good shape...nothing was wrong...not problems...till I walked out the door. First I got my truck locked in reverse...couldnt get it into neutral. So After 30 minutes under the truck I got into neutral. Then I got it running...(it sat 2 years) and after several attempts. Once it was running I was checking thing s like water. I noticed the gas line by the gas filter was leaking. No Problem. I tightened it and all good....still running. i noticed this strong smell of gas still...look under the truck and the line is leaking. Shut the truck off. So Began cleaning the inside of the truck. Sooo on sunday i experienced my first NASCAR car race ever. Infineon Raceway up in NorCal, it was incredible. Well yesterday I had a total meltdown over what's been happenin' in my house with my dogs. I want my first tattoo but it has to be something that means a lot to me... only problem is i cant draw. The Great And Secret Show!
I remember being a kid and listening to the symphony in Severence Hall. Thinking that those musicians must live a great life and have amazing attention span when certain sections were not needed in a work. When I was older and I sang behind the orchestra with a choir, I saw that the brass section, when not playing had their "field and stream" or whatever magazine handy to bide their time. You could have blown me over with a feather. Working as a chorus member in an opera is exhilerating and zany. If someone ever told me that the hottest thing to do in a green room was to play euchre and connect four. I would have laughed you off as a buffoon. Alas, that it what we did for all of the performances. I love it to distraction! Nothing is as funny as a room of confident singers, nor as frustrating.
